  1. Hi Mate, You will get pressure to join over there. Nuff said. Yes, I've got the whole kit. The bonnet is the most noticeable, but I also like the fact that the Paintshield is now curved. I got my Impreza Bonnt chipped badly when the car was only 2 months old, so decided I had to have the full kit. I really don't mind that I can see it. It kind of reminds me I'm protected. Whereabouts are you. We have a few meets approaching in the Midlands, 1 on 14th and 1 on 21st. Come alog to one of those and I'm sure one of us with PPF will be there. I'm up for 14th at the moment.   2. Hi Mate, I post on both and replied over there. As mentioned I've got hte full Paintshield kit and don't regret it for one minute. Had it from new. Expect to pay around £500 dependant on how much you have done.
  3. The other thing to remember of course is cost goes up inversely to weight. If you don't like them you can always sell them on probably for pretty much what you pay for them.
  4. This sounds very much like one of 2 things: - 1. The clutch is just dragging a bit and not fully disengaging 2. The Syncromesh is worn. My daughters Renault Megane gearbox had this, and it always crunched when changing down at higher revs from 4th to 3rd. Basically the worn syncro could not cope. If the revs were lower it was fine. 1) may go away with usuage and a bit of hammer on the clutch. 2) is repearable by a specialist and not necessarily a new gearbox.

  6. Mines fine. Are you sure it's not brake dust stick to the caliper. Why not try a bit of ploish maybe.
  7. Tim, Why not check with Axis how heavy they are. Mine are heavier than the standard wheels and they have forged centres and rims. Provided they are not massively heavier they should be OK. The other think to remember is much of the increased weight comes from the bigger tyres. My fronts are only maginally heavier for example.
  8. I'm up for one in the Cossie. I've been talking to Blue Flame and they reckon a custom exhaust will quieten it down.
  9. Axis are a cast wheel. They are nice wheels though but i would be worried about weight in a 20 inch. Look nice though. Not sure about spacers as well. If the are +35 then fitting a 10mm spacer will equate to +25 on the fronts which is the same as my offsets on the front. My rears are +29 on a 10.5, so these will be in the arch about 12mm, which should still look OK. You could always go and see them first and try them on. You could then see how much they weigh. Cheers
  10. Hi Ricky, Glad you like the Zed. Very different car to a 330d. I used to have a 1999 325i and loved it, but they are everywhere. I don't quite agree with you description of the Zed though. I certainly would not call it a proper lightweight, chuckable, true sports car. It's more of a Grand Tourer, and weighing in excess of 1500kg it is very heavy. Try a Lotus Exige if you want to expereince a true lightweight sports car. Don't let me put you off though, the Zed eats up the miles, has a great engine and handles pretty good as standard. I also agree with you description of it being a muscle car. It was built to be popular in the US. Evo magazine said recently that it never felt outclassed in any company. Don't forget though it is Japanese so build quality is a little different to a Beamer.

  12. Interesting observation. I'm a midlander, although the Southerners call me a northerner.. I think there might be something in that you know. I not blue BTW....far from it.
  13. Maybe worth a call. Just waiting on some shipping costs from the US. I'm definately going for these as I can fit myself, only takes a day. Just wish i'd got some of these when I fitted the springs.
  14. The views over there seem to be they work well with uprated springs as this is the route most go with these shocks. Usually RS-R or Tein. They are supposed to work well on standard springs also. I like the idea of the adjustability. I've had Koni's on the Cossie in the past and these are very similar.

  16. I heard the same on waiting time. Some dealers get your money by lying then break the news on delivery after 2 months. Also depends on the wheel you are buying. Some are on a long lead time. I researched my dealer carefully as he claimed 6-8 weeks delivery on mine into the US and sure enough they were delivered to him in 7 weeks. I also learned something on duty and VAt. I always thought it applied to new only.
  17. I think I'll just buy from the US TBH. I don't expect any UK dealers will have them in stock in anycase and will also charge the earth. You can get these off eBay.com for about £280 plus shipping BTW. These are the same as the S-Tune Nismos but are adjustable. Should match up nicely with the RSR-R springs.
  18. I guess it could affect alignment, but only if the tops of the struts were made of jelly.... Seriously though, I would expect the amount of movement in the strut tops from the strut bar would be so small as to make little difference to the slignment. Interesting to see if RJN agree as I'm not expert.
  19. The drift day we went one was quite foregiving as the wet the track I didi it my Cossie anyway and stayed on all day. I didn't use anywhere the usual amount of fuel I do on a track day. Tyre wise almost no wear. Dom did slide off into a deep rut and best a trailing arm though. Easy fix mind you.

  22. I've just done my spring and found the strut bar was under compression, i.e. pushing the strut tops away from each other. I simply refitted and applied about the same amount of tension using the centre nut. I searched my350z.com and found the procedure below. I might now check mine, although it will be coming off again when I fit new shocks. FYI - Per the Nissan Service manual TOWER BAR PFP:544A2 Removal and Installation AES000DE REMOVAL 1. Fix center bolt, and then loosen nut in the right and left side. 2. Loosen center bolt to the direction in the figure (ccw when viewed from passenger side) on 660° (Or turn bolt 1.7 times) to place the black mark of center bolt above. 3. Remove tower bar fixing bolts and nuts, and remove tower bar from vehicle with power tool. INSTALLATION 1. Install tower bar and tighten at the specified torque. NOTE: If it is hard to install tower bar, install it turning center bolt. 2. Tighten center bolt to the direction in the figure on 660° (Or turn bolt 1.7 times) to place the black mark of center bolt above. NOTE: The space between tower bar and engine collector should be between 10.0 mm (0.394 in) and 17.0 mm (0.669 in). 3. Tighten both nut of the right and left side of center bolt.
