  1. last time i used Kwik fit was when i had left it to the last minute to sort out an MOT and so it wasn't really out of choice. i knew i needed to get a tyre sorted and a chip in my windscreen done, so i went down and asked them to sort this and check my other tyres and the balancing and then booked it in for the actual MOT in 2 days time. So it then comes to the MOT and i get a call that my car has failed the MOT, so i go down to find out the reason for that to be told that I need 3 new tyres. Needless to say I mentioned the fact that they had only had the car two days ago and failed to spot this even thoughi had asked them to check and they had supposedly balanced these dangerous tyres and let me drive off with out mentioning it. I'd rather just get a load of £20 notes and set fire to them than go to Kwik Fit, quciker, cheaper and the results are the same.
  2. Not sure i could ever train myself to just wait and hope for the car to sort itself out
  3. Had my first moment yesterday morning. On the way to work on back roads and just gone round a tightish bend on to a patch of road white with a layer of frost (you go up a hill to go round the bend so couldn't see the road surface until i was on it) and the back end started stepping out pointing me towards the curb. Went to correct and back end stepped out a bit the other way and thought i might be headed onto the wrong side of the road at the one time that morning there was actually a car coming the other way Thankfully i managed to keep it together and away from both car and curb. i certainly wasn't driving like a maniac, in fact the mini in front was pulling away as i thought i would take it relatively easy. Clearly not easily enough though. Not the kind of thing i need before my first coffee of the morning.
  4. Check on the Professional Traders forum there are two insurance providers there. Chris Knott and Sky Insurance.
  5. It sounds like a good deal, I need to have a think on when/if I could drive down to get it. Spare time at the moment is in very short supply.
  6. Not a bad idea. Real mods will have to wait for a while as the house is draining most of my cash.
  7. Tired of the crappy thin one that slides everywhere.
  8. Thanks for the welcome. Here is a quick pic i took this morning, will try and take better ones at a later date not using a mobile and not when it is such crappy weather
  9. Got a 350Z GT about a month ago and have been trawling these forums ever since. Lots of great info here, mostly it seems on how to spend lots of money. Unfortunately at the moment the need for a new bathroom, en-suite and kitchen trumps all
