Sounds like a fair deal depending on what condition they are in. You can spend quite a lot replacing the bearings on Hope hubs, but they are pretty bullet proof and you can replace everything on them if needed. If they suit the type of riding that you do then it seems a good deal.

I imagine that was static though Andy, remember that the rear will sag and loosen up the head angle when weighted up

Ebay job? I thought they were DH wheels or something being Halos. At least they wont bend! Halo were primarily dirt jump to start with, then DH and now normal MTB too, but those Combats look like DJ/Dh wheels to me going by the weight. Too right they wont ever need trueing though If you want some good strong wheels that dont weigh half as much as the bike - Stan's Flow/Arch on Hope are a good combo

According to CRC ( http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=12386 ) they are about ~1.5kg/wheel, thats about the same weight as the pair of mine (rear wheel 1555g vs 1700g for the pair of mine!) I wanna see some pics of you hucking stuff

Aye cant go wrong with Hope and Halo Wouldnt like to have to drag them up the trails we do though, would be a hell of a workout

You need to be careful with these discs. AFAIK they only make them for the DVD Drive satnavs and not connect premium HDD systems. Eh370z (works at Nissan) already confirmed there isnt an update for the HDD systems yet.

If you went past in the inside lane (lane 1) and stayed in that lane, its technically not undertaking. Its only undertaking if you move back out in front of them again. If your lane (lane 1) just so happens to be moving faster then theres nothing wrong in that - not that half the Police in the country know that

Flashing your lights is to alert to another driver that you are there. That is the only official use for flashing your lights. Should someone interpret that as a signal to move and crash into you or others, it is their fault not yours and will be seen that way by the law too.

As with most things its all about prep. If you get decent deadening from a reputable shop then it will stick if prepped right. If prepped wrong or crap material then it might not stick. WRT the arches, do you have sound deadening on them already on the front and back? My old 350z had a small strip on the fronts IIRC and nothing on the back. Stone pings used to annoy the hell out of me so I covered them front and back - that shut it up

Swinley has quite a few drops, upto about 10ft. Not that I go anywhere near them, biggest we do is about 4-5ft. Think my road bike would explode if I did anything bigger than a curb

I use SecondSkin. Just as good as Dynamat but a lot cheaper - I get it from CarAudioDirect - although they dont seem to be selling much of it any more. You need to cover any panels that will resonate with it. If you tap the panels you'll soon work out which ones need doing and which dont. Wheel arches are worth doing just to dampen out the noise of stones alone. Theres quite a few panels that you'll want to do so make sure you get a "boot kit" or bulk kit of some kind.

Main places are the wheel arches at the rear and boot floor. Well worth the time taking the interior apart from the seats back and working out which bits rattle and vibrate. There is a lot of space behind the sub/cubby where you can get rid of a lot of noise as it acts as one big sound stage behind them in an enclosed area.

Just learn to ride properly James, you shouldnt need a beefy strong frame. I used to do drops on a skinny old fully rigid frame and never broke it

Just get one bought and enjoy the fun before we get taxed off the road. That will be the biggest problem as petrol will no doubt get silly expensive!

My Stumpy is about 0.5-1lb lighter than my hardtail Rockhopper! ~28lb vs 27lbs. Mainly down to the Stumpy having air forks instead of oil and Stans wheels which are lighter but way stronger than the Rockhoppers standard wheels. Its amazing what they have done with full sus bikes in the past few years

Probably closer to April 2010 for MY2010 cars. IIRC MY2010 was first for roadsters which were introduced in April 2010, then 40th Editions and other coupes at the time (May 2010).
