  1. just putting a bulb in should be no problem, as long as it works, there is no visual guide you should follow. i may be wrong though as i'm not an mot'er
  2. i think we persuaded him to get a VW tiguan. he needs something to tow his caravan, something to do with the 80% rule it'll match my wifes car, as she has a golf. they are a bit of a VW lovin family. each to there own, but i find VW a bit souless
  3. i like the idea of it being hidden, and the flip up lid should act as a good sun block. hopefully the GF tray will mean easy put in and take out. but untill i take the centre console to pieces and make up a mould i won't know
  4. plan is to make a glass fibre back tray to hold the unit. run all power cables through the back of the centre console.
  5. cheers for the link. i'm kinda thinking it might work, but worst case senario i run it like a standard sat nav not through the car audio. i have plans on how to fit it oem style in the cubby hole. and using the standard lift lid instead of the push back one. just gives that bigger screen compared to things like tom tom, garmin etc. don't mind being the first, but only when i know what i'm doing. ICE is a whole new ball game for me. suppose i'll just have to learn as i do it.
  6. its a beautiful Zed in general. the kind of look i like, tweaked, but not over stated
  7. am loving that spoiler and the black door handles; where did you get the handles from?
  8. but are they as good as the haltech unit?
  9. ahhh intruder only kidding, welcome along, am i right in thinking your the lady linked with the tints.
  10. looks like good gains, shame its such an expensive mod to complete.
  11. just looking at the wiring diagram, and the pic of the back of the head unit trying to work out how it goes together, they say its compatible with pretty much every headunit, but i've never seen a heasdunit with that many plug in sections? let alone the bose unit i was wondering if it was possible to hard wire it into the original audio loom. as all the speaker parts are labelled in the diagram i like the sound of the kit thats up for sale, but its more than i want. i'd rather do a carputer, or nurrishes piece of kit. i prefer a more oem look.
  12. i'd do the exhaust, but look at the turbo xs one. i think it might float your boat
  13. anyone with ice experience able to help on this one??? i don't want to spend £400 and it not to work, just needed a little reassurance from someone who knows more than me
  14. think i need to sign up for one or two of these. specifically the one for being a good shopping companion. cos at the moment i'm like a petulant child. i hate shopping.
  15. i use bp ultimate normally. but thats only 97 ron. didn't know they did a 102 ron, never seen it at the pump
  16. i got an 06 with 13500 on the clock gt spec for £14900 about 1 month ago, if that gives you a guide on price. you can tend to find 350's to match your price, but your problem will be what others are willing to pay for yours. i ended up trading in my 07 civic type s gt Diesel for £10,000 and a mk3 mr2 roadster for £5000 in order to buy my 350. and considering that i only bought the civic 12 months ago for 14500 you can see how much prices have dropped.
  17. Im exactly the same, I always check on the motorway whether there is a volvo behind me or not and adjust my speed accordingly I do exactly the same, always suspicious of Volvo's, I mean, who would actually buy a Volvo out of choice??? my father in law is thinking about it
  18. when i got points on my licenece 5 years ago in wales, that was an unmarked volvo. i'm paranoid round volvo's now. if i see one i always look to see whos driving when i pass
  19. coventry were running some old civic type r's. don't think they have them tuned. so would be stock setup. never seen a bad boy rozzer with 5" tail pipes and neon lights under the car
  20. i never buy cars new off the forcourt, you might as well give a tramp £5000 as you drive off the forcourt. i'd rather someone else take the hit, and i'll buy it second hand for less. newest i've ever gone is an ex demo car. 1 year old. the 370 could be my next car, but i'm not planning on changing for a while. (although every car so far i normally get bored with after 1 year, changed by 18 months, am hoping this won't happen with the Zed as it ticks all the boxes) also never bought same brand twice. so who knows what i might get next? but that o-60 time is nice, wonder if their is much improvement in the amount of tourque? as 0-60 is not the best thing to evaluate a car on.
  21. can't deny the quality of the car. just not my thing.
  22. Or rather a country where the only officially imported Skylines were GTRs... Pah... MR2 Turbo's were never imported. They are well known, however. As I said, an ill-educated populace. They probably don't know that the Vaux monaro is a Holden, and is sold in the US as a Pontiac GTO. I bet they don't know shedloads of stuff, but ho hum... i class myself as a petrol head. but like said above the skyline is only imported in GTR form, we have very few that aren't GTR. and for me like the evo's and scoobies the skyline is just an uprated saloon car to me. i recognise and respect the performance figures, and the ability, but they do nothing for me. strip away all the bumpers and turbos, and all your left with is a glorified hyundai family car. (styling wise). its the old horses for courses. there are cars that i like that others will think are terrible, and vice versa.

    Almost Finished

looking good in there. any plans for more carbon fibre in there. really like the black plenum as well
  24. i hated doing dips and pullups. i'm a prop by nature, so being fast is not too much an issue, just running through people thast counts. which means i'm heavy. people take the mick that i do less reps than them, but what they forget is that i'm shifting an extra 3-4 stone than them. which means i'm happy with the 50 pressups i can do in one go. (just)
