Other car advice please - 300C may have to go?
Chris`I replied to stanski's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Get a VAG car Stan, job done. SEAT Leon or Skoda Octavia. Rock solid cars, just run and run. Cheaper examples can be found now, might need a bit more cash then your budget, but you'll find something for not much more. My Leon was great for eating miles -
Standard factory fill will be semi-synth. Doesnt really matter if you are topping up though. I forget which grade it is, I think its 10w-30. Not recommended to do a full change for fully-synth until you have gone past the break in milage Just chuck in what you have, cant see it being a problem.

When he first signed stuff it was his proper signature, now that hes more popular he has a autograph instead - simples And yes it is Randy Rodriguez who did the 370z artwork, as above, thats what he sent to the admin of the US 370z site as a thank you
-
Split this thread off as we are going ofcourse a bit. Dblock - Ajay Panchal is the desginer of the 350z, thats why his signature is on there. With respect to Randy, I take it you havent seen his sig before Mark, you cant read his name And if you wish to question the authenticity of Ajay's signature, I suggest you speak to Arkwright, or maybe Mitz could tell us as he see's him fairly often. Maybe yours is a fake
-
Thread tidied. For clarification, the signature is Ajay Panchal, designer of the 350z
-
Nope, its stuck in there good and proper Jak. Dont know how he managed it, but thought I better post up for our members not to do the same if the fob fails on them
-
Kind of missing the point! Not really, everyone would think im called Ajay But its Ajay's car
-
Just spotted this over on our cousin site in the States. The manual says if the fob battery is dead, stick the key in the key port. Please take this to mean put the whole fob in the port, not just the key part The lad now has his key stuck in the port and cant get it out http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-gene ... -gina.html

Is that for all 4, inc tyre removal, putting them back on, balancing them again etc? TBH thats not a bad price from them. It will be far far better than any wheel finish you will get from any OEM, better than Volks/Rays etc too. Trust me, find the money and get it done right, they will look amazing

You seem to have missed what has been happening recently. Replacing 2 worn out quality tyres with other quality tyres (of different makes) would probably be ok. But if you are replacing quality with quality, why not just get the same that was on there already? What we are seeing more of is quality tyres being replaced with cheaper ones. What we are suggesting then, rather than running 2 poor tyres and 2 good tyres, is that they stump up the cash to get 2 good tyres instead What we are also saying is that 4 tyres of the same make/type (whether good or bad) is more predicatble for the average Joe than mixing. You are experenced enough to know that mixing tyres will cause them to react differently to before they were mixed, but again the average Joe (who lets face it, is willing to put ditchfinders on a Zed ) doesnt know that, mixes them and then has troubles. This post is meant for them, to tell them not to be silly and spend a bit more cash to get good tyres and not put them in danger. You can save money getting Falkens for example, but going with something poorer quality is just dangerous!

The rears on the 350z were so much easier, and I thought these would be the same. Took off the 2 bolts, gave it a tug and it wouldnt move Went and read the service manual and realised there was this new screw behind the trim which is a right PITA to get to! Why they put that in I have no idea, it was great on the 350z just removing 3 bolts and getting in Dan: That pic is taken with the bit of black trim removed, doesnt always look like that. I think thats what you're getting at that the red plastic looks pap? Its normally covered up, but I'd already removed the trim

370z Front Indicator Bulb Replacement Guide This guide will show you how to replace the front indicator bulbs on your 370z. Typically this is for swapping out the amber bulbs for silver ones such as in this case - Phillips SilverVision bulbs. First collect the tools and equipment required: [*:1h252x2t]Bulbs [*:1h252x2t]Small flat head screw driver 1. First jack the car up so that the wheel sits lower in the wheel arch to give more space. 2. Pop the following 2 clips 3. Pull the wheel arch liner down from the top to gain access to the bulb holder. You will need to pull it away from the other half which it overlaps. Twist the bulb holder 90 degrees and remove the bulb with a tissue or MF cloth. Replace the bulb with the new one and replace the bulb holder. 4. Push the arch liner back in and replace the pop rivit clips. There is a holder for the arch liner on the outside of the wheel arch (nearest you), which you will have to feed the liner into. It has a split down the middle, which is where the liner goes, it does not go on top of the clip/holder, but in the slot. Sit back and enjoy your new bulbs Before: After: Off: On:

