Definitely a facelift import and maybe it has not been tinkered if it was imported brand new with Jap spec, and the one owner suggestion is really true
-
Very clear and thorough Steve - an excellent guide

Now you're talking - if you got the cash and want the wow factor in winter, a Bowler will be hard to beat.

Be interesting to see how Mercedes dishes out the engines...............and the upgrades.

You ain't left me much to add The one thing I learnt way back from my trialing days is that if you find yourself sliding downhill and dabbing the footbrake and 1st gear is doing nothing to help, is to use the handbrake (lightly) in conjunction with the steering to help control the direction of the slide. Rather like doing handbrake turns but just enough to help the direction you are traveling. In that way you can have some control over where the car eventually ends up. This is the one time I favour diesels - anyone who has driven a 4x4 diesel knows that dropping it into low gear on the slippest of slopes and literally taking your feet off all pedals and letting the torque in the engine braking do the work, will bring you to stop with no lock-ups. Unless the slope is that steep and its sheet ice so that the sheer weight of the car means that only throwing out an anchor will stop you

Cheers for the offer, Sarnie but I've got Coops literally 5 mins away who's offered to garage and nanny her. Great result - thats why this forum goes from strength to strength - there is always help round the corner - nice one Coops

If you still have any problems - pm me - I am a qualified planner and help people out who have problems with Local Planning Authorities. Some of the comments made on your thread reflect the understandable confusion and frustration about the planning system and there is a lot of misunderstanding.

All fits quite easliy in the car when out of the boxes but suggest you spread some protective sheeting around. The centre pipe is best rested against the passenger seat (again protected and reclined and with the headrest removed). I use bungy straps to help hold the piecs in place and use large handbags in which to put the parts, expecially the OEM that is coming off.

Do you have a Zed or are you looking to buy one? I might be looking to buy one. Are they rear wheel drive. I also heard there is a beam in the boot that restricts space. is this true? Also, what's the difference between the GT pack and non GTpack, with JDM pack? Bob You are asking questions that are regularly get asked and are well covered in the FAQ section on the forum - the search button is your friend and all the answers will be there. But I am surprised you need to ask the question as to whether a 350 is rear wheel drive after 68 posts - and the answer, is yes it is

Needs spacers and lowering

Wouldn't know Chris, but there again are Nissan understating the performance as Subaru do, for example, to help with insurance banding?

and...... However, there is no rush to implement the procedures above as Christmas has been postponed until 3rd June 2010. This delay is due to Father Christmas having to do a “Principles of Moving and Handling†course to be legally able to shift heavy sacks of presents. Also, moving at very high speeds through the upper atmosphere to distribute presents over a very short time has introduced the risk of collision with the many satellites that are now in geostationary orbit above the planet, so distribution has been contracted out to specialist land-based companies. In addition, access to chimneys now requires appropriate scaffolding to be erected at each dwelling. -
MODS. YOU*DONT* NEED TO CHANGE THE TIME.

Yep, many of us have fallen foul of that one - understandable when your computer clock automatically does it for. One for Admin, but bearing in mind we have members from all over the world and with the ability to logon via laptops/phones from wherever we may be, I guess it is not an easy fix. (Expect I'll now be told otherwise now with the number of IT whizzos we have on the forum ) -
And when you have, I bet you will change your mind - as i did. It would be interesting to see if anyone has done a back-to-back test by putting a standard 370 against a standard 350 (any of the 3 engine sizes) round a track by the same driver to see how they compare. I know what my money would be on.

I would have thought that the vast majority of owners who use this forum bought their ZEDs with a desire to have a great driver's car at a relatively affordable price. For some the finance side is more critical than for others and sometimes the passion has to be sacrificed, if only for a period until circumstances allow the choice again. Having driven the 370 on track on the limit and auto and manual versions on the road if it is still very much a driver's car. I can understand the doubts about whether the changes are worth it, and yes its looks are questionable, but then we are comparing it with the classic 350 shape and that is a hard act to follow. The fact the exhaust is so tame dosen't help . If I had the choice I would love to own one of the early 350's and mod it but those days are gone (as Sarnie likes to regularly remind us of my advancing years ) but more the point is that I do not have a garage. So these days I look at owning a car that is covered by warranty so I only have the running costs to think about. Fortunately my current 3 year old ZED has been completly trouble free and it sailed through its MOT. But that does not stop me being concerned now about wear and tear that might now mean big garage bills cropping up and its the hassle that's often involved as we have seen so many times on here. When I upgraded from a June 2004 Zed to the December 2006 ZED I had to shell out about 13k and that is the sort of money I would have to part with again for a s/h 370 - and another 4-5 grand or more on top for a new one. Is it worth it - probably not but then I don't think what my wife's replacement jewelry and handbags are worth it - but if that's what she enjoys and while we can afford it that's her choice, like my car is mine. It won't be long before I retire and these luxurys are no more but I am damed if she and I are going to miss out while we still can afford them. Whilst I could look at a Cayman etc, it may be sad but I thoroughly enjoy the community on here, (even with the stick Sarnie and Beavis give me ), and I don't think that would be the same on Porsche/Audi forums. So yes, I would fork out for a 370 even though it might cost me and it may have some downsides. At the end of the day it all comes down to personal circumstances and choice and what value we place on things we enjoy.

Does Liz know she's getting a bike for Christmas

I'm on the wrong side of 60 and still do Falkens are great wet weather tyres but the softer side walls mean that 'spirited' driving in the dry does take away the advantages of the 050As in the dry. For the best handling/grip/wear combination the MS2's seem to tick all the boxes and they will be my choice when the time comes

Will do But you didn't Must try harder done it again
