2 friends and I are entering the Scumball next year and I picked up our new car for the event last Friday. The rules state we could only spend up to £500 but I managed to source a 1987 Mercedes 420SE..that's the 4.2 V8 one! Here it is in all its glory as it was when I picked it up. I'll keep it updated as I sort it out and get it ready for the trip! Not bad for £450!

The silver plastic piece just pulls off, has a clip at the top and smaller clips down the side. There will be a part number on the back. Give your local stealer a call and they will be able to give you a price over the phone

It is a seperate piece to the main handle. Dealer should have one and shouldn't be too costly.

On the way to the Bluewater meet an Azure went past me in the fast lane at about 6.30 going through the 50mph roadworks at about 70! Would have tried to catch up but didn't want to get another ticket! Looked like an import.

Was an awesome night!!! Cheers Jay for organising it. Nice one fella Was good to meet some new faces as well, Stevie, Danny, Mark, Strider and their +1's Quality video's Stevie, I was crying with laughter when they came out with a chocolate and popcorn cake with a candle for Pingu and made him stand on the chair! Fair play to you Jeremy for playing along and having a chuckle! The tunnel didn't go quite to plan when we all decided to head for the right tunnel and then it was closed so the dash for the left one was interesting!! Loved the sound of the Z's in the tunnel though! I majorly pi**ed off a Merc driver next to me who's wife WAS happily asleep in the passenger seat until I went past him!!! Got a bit seperated after the tunnel after Jay's random pulling over onthe M25 so just had a spirited drive home!

Will certainly get some looks that's for sure!! I like the touches like the customised center caps on the rims!
