  1. there are 2 finishes, matte and gloss, matte is straight out of the can, gloss requires a "glossifier" over the top. don;t use normal clear coat. there are some places that seem to do the gloss in with the paint so only need 1 can.
  2. theres about 8 near me see them daily, more common than BMW's down here.
  3. masking tape will work, but get the frog tape as it gives a better edge. masking film is similiar, it just has the advantage that its big enough and comes on a backing so that you can put it through a vinyl cutter, and produce stickable templates and stencils.
  4. vinyl will cope with heat, its used for the decals on brake calipers. but the issue maybe on the really stretched edges that might lift. you can get masking film and use it to cut a vinyl spray template to aid with complex designs.
  5. i think you need to specifiy if you mean hydrographic dipping or plastidipping?
  6. practice it first, just mark out a sun beam shape on a piece of card and see if you can do it. you may get away with it,
  7. Its also gained 24 bhp from the paint job

  13. its like the GTR of the german world
  14. To fade from solid to lighter red on the sun beams you'll need to airbrush it won't be achievable with rattle cans.
  15. Carefully and with an assortment of jacks, and pulleys Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  16. Zeds not a bad car, has lots of good aspects I just lost the thrill of driving it very quickly. The s2k was more rewarding to drive. But the zed was a better cruiser when I had a passenger. S2k did better mpg but not massive. Zed was better on insurance. Swings and roundabouts.
  17. Having owned both I found the s2000 was the better car, but that's what suited me. Everyone is different. You'll find most on here will disagree with me. And you'll also have all the people who've never owned an s2000 tell you its crap or a girls car. Drive both and see what suits you best. The zed is good but its heavy 300bhp sounds good but when you drive one it doesn't feel like 300bhp. Horses for courses and all that.
  18. Your too old too I work with kids it keeps me young
  19. They should hand their licence over when they get the bus pass.
  20. Bmw make cool cars I'd have an m6 please, or an old 8 series with a v12, or an old 7 series with either the v8s or the v12. M3 is a superb drive. And I'm sorry I can't take car advice from anyone who's owned a Hyundai.
  21. I could commute to work on that. How much?
  22. Best paints are from paints4u.co.uk
  23. FI cars in general are so much easier to tune. just changing the lower pulley on my supercharger is a 40bhp gain for a part that costs £100 thats £2.50 per 1 BHP gained an NA zed remap is what... £300 and maybe see's maybe 20 bhp gain max so a cost of £15 per 1 BHP gained its alot easier to get more bang for your buck with a factory made FI car, especially as lots are de tuned to meet different regs, so its easy to retune once bought
  24. the jag is low maintanence as well well that model is the older x100 is a regualr spanner job until you've rebuilt it.
