  1. Item didn't sell so will be hanging on to the part... if anyone comes across this post and wants the part send me a PM and i'll get into, chances are i'll still have it! cheers ian
  2. I bought this part speculatively when i was having problems with my imported 350z; I couldn't find a garage that would entertain working on it as it was a Japanese model but had a suspicion that the BCM was water damaged (lights, wipers, immobiliser etc malfunctioning) so picked up this part. The part appears to be fully functional as rectified all of the issues i was having with the exception of disarming the immobiliser for which the exact replacement and codes to reprogramme were required. Not looking to make any money on the part, just to recoup some of the cash I layed out (which wasn't insignificant) - the car was off the road for around a month so by that point i was willing to try anything to get it working again. Opportunity for someone to get themselves a bargain (brand new the replacemetn I needed was £350 ex VAT) if they're having the same problem as i had. All the details are on the Ebay lot below: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350z-Body- ... 3f0b13aade As mentioned it comes with counterpart Key and a NATS radio antenna from around the key barrel. Any questions just let me know. Cheers Ian
  3. that's where the DVD player sat in mine...
  4. Wow thats an amazing job, £150 seems very reasonable when you see the result. how they wearing now? is it about 6 months since you had them done?

    Snow socks

Meant to add... i've a set of autosocks which are up for grabs if anyone in the Gateshead area wants them. They're pretty well worn but would do for an emergency and don't want anything for them... don't fit my new car.
  6. Will give the boot polish a go... i'd just assumed it would come off on clothes but if it does the trick any you've not had problems with it i guess i was wrong! cheers good tip. sorry don't have any photos of the car to hand - just recently bought it (as a replacement for my 350z unfortunately!) - wwould probably help! cheers Ian
  7. Ha, something tells me boot polish would be a cheaper option... not too hot on a white shirt though! thanks will take a look...
  8. Just posting this incase it can be of benefit to anyone - had a bit of an nightmare with the immobiliser on my 2004 Jap model when the body control module got water damaged and was struggling to find information to resolve the problem. When a new BCM was installed in my car it was necessary to reprogramme the keys inorder to disarm the immobiliser; to do this the garage I used contacted Nissan Technical in Japan who advised that the same code as a 2004 Nissan Navara would work, which it did. Apparently this is a standard reset code if the one specific to the vehicle is not available. As I say just posting to try an save anyone from the hassle I had - car was immobilised for 3 weeks until I could find a garage who would invest the time and effort in fixing the problem. Ian
  9. Any suggestions of good products for reviving my leather seats - they're not badly damaged just a little scuffed on the surface? thanks Ian

you can never be too careful in north east england you know...
  11. nice looking car mate... seems in very good condition
  12. Looked to do something similar with mine a while back and was quote £100 so £78 seems reasonable...
  13. The Mrs is expecting and the 350z paid the price unfortunately... apparently no iso-fix points or something... seemed like she was being unreasonable to me! As practical as the the Seat Leon is, it's not quite the same! happy motoring with the Skoda... heard good things about them to be fair..
  14. Used Admiral and Elephant (part of the same group... but generally one will quote lower than the other i found... usually the one you're not currently insured with but if you push them they'll match or beat the price) only had good experiences with both.
