  1. My original lasted 17 years. I have fitted with new OEM and protected it with Bilt and Hamber Dynax UB prior to fitment.

    I have indeed hit 150,000 miles!! I have not repleaced the clutch since 120,000 miles; before that I replaced it at c. 60/70,000 miles. I think there was something up with some of the early ones. I have bought a spare clutch and flywheel though. No rust yet! Some bubbling of paintwork on oine of the wings, but otherwise nothing!

  11. The 'upgrade' xenon lights emit a whiter light, but not a brighter light; you actually see less with them. As has been mentioned, you can change the aim a bit. You could upgrade to MY07 Bi-Xenon lamps, but this is very expensive (hundreds). You could upgrade the halogen main beam to a brighter bulb (eg by Osram/Phillips).

    I am just on 144,000 miles. Latest acqusition, passenger side ballast for xenon headlamp from RJN motorsport. I did get some Dual Xenons, but they turned out to be for a LHD car, so I had to give them back. About 3 months to go until 150,000 miles. This year has been reasonably cheap in terms of Zed motoring; had to fix a petrol leak earlier in the year, from the filler hose (known issue, subject to recall on US cars, but, unfortunately not UK ones).

  15. Zed car prices have gone up in the past few months. I am told that the trade price of a Zed has gone up by about a thousand pounds in the last couple of months! Having said that, if those are the book prices for trading in a Zed, I would snap them up.
  16. I drove with Vredstein Wintrac Extremes in Latvia in December (coming back via Berlin), and the car was superb, even in a blizzard!
  17. 155-167 is quite a bit of speedo error. It would have been useful to have GPS confirmation, as there may have been other factors such as going downhill and backwind. There are also variations in performance between individual engines, so a car that is not electronically limited will have varying top speeds amongst different examples. In the 350, an actual 155 reads about 158.
  18. The 370Z is meant to have an actual (not restricted) top speed of 155 mph. The 350Z is electronically limited to 155 mph. With the 370Z, they had to add a spolier on in the U.K. to get the car up to 155 mph; I think it has longer gearing than the 350Z, so despite having a more powerful engine, is meant to have a lower theoretical top speed. This is what the guy from Nissan Europe told me anyway.
  19. I have driven there several times, and to Turkey and Bulgaria too. They didn't cover Turkey when I went there; now both companies do. Driving in Istanbul without satnav is an absolute nightmare!
  20. TomTom gets its data from Teleatlas. Garmin gets it data from Navtech. Navtech actually drive the routes to put them onto their systems. Teleatlas use a combination of things including existing maps. Navtech has better coverage of Romania, and some other Eastern European countries. Teleatlas only has rudimentary coverage of Romania and some other Eastern European countries.
  21. My Zed has 140,000 miles. I had the following problems: 60,000 miles: New exhaust/brake discs/clutch/flywheel 100,000 miles: I chose to fit new suspension 120,000 miles: 5th gear synchro went: new gearbox/clutch/flywheel
  22. Perforation is when there is a hole. Corrosion is rust (in steel), but doesn't necessarily result in a hole. (In Aluminium, corrosion is different to rust, but the metal is affected). Corrosion can lead to perforation, if not treated. Under the terms of the Nissan Anti-perforation warranty, you have to get the car inspected yearly, and any surface rust/paint problems treated.
