  1. Only issue I can think of having rear sensors in the front is you'll have to be reversing for them to work!
  2. The water from washing the cars on Saturday is still frozen at the end of the drive, so it's stayed fairly cold here!
  3. Cheers, looks like a call to Opie. I'll post the answers up!
  4. If it's the ST150, the new model, then quite a few bits, I've worked with a few of their owners and also have a few exclusive brake parts for the ST too... It sure is.... It's the lady's run about so it will need to be subtle! I hear that an induction kit can release a bit more go on them?

    Before and After

The guy doing some of the work is a nightmare, has been in there since early April That's a story for a future thread though maybe You'd better call him and let him know the 370Z has already been developed, tested and built in that time!
  6. +1 How many miles has the clutch done?
  7. I've seen that before and waved to the guy. Not sure where it is hidden though.
  8. What have you got for a Fiesta ST??
  9. Apart from that stitching on the seat!

Still?!?! What are you doing to her!?
  11. I think there is some truth is what everyone has said, but I think there will only be pockets of 'recovery'. I've spoken with family in the motor industry about this sort of thing quite a lot recently, and one thing that keeps coming up is that in the next few years we will have a used car 'shortage'. With fatories being shut / reduced hours / extended holidays, there just aren't the cars being produced. So there will ultimately be less 08 / 58 / 09 cars put on the road so when people come to want a '3 year old sports car' their choice will be limited and they may well have to pay more to get what they want. Does the Zed fall into that category? Quite possibly. It's nowhere near as common as the M3 and some of the other cars listed above, but who knows. Either way, I believe there will be some sort of recovery - supply and demand rules don't change.
  12. Welcome back matey. Looks like a nice trip!
  13. You can, it's just you'll get a different feel in different conditions. Wet weather tends to magnify performance and if one or other is much better / worse in the wet, it can make handling a nightmare. 4x4's it's often even more important as the diffs and sensors need the same tyres so if distributes grip properly. Side to side is a definite no no though! I've run different tyres front and rear for 12 months with no problems whatsoever, surely with any tyres they will feel different front to rear as you are running a different contact area (tyre sizes) and the power is going through the rear have you run different sizes and had problems, is that why you posted that ? to the OP , given the chioce out of those tyres..........falken I'm not saying it is against all that is good in motoring to run different front and rear tyres. I am saying that it can make things unpredictable. Example - I had a set of Yoko A539's on a previous car (FWD) and when the fronts needed replacing they were out of stock so I bought some BF Goodrich. In the wet, the front had fair bit more grip which made my FWD car a bit tail happy. Once I knew about it, it was ok and I could drive to take it into account. But the first time it near chucked me across the roundabout! So, given the weight and power of the Zed, unless you're wanting to maybe create a difference in handling it seems like a risk to me. Also, the manufacturers test and set up the cars with tyres as a constant - you might not get the handling characteristics you'd expect from the car with different tyres front and rear. And I'm not talking about size, I'm talking about actual tyre brand / model. I agree about across the axle, especially on the rear, different tyres is just silly.
  14. I got my mini plate from craigs plates as well. All went smoothly.
  15. Confused now...... This says RBF 600 is Dot 4, but exceeds 5.1. What does that really mean?! Is it the right stuff?? http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-894-motul-r ... stems.aspx
  16. Looked great a while ago. Not so good now. At least the GTR will get cheaper for us to buy now!
  17. If I've got PF discs, pads and Brembo calipers, it seems a bit silly to me not to put decent fluid in the system. Especially since it's the only thing that will stop me!

  19. Toyos at the moment for me. Heard good things about the Falkens too. I wouldn't mix and match either.... Double check whether the fronts of the same brand are at least available. We know the Falkens are, not so sure about the Dunlop or Kuhmo.....
  20. Thanks for the replies. I think the answer is to get the following:- Motul RBF 600 fluid x 1 (double check garage for supply!) Denso Iridium spark plugs (Opie looks good) Oil - looking at Opie's site, I think I'll get a 5W 30 of some brand, just not sure which one. As I say, I had Millers last time and it's been fine (and only done about 4k miles!) As for the service, I think I'll need to shop around and get haggling. Looks like I can get it quite a bit cheaper if I try.
