It's because it is hydraulic. In the summer the liquid will expand more as it is hotter thus offering more lift and in the winter the reverse effect happens.

Thurrock and Bluewater are 5mins from eachother, the tunnel and Mahoosive litted up Bridge is inbetween the two When I went to your parents house I went through the Tunnel....I think Yes, thankyou J, I know where the tunnel and bridge are and what they are!! I was just unsure if Thurrock was on the north or south side and vica versa with Bluewater! My parents are in Surrey and I live in West Sussex, both south of the river unless something amazing has happened overnight!

I'm getting confused as to which side of the river Bluewater and Thurrock are now. Goddamnit!!!!!!!!! However, tunnel run is all good!!
