  1. oooo err missus, what colour was your car, and maybe you'll need to find a roadster owner in the same colour who wants the spoiler.
  2. i don't think i'll make it this year, would rather do other things, sorry people
  3. altering parts on an insurance job is possible, but it depends on who is doing the work, you'll need to speak to them and expalin what you'd like to do, hopefully they should tell you what the parts cost for the original, and you pay the difference, some might ask you to get them and they refund you what the insurer would have paid out. and some will refuse, and only do what the insurers asked. as for parts, yes there are indicator Zed badges, you'd need to flush the original zed badge indents. if your at it you might as well replace the wings with the FRP ones with the vents built ito them as well, check ebay think there is a set on there, about £140. the "indicators" in the bumper are actually reflectors, i think envy do the clear ones for about £80, i might be over priced on that but you'll need to check. front bumper, is down to personal choice, i'm about to fit the nismo N1 style bumper, but you have a whole choice out there.
  4. with the envy website, just click on the maximise button top right hand coner of the box to enlarge the frame

+100000000 cheap tyres turn performance cars into ditch finding missles
  6. was trying to avoid buying another set, just don't have the spare cash to sit on them till they sell. might have someone else to borrow off, but their wheels are currently somewhere else.
  7. just got to sort out a frickin refurb first before i can fit all 4 of mine.
  8. richbrook do some good antitheft ones, which only come off with a special key (not an allen key) spins on the spot without the key. my personal view, if you want to commit a crime you leave your rights at the door. if you get caught burgling and someone kicks the crap out of you, well its your own bloody fault. you know why places like B&Q have signs on the high barbwire fences that say "danger serious may occur if you climb this fence" or " danger barbwire" etc. because thieves have injured themselves on them and then sued the comapny for injuries. and its not the EU, although i'd rather be out of it, its our bloody beaurcratic over zelest paper pushers who take everything the EU says to the letter and then some. its people making paper pushing jobs for the sake of it. get rid of half the civil servants and quangos, and consultants and you'd be on your way to saving serious capital and actually letting docotrs, teachers and coppers to get on with waht they do best.

they don't show up on here http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/ which either means they are uber new, or uber cheap, or both. personally i'd go the tried and tested route falken 452's toyo T1r Vredestein ultrac sessantas Michelin pilot sport 2's bridgstone re050's they are the most regualrly mentioned brands, and most used on here.
  10. good idea to keep the roof black, my thought would be to tint the rear window black so that the roof colour then flows down between the carbon. as well as the othe suggestions made. good effort nurrish, looks tres bon
  11. as far as i'm aware, some like chris knotts won't insure you until you've been insured on equal cars for a year. so if you jump from 2 litre to 3.5 litres they want some one else to insure you for your first year, and if you don't have a claim then they will give you a quote and a good one at that. i agree with alot of what arkwright said, but it has nowt to do now i suppose with the value of the car, and your right they are affordable to buy, but i would say that yes you can buy one for less than a punto, but it probably costs 2 to 3 times as much to run. i'm not trying to put him off, and if his heart is set on it, then go for it. i was just saying that there are equal alternatives that offer a driver focussed car, but won't eat out half of his paycheck (i'm making a guess, for all i know you probably earn more than me ) and if he wants any advice if he does go for it, i'm more than happy to help out where i can, any memeber who joins on here as long as they aren't a muppet is a friend of mine, and i'll always try and help a friend.
  12. i'm in east anglia, and we do several meets if you'd like to come along, check the meet section to get your name down, also there are quite a few of us around down here, if you want someone to come and have a look at one with you you can always ask. i might be able to help depending on when and where it is etc, but there are others in the north of the region which might be closer to help.
  13. I'm. In the process of getting quotes to do mine on my blade silver. But I'm doing mine time attack style, so satin black with a red lip. Will get pics up once it's done.

  18. because nissan couldn't find a nipple in a b00bfest if there life depended on it.
  19. interesting, hadn't thought about tyre pressure, when i did my track day i set my stones to 40 psi all round, and that worked well, but it was a harder ride, will have to see what these are like when i get them fitted
  20. my first was a rover 214, cant really call it a performace car, but it got me from A to B ( i played with it, and it was a laugh to drive) - then 306 gti6 (awesome car, would p1$$ on a lot of cars, was a bit of a stealth car weighed nothing, had a cracking 6speed box(one of the first cars to have one)) - mr2 roadster (played around with that, great car, superb handling, and bloody quick for what it was) i know several who have turbo'ed them or even done a V6 conversion, (turbo for £2500, V6 conversion for £4500, all for a car that you can now buy for £4000) - had to go diesel for a bit and had the 2.2 new style civic type S gt (was a type R with a diesel engine same setup etc, and loads of torque) possibles to look at: - mx5 (i know its a bit girly but drive one, and you'll be impressed, and the turbo or supercharger conversion that you can get is unbeliavable) - clio cup 182 (insane track car, would shame alot of other bigger cars) - bmw mini cooper S (go for the slightly older version with the supercharger not the turbo, cracking fun to drive handles like its on rails) - alfa GTV (they did a V6 still not a cheap car to insure, but cheap to buy, and the interiors are stunning, the engine especially the V6 sings) - MR2 roadster (so easy to tune, with some fairly cheap chassis mods as well you can start pushing elise handling performance territory, plus you can drop the top,) what most have in common is they are light, look at the power to weights and you can easily get a drivers car. i've owned one on that list and driven the others, and all have brought a regualr smile to my face. the MR2 in particular had me regularly beaming from ear to ear. i'm sure others could add to it, i've run short of ideas at such short notice, but if you want me to i can add to it or i can just shut up and you can buy a zed
  21. miffed is probably the wrong word to use, a bit strong in its term, i suppose when i was twenty i didn't have a lot of cash, and i've worked hard Thats because you went to Uni? being a teacher I assume/hope you did I've been working since i was 16, which is how I can afford the stuff I buy & I would guess that a few of the other younger members are the same true, i was at uni, had 2 jobs as well to help pay for the alchol but i still remember seeing other students with big powerful cars, and they never worked either i was born into the wrong family obviously like i said before if pees can afford it, its their money and can spend it on what they like; remember i'm not your dad
