  1. Firstly, the paint should be water based. Secondly, check that the paint doesn't have two variants of the same paint code. I know that Gunmetal definitely does as I currently have a multi-shaded Zed..... My paint guy just rang his supplier and they pointed him to the page in the swatch book and that showed clearly there are two variants of the same code. My Zed is the lighter one, and the bumper is the darker one. Chris makes a good point about the differences in material too. My factory rear bumber is ever so slightly lighter than the metal. Although my filler cap is pretty good. Finally, lacquer finish can affect it too. A better finished lacquer will let more light through to the paint and can affect the perceived colour finish.
  2. Peroni on tap is getting more widespread down here. As strong as Stella and actually tastes nice!
  3. I don't think so, the BOSE headunit tends to have a lot of the trickery bits in it to deal with the overall system.
  4. Good film. Not as amazing as everyone was hyping it up as IMO. It had a couple of good performances but the storyline let it down for me.
  5. Wow, the front end of that look amazing. Nicest looking front end on a Zed? I think so!
  6. Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Save the pennies, the pounds will come!
  7. Excellent, looking forward to it. My trek is hundreds of miles, so that'd be an even bigger fight!!
  8. UDM - Ultimate Detailing Machine, by Meguiars.
  9. Most detailers you can use all over, wheels, glass, plastics, interiors etc. I also use alloy wheel protector occasionally as a final polish, from AutoGlym.
  10. Agreed, just jesting. Maybe Lambo doors just aren't one of their best sellers.
  11. Now what have you done?! If you're trying to inflict misery on others, this is called karma!!
  12. Have you seen Paul T's handy work with headlights?? Contact him and get something custom done.
  13. Looking good Martin. Am sure Phil will pop some spacers on for you
  14. +1 I have all three and will try and remember to bring all to Haigh Hall. Feel free to try them all. Yes you are free to try the products out on my car whilst i sit down and watch Thing is, I probably would in the right mood...
  15. The last big show of the season - Donny Show at Doncaster racecourse. This is about as centrally located as we can get for a UK wide show, and the team are looking to get as many members along as possible to show off their cars. Your car does not have to be modified, this is a car enthusiast show as much as a modified show, and the venue lends itself quite well to it too. There are no details up just yet regarding costs etc. The club is looking to get a stand and I have been in contact with the organisers about locations and so on. Expect costs to be about £20 - £35 for a weekend pass and similar for a passenger. Why attend? A chance to meet some of the people on the site is always good. Even if it does mean you suddenly want to bling your engine bay when you never saw the point before, it is great to see other's cars. We also tend to have good support from our trader friends, and there will be some prizes on offer over the weekend. The club is also looking at assisting members in someway with the show, details to be confirmed over the next few weeks. Any of the people that have been on Wales Runs or to other meets will know these things have a great atmosphere and are good fun. I will do the organising side of things, I'd love as many of you as possible to come and be part of it. Please register interest below, and put on the best car club there....

  17. thats a half decent hotel, a few weddings there, so dont be surprised to see one only down the road from the meet to, you'll have to take some nice A-roads to get to it That's what I was hoping! Sounds good. It says it is close.
  18. Cheers With the *cough* other site No worries, I wasn't sure if they had a stand. You up for Wales and Donny? Wheels look good, what you got planned next? Fancy catching up for a drink next week?
  19. Looking good mate. Who were you at Brands with?
  20. Facebook cuts all this old skool malarky out Indeed it does I'm always amazed at the amount of "cool kids" that seem to have gotten no where and all the geeks seem to be doing very well for themselves. Interesting how things turn out So are you admitting that you have got no where or that you had no friends at school? That measurement is directly inverse to the number of posts you have on internet forums. Another geek with no friends Fear not, you hold that title!
