And dont forget the top half of the TT looks like it was designed by a different person from the bootom half. Noticed one of the TSBs was specific to Trailer Light Wiring. Hadn't thought of that - now, where did I put my caravan....

With the wide tyres and rear wheel drive its not going to be a lot of fun! If the snow has settled before you leave home, dont go. For getting caught out in it, buy a set of "Auto Socks" for the rear wheels and they should help. Enjoy the summer!! JohnK

Whilst quoting my "1st registered" date I started wondering if there is a list of build dates anywhere? I'm sure with the VIN the factory would have the information, but wondered if it is in the public domain anywhere? Cheers!

Happens to me (or by me) occasionally - usually in 2nd (once in 3rd!). Irritates me that I've done it - should be paying more attention, but as you say, it still revving freely and I just need to complete my manouevre! (FYI mines a GT4, redlines at 7000rpm, warning light set to 7000 so it starts flashing at 6500...)

I've noticed a changing down "notchiness" from either 6th to 5th or 4th to 3rd. Doesn't happen all the time so still trying to work out if its me! Will ask about it at next service (End May). JohnK

Theres a guy on another UK group who makes them and people say they're great. I got my Nissan one from Holdcroft, fitted it myself, including cutting the necessary slots in the boot mat and the extra boot carpet. Just judge it with a Stanley knife (measure several times, cut once, allow for the angle, etc.... ). Very happy with it. JohnK

In my Rallying days a couple of friends of mine used to rally a 240Z (always referred to as their 24oz - think pre-metric). Both their surnames began with V, so they were always the "Vs in a Z". Was very quick in a straight line, but not so good through the bends. Driving technique was "point and squirt"!! Good times! This was the heyday of Rallying on public roads...

I was talking to an autoparts chap today and he said they used to stock something called Vinyl Spray Formula 40 but with the prevalence of leather and cloth seats they couldn't get it any more. Google doesn't turn anything up (in the UK). My shoe polish experiment didn't work, but I've just bought some black shoe dye (recommended by the autoparts chap) and will experiment with that this weekend... Cheers!

I think there were quite a lot of old models left in dealers when the new model became public knowledge and these are now being offered registered with low milage. Certainly my local dealer has a several (4-5) 55-plate cars on the forecourt, including Roadsters. IMO the motor trade does all sorts of weird things, such as pre-registration, to manipulate their sales figures particularly when there's a bit of unsold stock around....

I'n still trying to "clean" some scuff marks on the boot interior trim. One suggestion was to try and discguised them with a black marker pen but tried that and resulted in far too much gloss for my taste. Now I've thought of trying shoe (or even "boot") polish. Anyone used this on vinyl? Does it work? Any pitfalls? Cheers

From the pics (so far) I dont like the styling. Dont like te rear lights, dont like the front lights, dont like the rear-quarter pillar. Oh well, I'll just have to get another Z but with TT!

Hi. I had a similar some time ago (provked when turing off the cruise control). Booked it in, but by the time they could see it (they wanted a whole day!) light had gone out again - I think three or four "normal" journeys and it resets itself. By the time the dealer had it (and I a Micra) they spent the whole day to tell me they couldn't find anything. Very annoying... But its been fine since!
