  1. Or the Ford RS200 which Kent had? (No that's not a mis-type for RS2000!)
  2. 11:30ish, Caversham Park Road, Reading - Kuro (I think) Roadster. Salutes exchanged!
  3. 11:15ish, Caversham Road (under Railway Bridge), Reading - Kuro Coupe. Not sure he/she saw me...
  4. 09:30-ish Richfield Road, Reading. Sunset Coupe. Exchanged salutes!
  5. I drove a new Almeira with Sat-Nav but I'm not sure whether this is the same as that fitted in the Z. I didn't like it. The maps weren't as informative, or easy to read as my TomTom and it didn't do postcodes!!
  6. I'm up for meet anywhere between my home and Exeter (I'm in Oxfordshire). Great excuse to pop down to Devon for a couple of days! My Z is being serviced in Exeter on 1st Nov.
  7. One of the recent tele-cop documentaries had an unmarked Evo they had got specifically for an operation targetting thieves of performance and high-value vehicles. I'm fairly certain it was Sheffield and the driver's normal mount was T5.
  8. There's nothing wrong with a botch .... or did you mean a butch? Betch(a) you could do a batch...
  9. Seen on the Wallingford Bypass on Sunday, about 13:00. I was five cars behind so you may not have seen me before you truned left (Crowmarsh) and I turned right for home!
  10. I've dug out my old Torque Wrench and although its in good condition and still seems to work, I wondered if there was any way of checking the calibration? TIA.
  11. I've not had one in my tool set for many years but caring for my wheels means I'm now thinking I need one. However, having watched the man at the tyre centre struggling to get theirs under my Z I wondered if anyone could tell me what minimum saddle height I need to look for in a spec? Model recommendations also welcome! TIA. p.s. If this is in the wrong forum group could one of the Mods pls move. Ta.
  12. Progress: I've got a formula. Local paint supplier can mix but can only supply a half-litre pot or in spray cans. Spray cans would be £12.40 a go. Will look elsewhere now for someone to supply touch-up pots.
  13. I'm going in to my local paint supplier later this week to get them to do a colour match on my Brembo calipers and see how much a they'd charge for a pot of touch-up paint. Dont know a price yet, but I'm sure multiple pots must bring the price per pot down, so anyone else up for this? JohnK
  14. Oh, and a p.s. You must let them warm up in the mornings! Very hard ride when cold.
  15. No ABS or ESP involvement - just front end very twitchy under heavy braking. To be fair, the nearside front was badly worn on the inside when I took them in for new ones, and that was probably to do with a kerbing some 24,000 miles earlier!
  16. I've had the Bridgestones since new (25,000 miles now) and am on my second set. My only problem was when I changed the rears before the fronts - the fronts got quite upset, as in upset the balance of the car in braking. After I changed the fronts its been back to normal. I feel very safe on them - yes I've had the occasional tale-wag but I'm fairly certain that was my driving rather then the tyres. I will admit that when the time came for renewal I looked (and read) about several other types and I think some of those look very purposeful (The Dunlops we saw at Millbrook looked the bees-knees) but in the end decided to stock with the tyres Bridgestone produced specifically for this car (You must get the right tread-pattern - size and type matching is not enough). So my car's still OEM, and I still love driving it. Cheers
  17. Whilst at the CAT driver training event I discovered that the Rears, fitted by my friendly fitter were pattern EX. Everyone else on Bridgestones seems to have KXs! Checked with Bridgestone and they confirmed I should really have got KXs for the Z, but that if I hadn't noticed any problems in the 5000 miles on them they would probably be ok! All that after 135mph on the banked circuit! Lesson: Get a knowledgable fitter/specialist! Someone asked for the details of the place I finally ened up at.... The aligment equipment is made by Hunter Engineering (USA) and your local equipment can be located by going to www.alignmycar.co.uk. The fitters I used were at Purley on the outskirts of Reading, and they are part of the merityre group, details www.merityre.co.uk Cheers all!
  18. p.p.s. Alginment equipment is from Hunter Engineering (USA) and details can be found at www.alignmycar.co.uk
  19. p.s. Unlikely to have come off the front as they are different sizes!
  20. The rear toe-in is certainly adjustable but I'd recommend you go to a fitter with one of the four laser devices. I had similar characteristics on the front, but the first thing they had to do was adjust the rears. Cant remember the brand of device they were using but if you are in the Reading area let me know and I'll give name and location. I'd highly recommend them but the work doesn't come cheap!
  21. I came but could only stay until 7.45. Seems very popular but I was the only Z whilst I was there!
  22. I came but could only stay until 7.45. Seems very popular but I was the only Z whilst I was there!
  23. It isn't on the GT4 Register so probably no one from here. Interesting quote: "This special edition comes in only Bright Yellow or Kuro Black. There are very few Black Model available for sale and are generally sold at a premium to other models." There are/were 76 UY and 100 Kuro!
  24. Its the Nismo body kit - I think!