370z Rear Indicator Bulb Replacement Guide This guide will show you how to replace the rear indicator bulbs on your 370z. Typically this is for swapping out the amber bulbs for silver ones such as in this case - Phillips SilverVision bulbs. First collect the tools and equipment required: [*:3q0aje8j]Bulbs [*:3q0aje8j]Trim removal tool [*:3q0aje8j]10mm socket [*:3q0aje8j]8mm spanner (rachet spanner makes it much easier!) [*:3q0aje8j]Small flat head screw driver 1. First pop the boot lid up and pull back the weather seal. You need to remove the seal all the way from one boot strut to the other. Then remove the small trim piece covering the fixing bolts on the rear cluster, and remove the 2x 10mm bolts on the light cluster. 2. Pop the 4 D clips for the cargo net. Do this by placing the flat head scredriver in the slot and twisting it. Pull the centre piece back (not all the way out), then remove the clip as one piece. 3. Remove the back trim piece in the boot which houses the boot light. You may need to remove the light by prying it away from the trim piece with the screwdriver. Remove the hole trim piece by popping the 4x fixings shown in the picture below with the trim removal tool. Then disconnect the light if you havent already done so. 4. Next pop the small clip on the right of the next image and remove the trim piece. This is done by popping the 4/5 clips shown in the next image. You dont need to remove this trim piece completely, just enough to get access to the nut that needs undoing. 5. Undo the nut that is on this bolt. This allows the light cluster to be removed. 6. Remove the light cluster by giving it a tug directly backwards towards you. It might take a bit of effort, but if you have undone the 2x 10mm and 1x 8mm nuts/bolts then it will come off. Once removed, turn the indicator bulb holder 90 degrees and it will come loose. Remove the bulb with a bit of tissue or MF cloth so not to touch it and replace with new bulb. 7. Replace the bulb holder back into the light cluster and test. 8. Replace everything in the opposite order of removing it after doing both sides. Stand back and enjoy your new bulbs Before: After: Off: On:

If you goto www.nissan.co.uk > Sports Cars (top right) > 370z roadster > Car Builder (middle right), then you can spec one in that colour This is the colour I think you are talking about - http://www.nissanpress.co.uk/press_site/photos/370z_roadster_2010/ext/NMGB_003_10-.jpg
-
The roadster does come in a dark reddish brown in the UK, its called Black Rose, and is in most of the advertising literature for the roadster
-
They do stuff for the 370z crowd in the States, havent really read into their thread, but will go see what feedback they get over there
-
not sure your allowed to post links to "them over there" Pretty sure you can since the ban has been lifted You absolutely can post links to **REMOVED**, you are correct. However blatent abuse of this wont be tolerated. In this case its perfectly fine. Supprised Tim hasnt posted it over here himself, might have gotten some interest

Kind of missing the point! +1 - they look great Fancy hunting down the designer of the 370z and doing something similar

What a cracking day! Great to meet more members, and could our pitch be any better? We had loads of room for cars on the gravel, perfect size bit of grass to pitch the event shelters (which are 4m x 4m each!), all right by the track - perfect for watching the drifting and time attack. Great work by Fuggles and team in organising the show We too had to shirk off a bit early as it was just too hot to handle. Should have stayed now though as got back for the dismal second half of the match! Heres some piccies: The stand in all its glory A rare chance to see just how metallic the custard cars are:

+1 - I saw Adrians being fitted (as I pilfered his Nismo ) and the quality was top notch. Sounds was great too, as said above, its loud but not just noisy as the K1 is. Well done on stepping up to a quality exhaust
