  1. I think it's for Val's benefit mate; FI == Fairly Improbable
  2. If I didn't confuse the context why else would I have posted up Val? It's not as if I don't usually use the correct spelling (check my posts if you don't believe me)
  3. Good shout on the Bridgies, but Falkens? Never in a month of Sundays!!! I had the Falkens on my old Celica, they were absolutely lethal in the wet - really - like trying to balance a penny on a beachball. you cant judge tyres from car to car!! these are the latest 452's.. I doubt you've tried these, but anyway anything will be better than the God awful Bridgestones I have Continental on my 19" wheels now but I still think the Falkens shade it over these even I've got the Falks 452s on (following lomoto's recommendation AGES ago) and they've been great, tons of grip in the dry and decent in the wet too. A massive improvement over the 'stones.
  4. And going on about the MG Just kiddin mate
  5. At the moment I'm thinking another Z mate, tbh for the money there's nothing I'd rather have. Its time to slate Andy - but since I was a little lad I've always, always wanted an M3 (and I do like the new RS4) but I really can't justify or afford to splash iro £50k on a car at the moment and I can't see that much is going to change over the next 12 months. The decisions I've gotta make is what colour, buy nearly new or a bit older, buy a modded one (ie s/c or tt), kitted or not, buy a jdm and mod it myself. I don't know mate, I'm in no mans land at the mo! But theres plenty of ideas going on, just need to work out my plan. Gotta have a goal eh or you're never gonna get there
  6. It would definately sway me and I'd be prepared to pay a small premium for an extra year of warranty, although as I've just said to Rob, I'm not expecting it to increase my price purely to help me to sell nice & quick when the time comes
  7. Really? I wouldn't. I think that 400quid is a small price to pay (especially in your example when 15grand is being spent) for a bit of peace of mind. I'm not expecting to get more but a nice quick sale is always nice and I'm hoping that it'll help
  8. Possibly true Stew, but I always take the attitude that something is better than nothing. Plus if I end up selling locally I can always point them in the direction of my dealers
  9. Its a smart move Stew. I've just done the same (thanks to the advice on here), I've used Amsoil via Guy @ Opie Oils. In total I ended up paying slightly less for a P1 as I would have if used their oil but instead I've got MUCH better oil in her, happy days
  10. My experience with getting warranty work done has been first rate, as Tim says it is very much down to the dealer, but mine have always been very receptive to carrying out the work. Rob, surely if you were looking at 2 cars - 1 with 6months warranty on and 1 with 18months warranty on for similar money you'd pick the one with longer warranty? I know I would, I intend to use it as a selling tool.
  11. And oil which is at least to Nissan's specs or above
  12. Tim, would you not agree though that to extend the Nissan warranty (I'm thinking more as per my example) would be a good decision? Agreed that a lot of other extended warranties have far too many get out clauses.
  13. Always seemed strange to me - if you wanna lead a single life, be single, its not rocket science is it?
  14. Yep, I'm with you Stew (as I think I've already proved!!)
  15. Guess your view all depends on how happy you are with your partner and how much you respect them. Asides from anything else I couldn't handle the guilt of p*****g around behind my missus' back, plus I haven't got a good enough memory to be a liar
  16. I reckon I'm gonna tack another year on - about £450 iirc. Suppose it all depends on what your plans are for the car. My plan is probably sell next summer and it'll be a better proposition with 18months manufacturer warranty on it
  17. Thats what I was thinking, just didn't really think about the context too much.
  18. I was mate, just the wrong sort
  19. The problem with the Potenzas (particularly on this car as they're a harder compound) is that they need a lot of heat in them to work well, hence in the rain they're worse. Change em mate, that'll sort it
  20. Aw b*****ks, you're right!! Knew going to the caff for a brew & a cig in the morning and missing the odd lesson would come back to bite me sooner or later
  21. Sarnie you mong I was agreeing with you with the first bit and the second bit was meant for Dave - I'm a Liverpool fan too
