    Ferries

    This link might help. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... ight=ferry
  2. Sorry to resurrect a very old thread, Ming, but I was wondering how well these pads had worn. I have been considering replacing mine and have searched on the web to find a supplier. It seems that a number of them can supply a front set for about £25, but I have not come across the ABTEX ones. In fact, some sites don't specify the manufacturer at all. Where did you get yours? Do the 200SX turbo pads also match the rears? Any advice would be most welcome.
  3. Yes - winter driving in a Z! And it came out well overall, despite being hopeless in the snow. The Porsche won, of course.
  4. I have seen Kumho Ecsta K11 at good prices. Anybody any views on them?
  5. I've been searching for rear tyres for my JDM 17" wheels (235 50 17), and I've seen a few sites offering Falken ZE512s at a good price. Are they as good as the 452s?
  6. they went for a lot of money I seem to recall, didnt they Jim ? I think it was nearly £50 eventually.

    P3 Service

Aren't the service schedules and what they cover, in the service book? Yes, and that's my problem - I don't have a proper service book for my import - only a bundle of indecipherable sheets from Japan, and the detailed service sheet that was done by the importer when it arrived. Anybody know where to get hold of a service book, apart from Nissan? Ever seen any on eBay?
  9. I had back problems for years until I got my Prelude with a tiptronic box. No problems after that. That's why I went for the tiptronic Z and so far, it has been great. It's just coming up for its P3 service, so I am assuming that I will have to get the garage to check the oil levels etc. but I 'm hoping that there will be no problems.
  10. Bought my last set from Blackcircles.com - competitive price and fitted at a local fitter of my choice from their list, at a pre-booked time of my choosing. Probably works out at around £7-£10 per tyre to fit, balance etc. I notice a few online suppliers now do the same thing.
  11. I was outbid on these the last time this seller had them on.

    P3 Service

I know it has been asked about before, but is there a detailed list of what should be done at the P3 service? Mine is due soon and as it is an import I am thinking about getting my local garage to do it and provide my own oil etc.
  13. Haven't heard that expresssion for a long time though. Another one I like is "he's so mean he can peel an orange in his pocket".
  14. Is he Scottish as well? Careful Sarnie - quite a few Scottish owners on here. Very non PC comment.
  15. The saga continues. I plugged my work laptop into the master socket and even tried the "test" socket for a while at the weekend. Trouble is when you do that, you cut off all the rest of the phones in the house! Anyway, on Sunday I got a call from BT faults department to say that they had changed some settings and that I should get faster speeds soon. Sure enough, after about 10 minutes, the download speed shot up to around 3.0mbps!! I monitored it for a couple of hours and it hovered around 2.5 - 3.0mbps. By the evening, though, it had droppped back below 1.0mbps and has been around 0.5 mbps today. I have been back on to BT faults and the latest is that I will hear from an engineer in the next 24-48 hours. I'm not holding my breath....
  16. I think you also have to note that Dorian has all of the chrome bits gleaming and the tyres are nice and glossy - all helps to set off the gloss on the body.
  17. Hadn't thought of the wireless option. Good suggestion. Might have other benefits when using work laptop as well as desktop too. What about this business of re-gaining the lost speed ? Think it will work?
  18. I have been having some problems with my internet access - the speed suddenly dropped last week from just under 2mb to 0.2mb. I'm on BT Broadband so emailed them and got a reply to check out the router, filters etc., which I did and emailed back saying no improvement. I got a further reply to say that they had done a line check and there was a fault between the exchange and my premises. They had passed the matter to the line faults department to take up. Meanwhile, the speed has gone back up to 0.9mb, which is only half the speed I should be getting. Last night I got a call from them (in India) asking me to carry out one further check before they called out the engineers. They told me to connect the router to the master BT socket instead of the extension that I currently use and check the speed for the next 3 days. I have to remove the cover from the master socket and plug the DSL line into the "test" socket that sits underneath it. They say that the connection speed will return to normal if I do this. Short of moving my whole PC setup from one end of the house to another, if I am to do this I will have to buy around 20 metres of cable to plug it in! My question is - will it work? And if so, can any of you experts tell me how?
  19. I like mine, and they're legal, I think. This was taken before I fitted the chrome grill.
  20. Cheers Kev. They arrived today complete with fitting kit and clear instructions. Just need to find a paintshop now.
  21. Felt really sorry for that woman who saw her own property being torn out of the crate by the gangs on the beach. Who are these a***h***s and why did the police not get out there much quicker to stop the looting?
  22. At the price I paid for these, I can probably get them painted and still have change from the price of importing them from the states.
  23. What kind of skirts do you wear? (Up here we call them kilts, by the way! )
