  1. they all speak like this near me
  2. toyota dropped all their performance in a short time, they dropped the supra, then the MR2 and then the Celica, which left them with the....ummm....urrr....iygo? no specific toyota sports car for ages, but there is talk of a new MR2 in the pipe line.
  3. Unfortunately there are still those who can’t be bothered to do all that and continue to use the windy guns as they require less effort. i bolloxed my tyre fitter the other day for doing that, made him go back and torque them up.
  4. i have a navigon independent unit, and its awesome, never failed me and the maps are good too.
  5. i see my jag as the british supra equivilant. and makes a nice change form jap. the ft-86 looks good, but i'm more interested in what subaru do with it, as it is a joint project. also when they both bring hot versions out, could be very good.
  6. had about half the cars you mentioned in your original list; all great cars, but as said above alot of them lack the interior. i thought with the next car change that i was going to stay jap, but nothing is out there that i actually wanted. and i've ended up looking at the germans and the brits. as for owning an older car; my jag is 11 years old; yes the odd thing needs replacing, but parts are cheap. yes its not everyones taste, but i love it. possibly one of my best buys to date. and still has more kit in it that most new cars. cost about 80K when new and still out shines brand spanking new cars that cost more than what i paid for it. i love a project car, and the onyl 2 jap cars metioned i would want would be an RX7 or an NSX nothing else on that list that i haven't already had floats my boat. i think i've fallen out of love with most jap cars, maybe some time apart might re ignite a love affair. if not i'm off to see the germans or i'll stick with the brits, or if i'm feeling flush, i might go see the italians.
  7. hankooks are a good tyre dpends on which tyre you get same with all manufacturers. dixon from DMS tates hankooks very highly and uses them on track. Hankook Ventus V12 evo k110 is pretty good,

best bet are trying camskill blackcircles mytyres possible event and then work out who is cheapest, each one can be the cheapest but it depends on which tyre.
  9. never knew google had sucha thing?
  10. was going to say, boxing with out gloves is far safer. yes there might be more blood, but the blunt trauma caused is far less. i used to drink with an old boy who bare knuckle boxed. he was a machine and i think he was still boxing in traveller camps at the age of 60. hands like shovels.
  11. its fine and not a CAT D when they fixed it they would have said it was a write off.
  12. both papers are only good for wiping your arse on and even then they seem to be damaging
  13. R35LEE breaks Zeds for fun , he has tons of parts maybe even in the right colour
  14. i just used to use a screw driver when i was a kid
  15. I changed my mind at the last minute when ordering and spent £10 more and got a set of continental Double Fighter II they looked pretty and a brandi know with cars. also got the conti inner tubes. order came to about £38 for 2 tyres and 2 inner tubes from conti, which i thought was ok. cheapest tyres i've ever bought my new rear tyres for my car are £350 each
  16. i've gone for some schwalbe land cruiser tyres, just trying to sort out some inner tubes for them.
  17. i have finally got round to sorting tyres out for my old mountain bike, i want to start using it again, but it needs new tyres and tubes. i know car tyres very well, but bike tyres are all foreign to me. i'm looking for a semi slick tyre its mainly going to be used for road cycling with the occasional dabble in very gentle off road, like footpaths and forests etc with the wife. it currently has very nobbly off road tyres and i've found on the road they are hard work. i'm not a pro cycler, and my bike is an old mountain bike with steel frame and no suspension made by raeleigh, got it when i was about 15 years old and its still useable just needs a clean up. if i really get into it then i might look at a decent road bike. i'd like to know what brands are good tyres, and what to avoid, or even specific tyre reccomendations, bike wheel says i need 26 x 2.10 any help form our experienced pedal monkies would be greatly appreciated currently been looking at continental bike tyres as i know they make good car tyres. and browsing www.wiggle.co.uk
  18. whats wrong with just writing engineer, i only put teacher down, i don't add all the subjects i do or can teach, etc, the only time it would change is if i was a head teacher. i would still put plain teacher even if i was a HOD or SLT.
  19. zed won't be a classic, and if it did it has a long time to wait, yes its a nice car but not a future classic. cult car maybe, as for selling dave i reckon yours must be one of the last remaining garage queens, it will not have a nicer home in its life than the time with you. and sadly the price won't be a true reflection of its actual value due to general prices coming down. who ever buys it will get an almost new example of the car. but please strip it before sale, the exhaust alone will net you a tidy profit, as would the wheels,
