  1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7174760.stm Hilarious but worrying for us with details on those discs......
  2. Spotted a shiny black Zed - Reg xx TOR in Llangollen whilst visiting my folks over new year - first parking in front of the hotel anfd then driving off. Was on foot so did not give you a wave!
  3. I must must must must must drive my Zed more before I have to get rid of it due to family growing....... I must tell my wife I love her more often. I must be a better father to my daughter. I must be a nicer person - especially to those less fortunate than myself............ ie those who don't own a Zed... Happy New Year to all!
  4. Just got this and rang up - what a con. They either get lots of money from selling your information or they get money from your call. Not fair on the poor girl who answered the phone but she got an ear bashing.... OUT OF ORDER SKY!
  5. Fantastic - thats gone round the office is no time... thanks
  6. Is it just me or does that black coupe have one mother of an aerial ?
  7. Congrats mate - and cool name.... our 2 year old Daughter Hazel Isabella says welcome to her namesake. Robbery= unbelievable... what scum. Bet you would like to have them in the sights of your 'other' form of transport.....
  8. Looking good and sounding fun. If I had not cried so many tears about having to sell the Zed and hence convincing the Mrs we could survive with a kid and just her car to transport her in then I would have probably gone down the ST route... may one ask how much with all the extras ?
  9. So what is stopping you from forgetting'to bring your boom box each week and one of your students bringing along his own ( for personal use only of course and one that looks remarkably like the one you used to bring ) and turning it on during your lesson... ? Only in this country would we have health and fitness improvement as one of the major Governments targets and then put as much red tape in the way as possible to stop it being easily available....
  10. Forgot to mention the even worse news..... its a pilot for THE WHOLE COUNTRY. Its an effort to reduce the number of in town accidents - particularly including children. Can't argue with the objective.... not sure the solution is the right one though... its really confusing as your speed limit can change every time you change street as some are 30 and some are 20. Given that the latest proposal is that anyone doing more than 50% over a a speed limit gets 6 points this means I would get 6 points for missing a "0mph sign and doing 30 in a 20.....
  11. You think you lot are suffering..... try coming and living in Portsmouth where we now have a 20MPH limit on most roads that were 30.... :rant
  12. Fav song : The Cinema Show - Genesis ( preferably from Seconds Out as its got more energy than the Selling England By the Pound version ) ( Although when my 2 year old is having a tantrum its the intro music to Fifi and the Flowertots playing on the telly ) Fav video : Just a Day - Feeder ( good shout Digsy ) ( Or any Thomas the Tank engine video...as above ) Fav artist : The Boss - every emotion and music taste covered - often at genious levels... Great question.... makes you go hunting through some great stuff and memories...
  13. So sorry to see this... Agree that punishments don't fit the crime in this country for many things and hence are little or no deterrent. Bloody PC brigade need to be strung up next to these little turds....
  14. Thanks Zedrush - just watched it on your link - with Japanese subtitles but that was a laugh too. Thanks to the others for their sugs as well.. Cheers guys
  15. Anybody know where I can get hold of a free copy if heroes season 1 episode one on the internet ? Only got into it after week 2.... Only ones i can find are US only or you have to pay. Ta.
  16. That is sooooo yummy. Assume you are not a shy, retiring type then....
  17. A Hillman Avenger.... err so long ago can't remeber the reg... J I think... anyway when I bought it ( for £230 I think! ) in 1983 it was already 90% rust... but the freedom it brought was priceless.... Suspension collpased 2 years later so it went to the great scrappy in the sky.
  18. Too all you who reported water coming out of the rear windscreen washer under hard acceleration. Had this on mine from day one ( September 2004 car ) and took it into dealer to fix - first one failed completely but Spartshatts in Botley simply replaced the non return valve that is just under the plastic cover at the top of the rear window and the problem was fixed.... given a number of you have the problem sounds like a faulty batch of return valves maybe.
  19. Oh - so that's what all those weeds are that are growing in my loft under those new fangled government subdised heat insulation lamps.... Always wondered why when we cut them down and had a bonfire night it was so much fun... Top job Ming - hope the criminals get proper 'justice'....
  20. ( It was of course Eva in the skimpy undies.... not the Mrs..... ) Well not until a bit later...
  21. Eva Longoria - Desperate Housewives.... ( the Mrs watches it .... ) you should have seen her in just her skimpy undies last night..... I hate that Tony Parker......
  22. Thanks Jimbo - what car site value for this is £17,485 p/ex - dont think this factors in the Rays so again about right
  23. Did notice on the whatcar site that the difference between p/ex and private sale was in the region of £600 for cars of around £18K. Of course if someone offered me £600 for nothing I would grab it but once you factor in advertising costs and hassle of selling and potential time differences of selling and buyiung I don't think I would bother selling privately for that much difference....
