  1. Would be very cheeky if they do indeed give you nothing back. I admit the "green tax" (showroom tax) they will try to keep as its a one off, but your portion that is for actual road tax should be given back pro rata
  2. The game data is linked to the motherboard serial number somehow, so you can only restore to the same machine (new hard drive), not a new machine. Not bothered about any of my other stuff on there, just the GT5 saved game data. Guess I could buy a new hard disk and see if I can fiddle it somehow. Bummer. The threads I read made it sound like you could restore them, so assumed it allowed it across different mobos. Its crazy that you can pay all this money and not have it backed up
  3. Sounds like it will be a case of buying an USB HDD caddy, dismantle old machine, stick old HDD in USB caddy, attach to new machine and restore. I have found that seems to be the most used method. Whether it still works I have no idea.
  4. Surely the warranty will cover it? Thats shocking that you cant transfer the data over I'm sure somewhere in the underworld of PS3 geeks they can save the data for you.

Also turns out that the 370z's are all stock, with interfoolers stuck on them
  6. If you cant even be bothered to heel/toe, you may as well get the auto I found the new pedal hinge (floor hinge), made heel toe a bit awkward in the 370z which spurred me more to try the auto this time. Not regretting going for the 7AT yet
  7. Apologies for that senior moment got my Chris's mixed up. Theres already 2 mods with 370z's (well an Admin and a Mod)
  8. This is true, but as its mentioned as DVI-D in the title, thats why I made my comment. DVI-D/HDMI isnt easily (read - cheaply) converted to component output. It requires quite a bit of processing so the boxes that can do it aint cheap. Anyway does the carputer not have VGA? Thats the easiest way to run it as most screens and PCs have VGA.

Must be after Tokyo drift, as there are 370z in there OOOoohhh but how is Han alive dum dum dum ....
  10. Surely it'd be better to get a capture device for the PC that can take HDMI? DVI/HDMI is digital. Dont really know what you mean by 3.5AV? 3.5mm usually refers to audio jacks, but I assume you are talking about video given you talk about your screen
  11. IIRC the total is the sum of the normal rate for the car, and a "show room" tax. I would imagine if you declare it SORN, you will get your portion of normal rate back pro-rata, but the show room portion will be lost - which is kind of what Dans snippet says. This will be to stop people registering cars and getting the show room tax back. Its not a road tax as such and thus declaring SORN means you arent entitiled to it back
  12. Well done bud, throughly deserved - Chris puts in a lot of effort to the Wales run behind the scenes that generally goes un-noticed to those that attend, but would be very noticable if he didnt
  13. JDM Performance do them and a trader on here
  14. Same as mbs, I use USB stick over ipod, and havent used my iphone much in the car for music.

Its tough to do because it is a multistage paint. A place like S&P will want the finish to be perfect, so will want to strip the wheel and start again, hence why I said they'd be expensive and take ages (I should have been more specific). Any SMART repair place may take it on, but wont get a perfect colour match or repair, but may get it close enough. You can always try Wicked Wheels. I think they are a franchise so only as good as the one you visit. If you were near Basingstoke, I'd recommend My Alloys, they are very good, and used to run a Chips Away franchise, so know how to do SMART repair, so may have been able to do something, dont know if they would tackle it though.
  16. Well worth the money though. I have a license for CF2 - these niche software houses should be supported for their good work. I dont know what the deal is with Nav these days, I bought the non-nav version and sourced nav software seperately. Back then it was the nav license that made it uber expensive.

If I'm honest I think you will struggle to match it. How bad is it? Got any pics? Other usual suspects are people like Lepsons ( http://www.spitandpolish.co.uk/ ). Both are very reputable, likely to be able to do something, but will take time and probably charge a fair amount for it. They are very very good though.
  18. And replied. I'll see what other bits I have that you might be interested in - if they are small enough to fit in the box - its good to see it all go to a good home
  19. Good work bud. I have a Carnetix CNX-P2140 sat at home doing nothing if you are interested? One of, if not the best Car PSU's available. Yours for the postage and a donation to the forum /runs to check he hasnt thrown it away

Ouch sorry to hear that buddy I dont know anywhere specific, but WLMG Nissan in Slough are a good bunch, if you speak to G or Abid there they might know someone. It will be very hard to match as from what I understand its built up of multiple layers and shades of paint to give the smoked/chromed effect.
  21. Try both and see which you like. I agree with Rich, on the 350z, the auto isnt quick enough for me, and no paddles either unless you buy a kit which I think they do make now, but its very expensive. So my choice would be the 6MT. On the 370z though, auto FTW - just because its what I chose
  22. The way this country is headed, proper motoring itself is on borrowed time
  23. If you're willing to drive to Basingstoke on evening/weekend, I have one in the loft. You can have it for a donation to the forum. Not willing to post it unfortunately. If interested I'll have a check and make sure its all in good order still
  24. IIRC 55w/60w are standard bulbs (normal bulb rating, not HID), so 100w is considerably brighter and offroad use only. Although being in hi-beam, not many people will ever know
