BOSE are just a marketing company who put their name on stuff other people make. Short answer is no. If you buy a Clarion, the output level from it will be different to that needed to operate the controls etc. All the electrickery to do the phone kit and the steering wheel controls is in the BOSE unit itself, so any aftermarket head unit will need the connector (unless you're not bothered and are ripping everything out of course).

I agree with you about it having become more fake, but when it was just a car review program it went under. So I guess it's good to have it at all! As for classics, it's no different to anything else in life - money buys it! I'm sure there are plenty of artists that would kill to live in picturesque places but can't afford it and have to put up with LL 50 Diddy there instead. At least James Martin already had a garage full of cars and doesn't have a habit of modifying them Jay Kay styleee!!

That plastic stuff is carbon reinforced AFAIK, it breaking up is part of the crumple zone I guess. Looks like it did it's job - good luck putting it all back together!

All depends how badly someone wants something, new or not. I do agree that what Nissan have done is put the NISMO wheel into the price bracket where there is a much wider range of good quality wheels available, and if you can get those wheels are a lower price second hand, that is what will drive the price of second hand NISMO wheels IMO.

Who knows Stan! Build quality seems to vary by car model now rather than brand.

They seem to blow hot and cold. I had reasonable service from them until it went very sour (which is what Chris may have been alluding to). Maybe one of the Jekyll and Hyde dealers out there..

Full of Xmas cheer here isn't it...... I thought Top Gear was entertaining, I laughed a lot at the way the three of them wound each other up and showed 'motoring' in another new light. As for James Martin, is he not doing what any of us would have done here??? He spent hours, days and weeks working on that dream. Yeah, it costs money, but then the Mille Miglia always has and it's only the most elite cars that get in. I quite enjoyed it.
