A VW forum has negotiated with them for a regular meet there and get to use the bar etc. Not sure if they get track time.....I seriously doubt it but it's another good suggestion. Maybe we should all put our heads together and see what we can come up with over Christmas??? I am more than happy to organise something on a monthly basis at different locations if that is what people want???

There's plenty of places. The Fairmile in Cobham for one. There are regular car meets there throughout the year so they would readily welcome us. I am sure there are plenty of other places people could recommened as well.

Does anyone know where I can pick one of these up from without the rather excessive price tag that O2 and/or Vodafone want?? Either brand new or used but good condition? Don't really trust ebay for phones.

I personally think we should move it round the area a bit to vary the drives and scenary for people. imo, going to Bluewater every month might get a bit boring after a while.

*Note to Mods - I wasn't sure where to put this so please feel free to move if you think another section is more appropriate. Ta * Has anyone got experience of fitting Tein Coilovers with EDFC? How easy are they to do and would I be stupid in undertaking the fitting myself? I'd like to think i'm pretty mechanically savvy. but don't want to strip the car down and then panic as I haven't attempted something like this before. Do I need specialist tools or expert assistance in setting them up?? If it's going to be too much of a job then I think I will get them done by a professional as it's quite a major problem if I balls it up!

Yeah, the one thing we are very pleased about is that it will be very comfy for the long drives. Plenty of room in the back for someone to have some kip on the journey if needed and plenty of room for the kit we need to take As far as colours go, I think we are going to go for a solid black. Nice and subtle and will look right for the car.

Yeah, we should be ok I think! One of the teams dads is a sprayer so it is going to get the small rust patches sorted and a fresh coat of paint and the other lad works for Shell so that is cheap fuel so the V8 is ok!!

There were starting issues yeah I think a new battery may be in order very soon!!! Mileage is currently at just over 150k but has full Mercedes service history up to 135k! The only other thing I can find wrong with it are some knackered wipers and a stone chip in the offside headlight. Apart from that she is tip top!
