    My New 6

I'm leaving well alone at the moment. I'm very happy with the wheels both style and as they are nice big 19's. I've ordered the Alloy Sports pedals today as the standard ones look a bit old fashioned. I'm also very happy with the exhaust note. It's loud enough to be heard even with the windows up. Seems like they deliberately made it a bit noisy but in a nice deep thunder rumble kind of way. The only other priority is Zaino.

Thanks Pete. The colour looks even better in the flesh. It kind of reflects blue and greens in the sun..

The sport gets black birch and I've got black Dakota leather with antracite head lining. Steve - Keep me posted on the track days. I can't do anything before 20th August, but will be looking for a track day in September.

Don't let anyone put you off the Zed mate. Still a great car. As for track days, I've been immobilised due to the rear diff needing a rebuild. I've got it back now so need to re-fit. The last track day I did was Donington last October. I'm booked in for the RS Owners Club National Day on August 20th at Donington Park if you fancy a trip. It's £6 to get in but a good day. If you like Fords... If you do fancy coming let me know. I do want to get more track days in this year though. I'd love to do Silverstone. That main straight beckons. Would love to see what top speed I could reach there. I run out of track at Donington and only manage 130mph. PS: Thanks Tim..

Yea the X1/9 is mine. 1988 with only 43k miles. Great fun. Comapred to the Zed, I would say Big but nimble. The major difference is the massive torque. It' really pushes you into the seat in any gear. Oh and the sound track from the V8.... I also love the sport mode. It increase the weight of the steering, sharpens the throttle response, stiffens the suspension and speeds up the grear change etc.

Finally got to take some pictures of my 650i sport
  9. Jon, At 499 bhp and 384 lb/ft for the M6, your shiny new re-built twin will pi$$ on that - yes ? And just think, you won't have spent £82K ( yet ! ) Gus
  10. Good choice. I love the white pearl colour. Looks fantastic in the sun.
  11. How about Switzerland? We've been in August and it's not too busy. This is one of my daughters pictures, (scanned).
  12. I've got one. Standard on my car....
  13. Cheers Chris. Loveley to meet you and Tracy again. Sorry you didn't have time to stay longer and have maybe a beer/wine or 2. The missus said what on earth were you talking about for so long. I explained it wasn't all cars, e.g. Las Vegas... If you get any problems fitting just giv me a call on the mobile. I also have some pictures with the engine cover removed I can email you. Cheers K
  14. I've just had the Beamer done and Joe from Grantham did a fantastic job, and it looks much more difficult and fiddly than the Zed. Thanks also to Ann and Tom for arranging at such short notice. As far as I'm concerned every car I now buy new will have the full treatment. You also get a 10% discount for exisiting customers.
  15. Well comparing with my Works, which I thought were spot on and you've seen them in the flesh, so if you like the look:- Fronts - Well on my Works I had +25 with a 9 inch rim and that looked fine. That's equivalent to +31.25 on a 9.5 inch rim so +30 will stick out 1.25mm more than my fronts on the works, so should look fine. Rears - I had +29 on my Works so a +30 will be 1mm further in the arch which should also look fine. Hope this helps
  16. I did originally say the size I though perfect was indeed 9 front / 10 rears with a +25 offset, which is what Piaa Super Rozza's come in, see piccy.
  17. mod the garage then Kev I was originally thinking it wouldn't go in. It's so close like an inch wider than the wing mirrors.. You do know they fold in electrically, don't you Mine do but thats an optional extra on the BMW. I prefer to reverse in with them open and use as a gauge. Saves scraping the side of the car..
  18. Here's a SF challenge in 9.5 and 10.5 with +22 offset, (black car). This car is also lowered which increases the camber and makes it look better. The other picture (red) is 8.5 / 9.5 +22
  19. These are 10 rears though not 10.5. I said +22 on a 10.5 will stick out about 1/4 inch. A +20 on a 10 inch rim is the same as +26.25 on a 10.5, so less than 3 mm more offset than my +29 10.5's.
  20. Mark, Just PM'd you. In summary, let me find some pictures of 8.5 / 9.5 Rays with a +22 offset. Cheers K
  21. Give us a call later. I would also consider looking for pictures of cars with the same wheels say on my350z.com which is what I did. You've seen my car and now you know the offsets, so if you lkike they way they look you could work out what offset would be best. On a +30 for the rear that should be fine. But don't forget: - 1. You need to clear the brembos 2. The inside rim needs to clear the hub etc. For this reason it is worth finding pictures as proof they will fit. Cheers K
  22. mod the garage then Kev I was originally thinking it wouldn't go in. It's so close like an inch wider than the wing mirrors..
  23. Mark, Val is right, offsets are so important. I would go 9.5 / 10.5 but not with Rays offsets personally. These will be +22 all round and on standard ride hieght will stick out the arch about 1.4 inch. Depends whether you like that look. I went 9 / 10.5 with a +25 and +29. These are perfect, but you won't get these offsets from Rays. IMHO 9 / 10's are best. They are lighter and fill the arches nicely. The only wheel I know which comes in this is the PIAA Super Rozza. Very similar design to Val's Work wheels. They are +25 front and back so the rears are pretty close to my Work +29 in terms of how they fill the arch. I've got loads of pictures of Rays, so there's a particular wheel you like I may have a picture I can post. So I've stil not voted. Too many variables..
  24. Before I can vote you need to be clear what you criteria is, i.e. do you want looks or performance. Then it's simple
  25. Yuk...It's already so wide it only just goes in the garage. And I mean only... Just read this review, which most of you on here won't care about but it made me smile. Now if there is any modding to come it would be a de-limit..
