  1. I'm tempted to get a GoPro HD when I get my next lot of pay, they look really good. The view of the cockpit is slightly wider than most would get from point and shoot cameras as the Canon G11 I have goes quite wide angle. Hopefully get out and take some video soon
  2. Sounds like you are on the right lines if you want something more civilised and less brutal. The Zed driving experience is completely different to a Scooby or Evo. It will feel a lot slower but thats because the torque is so linea. When you first gun it, you will think it has no power until you look at the speedo and see how fast you are going. Its also much more fun in the bends, you have to drive it properly, unlike a lot of 4WD cars where you can just point and squirt. If you want to get more power out of the Zed though, it will be expensive. Factor in £10k for a good job going SC or turbo. Staying NA you wont get much more power. Going by what you've said, I think the 350z would be a good fit for you
  3. TBH looking at my usage, I've used 220MB since getting the phone in Oct (over 3G not WiFi). So I guess 500MB a month is more than enough. All it stops is the people who JailBreak and then tether the phone with a laptop to get mobile internet. Will be interesting to see what useage you get if you buy the tethering bolt-on with the new tariffs, wonder if you go back up to unlimited? I'm lucky that most of the time I am at home or in the office, both of which have Wifi.
  4. I think Martin is the current club phone book, sure he will ablige if you ask him nicely
  5. I knew the new strut bar would come in useful eventually Take one Cullmann 1004 universal mount, add a ball head mount and mix with one 370z and voila This is the first mount I've found that opens wide enough to fit around the bar. I was going to get a Manfrotto Superclamp, but it didnt open wide enough. The clamp doesnt come with a ball head, so you'll have to find one otherwise you cant tilt the camera. In position and ready to go... View from the mount... (would probably reposition it slightly and zoom in a little on track) Got if from http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/ , perfect fit for anyone with a 370z looking to get a good solid camera mount.
  6. I have the highest NA numbers - oh whoops wrong section As the others have said, in these cars all on different dyno's you can't really compare them, the differnces can be put down to dyno variance, hard to say who is higher unless it's on the same dyno at the same time. Added to that it's not all about peak power. The 370 peak power isnt much more than the latest 350 but it has a much flatter torque curve which makes a very noticable difference on the road.
  7. Didnt think Abbey ran a Dyno Dynamics?
  8. Blimey, you did a proper one on that Alex
  9. I can combine multiple mods into one post, just keeping them seperate until they fill up. Go faster stripes and Carbon will be making an appearance at some point, both exterior and engine bay
  10. They are fine for anything that doesnt require specialist Nissan knowledge which is basically anything that doesnt need the Nissan Diagnostic equipment. Servicing, brakes, clutches, aux belts. Its pretty much all the same on any car. Better off with a good inderpendant who knows how to do these things than some spotty oik that claims to be a Nissan specialist, when all they service is Micras day in day out! As I say, SJB are VAG (VW, Audi, SEAT, Skoda) specialists, so they have the computer for that stuff, and are highly regarded on the respective message boards for those makes. Just as TGM Sport in Fleet are Honda specialists but know a lot about the Zed too
  11. Dont use the main dealer Give Jim a shout at SJB if you need any work, unless it needs Nissan's Consult Diagnostics, he should be able to sort it
  12. gtfu Good luck with that one
  13. Now the factor is really kicking in eh, especially with the syncro rev? How many miles have you done, nope what I am really asking is have you got past 1200 miles to let it have its head Just crept over the 1200 mile mark last night on the way back from Reading with Ben in his Evo - he thinks the 370z is much quicker than the 350z, I managed to keep up with him this time Learnt my lesson with the 350z. Left it too late to do many mods without having the OEM bits to put back on (as they were knackered), so doing it right this time
  14. Not all bad, O2 want £255 to upgrade mine (business contract) and will give me £165 back for my 3GS 16GB. £90 to upgrade seems fair to me EDIT: Read that wrong, they will give me £221 for my 3GS
  15. Just reopened registration for Modified Live - click here to register Please keep comments in here than in the meet scheduler.
  16. Not yet its not, plenty of room for improvement (although the improvement does cost a bit )
  17. Just take it around a few dealers and see if anyone can match or better it, thats the easiest way to see if its a good deal. Also ask yourself if you are happy to pay that? You can haggle til you are blue in the face, but if you are happy with it, just take the deal. Are there no other pre-built MY10 storm whites in the spec you want? A few dealers have cars in the forecorts now, so if you can get one already in the country you will save money as they will be looking to shift them
  18. I'd have Adam's car any day of the week over FI, I just feel the delivery and driveability would be so much nicer than FI
  19. Stillen exhaust now fitted (details on page 1)
  20. Yes but the way Adams car will drive will be greatly different to someone who has gone FI. It will rev much much quicker and generally be more responsive. Its not all about headline figures as we always say
  21. This is a spec I had from his car (cant remember when though, probably not up to date any more), when it was at 320WHP - and its NA Internals: Weisco Pistons (.020 over stock) Eagle rods ARP rod bolts Fully balanced and blueprinted - not only balanced as individual components, but also balanced as a rotating assembly OE Nissan bearings Full Ported and polished heads 5 angle valve job (stock Nissan valves) Tomei 268 cams (268 duration, 10.5mm lift) NISMO valvesprings NISMO headgaskets Lots of time spent porting stock, non rev up lower plenum -we logged over 100 hours between the heads and plenum, going off recommendations from MCR Japan, as well as things we found on our own. Motordyne 1/4 inch spacer Unorthodox underdriven crank pulley New: water pump, rev up oil pump, idler pullies (OEM) Final Compression checked in at 11.3:1 Misc Power Stuff: Gruppe-M Carbon intake 3 inch MAF housing Crawford headers HKS DLI II NGK Iridium Plugs (LFR6AIX-11_ Sun Hyper Ground Fujitsubo Y pipe Fujitsubo Legalis R Titanium exhaust Resonated test pipes Drivetrain: OS Giken Super Single Clutch/Flywheel with Aluminum cover 3.9 final drive Cusco RS LSD NISMO finned diff cover
  22. IMO Red Mist makes a bigger difference to dark cars than SN does. SN makes the fleck pop more in the paint, RM makes the paint nice and glossy, which is more noticeable on darker colours
  23. My bumper was £1k to replace when some nice old lady reversed into me. Only broke the fog light fixing point but was enough not to be fixable. A grand for a number and spray/fitting is about right for south/london prices.
