  1. i have the same products i wash my car once a month and alternate the supernatural wax and the red mist each month. mine still beads every month right up to the clean. if applying red mist ontop of SN wax leave it a couple of days other wise it takes the wax off. you need to leave the wax to harden for a a couple of days. if your a more fastidious washer you could wax once a month and red mist fortnightly i also lime and prime after every wash but i use the lime and prime light. and i also clay the car twice a year to strip back the wax and any contaminants in the paint.
  2. thanks guys will try and get fitted pictures up over the weekend
  3. used aero's on a previous car can't say i was that impressed, but that maybe because they were ebay ones. currently use PIAA wipers with Rainex'd screen and the performance is stunning, not seen anything come close. once the rainex runs out i'm swapping to a full PIAA setup thats wipers Screen wash additive and their screen cleaner which does the same as rainex. just with rainex and PIAA blades i hardly ever touch my wipers. anything over 40 mph and the water just beads off, most times i don't even bother using the wipers as there is no need, i only really use them when doing under 40 mph. length of use had mine for just over a year and the drivers side needs replacing, but you can get refill blades so you don't have to fork out for a whole new wiper and just replace the rubber. the PIAA wiper arm still looks pristine. expensive; yes, but worth the investment
  4. i used to use the megs gold wax with 100% carnuba wax in. it has a great finish but since swapping to dodo juice supernatural wax (hard wax) i've noticed big difference. its far easier to apply than the megs stuff and takes alot less effort to use. lasts longer than the megs stuff. i still use the megs NXT wash which is wax friendly i wax every other month and use dodo juice red mist quick detailer in between waxes.
  5. i like that alot
  6. its the design of this one, if you mount ontop it has huge gaps. even on a standard front bumper. it would flap around and vibrate

  13. if you'd like a set i can do some for you but i think its a case of forming an orderly queue. you'd need to paint first, then you need to allow time for the paint to harden between coats and before applying vinyl. so you'd need to be without door handles for about 3 days. if you do it properly. why does it need to be painted first? the handles are bright silver the reason i painted it black first is so that you can't see inside the handle. the vinyl covers most areas but if you dodn't paint the handle the inside bit would become very noticeable against the black.
  14. i just think of pretty women and use my man jack to hold it up means i have 2 hands free to do the oil change proper hard i am have to be cos if i get fat girl thoughts slip in to my head, i get squashed by the car
  15. rofl don't hold back there mate
  16. just saw an advert for direct line insurance one of its selling points on the advert was the fact that it has vandalism cover that doesn't affect your no claims bonus etc. just seems to show that this kind of stuff is obviously on the rise as insurers seem to use it as a selling point
  17. I think the load on you would be 55% of the total kerb weight .... or thereabouts ..... so a lot less than what he said ... you would still be a bit sore though if the trolley jack failed !!! attak your so anally retentive, without plucking hairs on this one, you still have a full weight car falling on you, but admittedly some of that would be taken up on the suspension. the car sits very low and there is a lot of travel in the suspension when you jack it up. i wouldn't want to be under there id it failed.
  18. nixy why you using attak's address

  20. do you not need a trolley jack to get the axle stands under? if you use the one with the car you have to use the jack point for the jack and the stand, so it aint never going to happen. if you use a troley jack you can lift it from the centre of each axle (from in ians picture) then pop the axle stands under the jacking points. i would probably do it with just the trolley jack, but i've always been brought up to do a job properly and you shouldn't trust your life on a trolley jack and should axle stand it at the same time. its not fun having 1645 kgs of car falling on you
  21. this was my original attempts viewtopic.php?f=26&t=33450&hilit=di+noc+carbon+experiment i ended up taking it off and taking it to a pro to do. flat surfaces are quiet easy and so are minor curves but but the wing mirrors were a pig to do and i didn't even try doing the main body of the door handle. you can buy the vinyl off ebay, or othere online merchants.
  22. we used to be a little naughty when me and my mates were in our late teens and drinking, but never vandalistic. the odd trolley ride. but we'd never nick the trolley only use one that had been found in the street. people just seem even worse these days.
  23. need to sit down and work out prices. hoping to fit mine at the weekend. will try and get a set sprayed up next week and then get them to the wrappers.
  24. forgive my stupidity, is that a dump valve? looks like a very nice piece of kit
