  1. A nice wind-up with the thread title - fully expecting some naff ply thing and and turns out you could be making yourself a nice litter earner Better get you signed up as a trader
  2. Thread split see here for mini meet idea viewtopic.php?f=87&t=39467
  3. Yep, always best to get someone else to double check and if does turn out to be the proverbial clicking rear axle issue, here is a useful guide as to what is done to rectify the problem : viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15928&hilit=axle Don't accept a grease and reassemble job which will last no time at all, but insist on the repair you see in the guide
  4. Yes ol'boy, it is rather exclusive area you know But do drop in anytime
  5. Must be one of the best mods for the money and have to say you made some very changes elsewhere on the car. Better patent the mod quick
  6. Yes, particularly if the car is used when the road is wet - see Ekona's article that cookiemonster has helpfully posted up. The 050 is a far superior tyre to the 040 and with full 050 tread on the rear and say half 040 tread at the front your car's handling in the wet could become quite evil.
  7. List updated 29/7 and added to page 2 of the discussion thread: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=38862&start=15

  9. Can understand your reluctance about letting the dealers get involved. Try positioning your phone somewhere else in the car and see if that helps. I use a Brodit phone holder which simply 'clamps' around the A pillar so I can see the screen and it also means the phone can be charged. On the occasions when I did forget to switch the bluetooth on and got a call I simply swithched the phone's loudspeaker on and could carry on the conversation without it going through the car's system. If re-siting your phone does not work I would suggest that before going the dealers you 'pair' another phone with the car and see if you get the same symptons. Which if you do, will help convince the dealer it is not a phone issue.
  10. I started a list for names to be added if you are interested, whether for one day or both. Those that have confirmed are on the main list at: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=38861&p=579784#p579784 1. Ebized +1 2. ChrisS +1 3. Chesterfield +1 4. Lincolnbaggie 5. Shire350z +1 6. Wasso +1 7. xstric9x + Nixy 8. Darren-B 9.
  11. I presume you have adjusted the volume? I do find I need to close the windows to help the conversation and still have the habit of talking towards the mic but have not had anyone say thet can't hear me. On the odd occasion the bluetooth has not connected - mostly down to me (but not always) not remembering to activate the bluetooth on the phone which I tend to switch off to save the phone battery if I know I am not using the car for a while The fact you can dial contacts through the sat nav system and beam them from the phone to the car makes life a lot easier. Overall I do find it a significant improvement on the 350.
  12. The it certainly does sound as though it is the clicky axle issue - a well known one and see the links Beavis has provided. ZMANALEX provides replacement kits - here you go: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=21842&hilit=clicking+axle which are a whole lot cheaper than going into a Nissan dealership to get a fix
  13. If you can hear the ticking noise with the engine idling and the car at a standstill it may be the fuel damper - a not unknown issue see this thread as an example: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24433&hilit=fuel+damper If you can't hear the noise when the car is stationary then follow the checks Beavis as provided
  14. Remember the OP asked: " is it me, or is the drivers seat tighter across the back/shoulders than the passenger seat" not the bit we sit on. To me both the upper parts of the seats look the same?

    Close escape

I tell you what, to stop them cossie dreamers in their tracks we'll lock this thread for you
  16. It was probably you when doing the test drive as the natural thing is to make sure you are feeling comfy and so you are more aware of the 'fit'? I suspect that when you sat in the passenger seat you were either concentrating on the ride etc and/or looking around at the bits and bobs rather than worrying if the seat was OK, as that would not be your normal place in the car
