I wouldnt normally look on his site as i've got nothing driving me there, but posting links here is almost like an RSS feed, so i get to see something i otherwise wouldnt. sorry guys thats just my version of subtlety over the shameless plugging i never was any good at subtle had just noticed them more and more on the forum when i had been browsing, maybe if you posted more on other threads etc it might not seem like these are your only posts. if your going the custom build jenvey route and your mate knows what he's doing then you'll save a lot. have a search on here for ITB's might have to use the full term not the abbreviated version. was osme talk about it a while back as i looked into it.

do you post these on the site because they are interesting or because you get paid by the advertisers on your site the more visits you get?

think some of the yanks have dabbled with ITB's very difficult on the zed as its drive by wire. and very expensive. not very straight forward either

check out the varston or rare rims links on the site, fairly sure that these are the rare rim gtr wheel. but varston do something similiar.

actually i think it needs to be satin black as thats what the grille is

both are xenon, but the post 06 is bi-xenon, both use a HID type bulb as both require a ballast to run them.

306 is a good little car, i had the 306 GTi6 and it was an awesome beast, the diesel isn't a bad motor and will get you some good MPG.

i've got an 02 model so pre face lift but the lights are still good, but looks to be a single light unit, so my guess is its bi xenon as well my zed was a pre facelift as well so had the old setup, i tried swapping the bulbs out to a higher k rating, think it was 6500k made the light alot more white (had the faintest of a blue tinge to it) but i never found the light dispersion on the zed brilliant, they worked; but i always noticed when travellign next to someone in the dark on a dual carriage way that their light pattern would go further that mine. always wished i had the facelift bixenons on my zed, they did look so much nicer as well. thanks everyone for the help, its answered alot of questions and put the terminology right in my head

I take it your car has normal bulbs and you want a HID kit? no mine has projectors, just been really impressed with the improvement over my old car, and was wondering partly why, i knew what they were, but then it got me thinking about what all the different terms meant, i'm a bit more clued up now. also come across some new terms like bi xenon etc. my understanding so far is that the facelift lights use 1 bulb and projector unit per side of the car, but have a shade/shutter that drops out of the way to give full beam which is apparently bi-xenon. the pre facelifts don't have a moveable shutter so in order to give you high beam they have the dipped and high beam as 2 different lights with 2 different bulbs per side. the HID part is the bulb they come in differnt shades from a very blue light to a very white light depending on the k value of the bulb. thats what i've learnt so far anyway.

This question has arisen partly to do with my change in car and hence the change in headlights, but one i think is relevant for Zed owners as the headlights change between pre and post 06 350Z's what is the difference between HID lights and Projector lights; are they the same thing? i think its a quesiton lots of people wonder but never ask for fear of feeling silly; as i have no fear of my stupidity, i thought i'd ask. the question was also raised when i put headlight converters on for going to france, the instructions specifically pointed out that you fitted the stickers differently depending on if your car had HID's or projector lights. so the questions: Whats the differnece between HID's and projecotors? Are they the same thing? are projectors better?

not had time to clean it, thats 2000 miles of dirt on it, blame the wet weather not had an open spot to sort it with out it pi$$ing down

don't worry its level, i checked it with a tape measure. and a spirit level must be my photography skills. also here is the intake as well Along with the exhaust i also managed to fit my comptech CAI, really nice piece of kit, lots of bits to it, but the instructions once read a few times weren't too bad to understand and work out. put it all back together and the engine seems fine. (i was worried i'd plug it all back together wrong when i took all the Vac lines off. also repainted the lettering properly this time had to move the horn box and the air valve, have relocated them to the chassis next job is to powder coat the cam cover as mine is very dirty and flaking in one corner. if i try and clean it, the paint will probably come off.

well here a quick video of mine fitted, i've done a brief comparison against stock there is a slight rattle at 5500-6500 which i'm fairly certain is the cat on its way out, so i shall be swapping it out with a hi flow or a de cat in the near future, and then i'll put up a new vid.

yep it was the one thing missing from the Stook, and that was the noise, but it was the same with the MR2, just wanted a little pick me up to add to the theatre of driving. CAI was all to do with correcting a bogging down issue, and its done just that
