  1. Nice...lile the wheels. Work Meisters if I'm not mistaken..
  2. Well they are on. Love the subtle rasp now at 3000rpm. Was driving around everywhere yesterday with the windows down. Noise is only slightly louder, but just as I wanted it. Performance, well the throttle response is a little better from 2 - 3000rpm...I think. Anyway very pleased and a doddle to fit. I followed Dorian's excellet Tech Guide, (thanks Mate). Spot on apart from one thing I disagree with. You don't need to remove the induction pipe to get to one of the cats top botls. I just used a lond extesion with a UJ on the end. Worked a treat. I also tightened the new one up this way.
  3. If you're not happy with the ride you can alwasy het yourself some better dampers, which is what I did.
  4. Nice one. What's the number? I come from Notts. Now live in Derbyshire. Hope to see you at a meet soon.
  5. They are cast BTW and as heavy as standard wheels. Anyway what's the problem with forged wheels. They are painted so just need touching up. The skill is in the paint matching. The guy that did mine matched then superbly.
  6. You're probably right, but some people are on a limited budget or maybe just don't want their suspension any stiffer.
  7. I can get into all the forum lists, it's blocked when I open any thread. Maybe something to do with the signature pictures?
  8. No I think it's simply the firewall thinking there's some kind of risk. It is a secure government network so they are very risk averse.
  9. Well as from today I am blocked from opening a thread with this message: - Finjan Vital Security notification: URL is restricted ! BPR The page is restricted according to Departmental policy. The page you requested was blocked because it attempts to exploit an application level vulnerability. The ID of the transaction is 1EDF7528 Should you require business access to this site please: Ensure you have entered the correct URL/address. Contact your Account Manager if access is still unavailable. Access to web-based email i.e. webmail, is no longer permitted. Please refer to the new HR policy 789 (e) in the Guide The strange thing is I can open other Forum Threads, just not 350z-uk ones. So I guess I won't be posting during the day anymore.
  10. I would say the plastic bit is their to dampen vibrations. I don't think you would really notice, but at least if you don't like it you can buy a couple of new ones. They shouldn't cost too much as they are plastic.
  11. I scrapped mine a while back before I got my new wheels. Chipsaway guy matched the paint and did an excellent job. I now can't tell were he sprayed. I guess it's down to the skill of the guy in question. Good Luck
  12. Kev, MY06 get the previously optional RAYS as standard in UK, not the GT4 ones. The only upgrade option is is the Nismo 19" LMGT4 Gus Thats what i thought, so to keep the gt4 alloys exclusive Oh...That's not the case in the US. Ther're everywhere
  13. This looks an interesting Mod. Without doubt the rear is too high on the Zed which I have never understood. The mod involves cutting the rear spring seats which can be taken out in less than an hour. Click here to more information http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread. ... tokico+cut
  14. Unofortunately 18's and 19's are always expensive. I suggest you keep your eye out in the forums and eBay. I'm sure you'll find something if you are patient. Also, there sure to be some MY06 wheels becoming available as people upgrade and these are the GT4 wheels from last year. Oh and no I'm not selling mine...
  15. Have you considered buying secondhand from the US. There's always wheels for sale on my350z.com
  16. Tyres are defo all wrong, and rolling radius would be much too small and look so wrong. Also, isn't the Zed PCD 114.3mm not 100mm?
  17. Apparently Halfords sell disposable ones...
  18. Yea ditto. I'm paying alot more than that with Privilege.
  19. All, RS-R springs lower the car by 0.6 inch front and rear, so only a subtle lowering. If you are looking for improving hadling one option is to simply replace the sway bars and keep the standard springs and shocks. Personally I like this setup as it gives only a slightly stiffer ride but seems to cope better when the car is pushed. Please be warned though that I've only just fitted these. My first reaction is that they make an amazing improvement. I may change my mind but ddoubt it as I have already driven over some crap roads. Also, I'm on the inital settings so can always change the damping.
  20. This is the second time I'm done them of course, well the fronts at least, as the springs do have to come off the front. I did it today in 5 hours and that included watching 15 laps of Silverstone and a couple of visitors.
  21. I'm a very happy bunny..... I can't believe the difference these dampers make over the standard ones. The improvement in ride and handling is outstanding. The fitted like a dream also which I guess they should since Tokico make the standard and S-Tune dampers. You will also notive from the pictures that the rears are much fatter. Anyway, I'm now enjoying the car even more... It does beg the question though, why don't Nissan fit better quality Dampers, but then again I think I can answer that....COST...
  22. Love it. Wish my dog could do that.. Here he is.
  23. Thanks Guys. Fantastic holiday. I took nearly 900 photos...
