  1. Vibration is most likely to be the strut brace housing or boot trim. Also check the tool kit. Stereo is rubbish first thing when the discs have condensation on them - usual in other cars too. Beware the skipping BOSE though..... Pressures as above.

    Rear dent

Sorry to hear it mate. Cue Mike to recommend Chipsaway (discount with an AA card) for the repair.....
  3. Hi David, from a fellow Berkshire resident. Welcome to the site. Fancy the Reading meet on Tuesday?
  4. I would say there is normally a core of about 80-100 cars and possibly 150+ over the course of the event. Not huge but some nice cars get rolled out for it. MA Developments is not far so they always tend to bring something bonkers.
  5. All good for me. I will be going back roads there so can meet wherever. What sort of time are people planning on being there? Last few times people have turned up for about half an hour, every half an hour so we only ever had one or two Zeds there at any one time.
  6. If the club gets the time then no reason why not IMO. Donny has no noise restriction for the track....
  7. I have all the information from the organisers, they just need me to go back with names and reg numbers, current closing date for entries is April 2nd. The earlier we get confirmations the better plot we are likely to get. I know a few people are away etc. and we have some time. Who else wants to take the 350Z-UK name to the outside world?? Mods / Admins, does the club have any signage or similar for club meets?
  8. Give it a go. Be interesting what sort of checks they claim to give their 'Approved Used Cars' before putting them up for sale......!
  9. Nothing doing at the moment so weather permitting am there. Want to meet beforehand and arrive in convoy?
  10. How big does an LPG tank have to be before a car is classed as bi-fuel.....??
  11. Moving is always stressful..... Welcome back to this mad house anyway!!
  12. Quick update - information from the organisers..... Show car is £30 for the weekend, including camping. Passenger weekend ticket is £35. Depending how many we get, track time can be arranged for varying times and costs too.
  13. And I hope they continue the 'tradition' of Donny South. North Weald airfield was certainly turned into a blokes hang out for the day. What those girls didn't do in the sunshine......!!
  14. No worries, let me know and I will do the same. And you haven't heard it after I've had a go setting it up yet!!
  15. http://www.autotuner.co.uk/ Another to be considered for later in the year....
  16. +1 - if under warranty then no reason why not. It's arguable that the door is covered by the bodywork warranty which however long.....
  17. Careful of H5 stalking girlfriend, you will spot her a mile off, she stews rabbits for fun Gut answer is mid bass in the door, mid range on the dash, tweeter up the a pillar...... But, that may not be practical. So we can take a look. You won't screw it up, but it would be best if you made the most of your equipment. You have PM with my number.
  18. Exactly, that way the number of people each person needs to keep in check can be kept sensible (depending on actual numbers!). Shire, are my partner in crime then?? Can all the people who are definitely up for going please confirm. £35 a car for the weekend. EDIT: Link added - http://www.istsuk.com/index.html 1. H5 2. Andy

    Rays Wheel Refurb

IIRC a refurb should be no more than about £35 a wheel.....
  20. If you remove the current covering and use a fine surface filler all over to get a smooth hard surface, the next trick is using something like Alcantara to cover it. I would say go for a blue that matches the car. You can either get 'real' Alcantara (mine was about £90 a metre....) or you can get a copy stuff from fabric warehouses at pretty reasonable prices. The tip with either stuff is to remove the backing lining from the material before you use it. If you don't, it won't stretch and since you have flowing lines that would cause huge problems. If you have a mate who is a good trimmer, then it might also be worth him checking whether or not there needs to be a seam anywhere. Because if you get into stitching that is a whole new ball game.....!! My boot and doors for you.... (with a silly amount of £'s worth of Alcantara everywhere!!) As for set-up, it won't take too long with the tweeters. All you need to do is wire them up and put long bits of speaker wire on them and blu-tak on the back. Move them around and listen for a while and then decide where to mount them. When do you want to do it? Mounting of the speakers IMO is more important than the speaker itself. I have heard Focal Utopia's sound awful and JL TR's sound amazing - all because of the time spent setting it up. You could have spent half the money on the speakers and got a better sound, rather than just chuck them in. Having all three components in the door may well not be the best locations for them.
  21. I am happy to get involved in this. Anyone fancy being the midlands / north partner?
