  1. without sounding rude, the sound of the car doesn't seem to match the speed of the drive.
  2. it could have been me, then you would have been sorry
  3. there is a a different drving style in london, my wife is form there and she and her father both drive completely differently and act differently when in london. it seems very much a kill or be killed mentality, and the language as well i still drive like im in the suburbs when in london, leave gaps etc, and yes some people cut in etc, but i've found if you stress about it, the urge to get out and take the breaking bar from the boot and imbed it in someones head would be too great. even still when i try to keep calm i still find my blood starts to boil after to long in london. i could never live in london, i like the fact i can be doing 70 mph with in 3 minutes of leaving my house.
  4. i've got bored of discussing it, i'm quiet happy to leave people to work it out themselves.
  5. boot polish works on leather shoes, just use the same process, brush on and then polish off. i am going to be trying out the gliptone scuff master stuff next month, so will post up about it then, so if shoe polish doesnt work, then this could br the next step.
  6. they are similiar, and they are one of my favourite wheels for the 350Z check out these pictures of them
  7. you're right dave, that won't buff out, you'll need some T-cut and turtle wax to bring that back up to scratch sorry to see it though, hope the repairs are quick
  8. if you look at some of the porsche 911 wheels these are very similiar but just a steroid version.
  9. i only know of 2 people in the UK that have them on 350Z's on this forum, so thats one hell of a stab in the dark when it comes to getting 2nd hand ones. you never know you might be lucky.
  10. the naval base is a high risk target? in comparison to your garage at home
  11. I'm not sure how long Abbey keep their copies of Jap performance but I'm sure I read this edition when I was there - I remember the article! it even refers to abbey in the bottom conclusion; just goes to show how long they've been doing this, and how well they are recognised within the nissan/performance car scene.
  12. rare rims will sell them to you
  13. i am going to be hopefully supplying the Apexi panel filter; they are an arse to track down but i have a few contacts and some prices due back soon, and they shouldn't be far off the prices we were looking at above for other filters. where exactly they fall into i'm unsure until i get all my quotes in. the reason for my choice; well i've always been a big apexi filter fan, i custom fitted one to my typhoon induction kit on the Zed and i used them on the MR2. and the reason i like them can be seen in this article here. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ its an old article but it goes to show how good apexi stuff is, excellent filtration as well as good BHP gains. i know its from a cone comparison, but the panel filters are made of the same stuff, and its a product i would fit in my car, without question.
  14. no they just tried to screw the middle and upper class, and being in the middle i get screwed either way, i suppose its nice to have a change of face when someone is fcuking you up the arse. to be honest although this particular group may seem more painful in their up hill gardening, it should make the whole experience shorter and we can all go back to taking it in the face like we used to
  15. nope i had a similiar issue with mine, except it made the hrn come on randomly and made the headlights not work. took me bloody ages to figure the cause. but it was easily repaired.
  16. You can also mig with stainless wire which dosn't rot out but the wire is expensive compared to normal mig wire thats good to know as i have a project in mind but only have a MiG at work; don't mind paying the extra for a one off job if i already have the tools
  17. there you go, someone with the full lnowledge
  18. i have made a decision on filter, just waiting on a supplier to contact me to confirm supply. as for testing i'll look at sending one down for testing once i have some in.
  19. i can MiG and Arc weld, and have the gear at work, but TiG is somewhat of a skilled process, you can MiG weld stainless but the weld will rot out after an extended period. see if there is a course at your local college, sign up and learn it properly. i'm sure as well with stainless welding you need breathing apparatus as stainless gives off nasty fumes? might be way off the mark though?
  20. I have q link to a story that also says insurers are clamping down on fraudulent policies. I.e. not declaring accidents and "fronting" where parents insurer as the main driver on their kids cars, and insurer the kid as a named driver. They are also clamping down on those that insurer there car at their parents address but live else where. University for example. They are using new systems that now check details across insurers to check details and also linking with the police. If you get caught for any of these it will void your insurance, and they can also prosecute for fraud. And if found guilty, you'll find it impossible to get any insurance in the future. This also includes claiming to park in a garage at night, they are sending investigators out. Ant if your house doesn't have one, they'll void the policy as well.
