  1. First I knew of SP2 was Windows Update moaning it was ready to install. Win7 seems like its where Vista should have been at release. I wouldnt call it Vista with better UAC and UI though, it seems much slicker than that. But not a massive update I agree.
  2. Got the model number of it Mart?
  3. I give it about a month before you start modding. If we had a quid for every member who said they wont mod (probably myself included!) we'd not have to worry about running costs of the forum!

    The techical term is Sprinkle
  5. Can you send emails or PMs? Tried full reply and not just fast reply? Tried IE and Firefox? I've left you spaces for smilie replies
  6. Tell them you need to bleed them all and in the correct order. When TGM did mine, we did it right and in the right order and it didnt feel right. Went back again and we had another bash and this time a bit more air came out. The Zed is a pig to bleed and it needs really quite a lot of fluid to flush out any air if there is some in the system. Unfortunately you need to just keep taking it back until they have it all sorted.
  7. thougth it was a festoon the same as the dome lights inside Come to think of it I am wrong, and it is a sidelight bulb, and the reason I didnt change mine was that most sidelights are front facing and this faces sideways, so doesnt cast the light into the boot. Maybe thats why I thought it was festoon

Not to mention most of the +1s such as my other half, who have just as much input on the forum, just arent actually members!
  9. I assume you've asked on the MLR Ben? I members are quite knowledgable so will probably have some good ideas. Just prepare for the stupid ones too! Adam@Z1 has a good working knowledge of a lot of cars so you could PM him Oh and moved. Although a technical topic, its not about a 350z
  10. Afraid to say that the indicators are T20 and not P21w - these are the ones you want http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... odID=52189 Sidelights and numberplates use the same 501s. Boot is a festoon but I forget the measurement
  11. I wouldn't call Leon a lesser car (I'm an ex Leon owner ), it has the same 1.8 engine as the Golf but on the Cupra R you have the bigger turbo, intercooler etc as on the S3. Yeah this is exactly what he's doing, Leon downpipe etc and the turbo from a 225 TT i believe. Then a remap. I'm an ex Leon owner too. Thats what made me laugh though, we know its not a lesser car, but funny that it should have better bits than the Golf! Guess its an easy upgrade path for a Golf as so many Leon owners upgrade their bits so it would hopefully work out cheap to get the bits for the Golf
  12. Fair enough, better to have the car for Wales than all the dyno runs Definately on the slippy slope of tuning now mate with talk of fuel pumps and injectors. Look forward to the results
  13. As Gaz says, decent mid range gain, but I expect there is a little low end and top end gain to be had. Did they not dyno your car before doing the tuning then if the before numbers are from last year? Or is that just to try and get as close to stock number as you can? Also how does their dyno usually read? More conservative than others or more optimistic?
  14. 1 ) John & Patricia (Fri, Sat, Sun) 2 ) Mike & Bex + Martin & Liz (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon) Booked 3 ) Richie (not 100% sure on days yet, will be Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun for def, possibly Weds and Mon too. need to sort things with work 4 ) Chris & Tracy + (Ricky & Karen, provisional) (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon) Booked Amanda is looking into B&Bs, so I've removed myself from the list, looks like we've (well shes!) booked one already
  15. lol..i never understand guys like this....why not just buy a good car to start with?!?!? R Ironic that the lesser Leon parts are being used for the Golf You would expect the Golf to have the better parts to start with
  16. Major PITA! I too have destroyed my undertray and its now only held in with about 3 bolts. Putting copper slip on them helps but you might then lose them if they work free
  17. Faceslap doesnt lie, it is his birthday! Happy Birthday Martin, hope you have a good one :drunk:
  18. It really depends on what car you have. If it already has very good handling and braking then why not do power first? Theres no reason not to. As the others have said, all things being equally matched, you would do suspension/wheels/tyres and brakes first before upgrading power. Exterior is completely up to the owner as to when to change it, again it depends on what they want to achieve. Seems your mate is a bit of a sheep, being told to do things in an order, without using common sense to work out what acutally needs to be done
  19. Oh dear, I can see this going down hill very very quickly. You should have known better bronzee I'll say I would be the ECU, as I'm the brains of the operation, but quite often get it wrong
  20. Very minimal differences tbh. Try sending Matt@i4detaling (7MAT is his username) a PM and see what he says. I'm sure there was a post about which of the waxes suited which colours.
  21. I would vote gimmick as to the sonic bit, but as a little scrubber, it could be quite useful as Mark has found. Cant see it alone will shift brake dust, but will help when used with the right products I guess!
