  1. Hi Guys, apologies if this is in the wrong section. Had my car for last 6 years, it's done 54000 miles so far. Seen alot of people over the years go on about oil issues on the revup motors, and I know that the GT4 was the first revup motor. Touch wood, I've never had any issues with oil consumption, but without any concrete article of the difference between the GT4 and the later revup models I have heard people say things like the Pistons on the GT4 were still de which prevents the oil issues, or even that the GT4 was just built better than the later revup models because they made so few of them. None of this could be true of course, but just wondered if anyone had any more information to go on?
  2. How did the revup turn out?
  3. Is it just the DE for now Mark?
  4. I've got the JDM option momo steering wheel , so pretty sure it won't fit. Good idea though.
  5. It's been said that the revup engines typically have oil issues, but I haven't in the time I've had it for. If you do decide to get a 350z just make sure it's been looked after regardless of it's spec, and you should be good.
  6. I've got the GT4 (revup) never had any problems in the 6 years I've had her. Just saying....
  7. I've got the motordyne mrev2 & 5/16 plenum for my 350z GT4, which I haven't had fitted yet. But hoping it'll make a difference to midrange torque as it's my daily and I don't track it.
  8. Just finished reading your story on the zed from start to finish. Amazing. 👏 👏 👏
  9. Finally getting all my relevant jobs done before getting it mapped. Paul West at TPW engineering (who used to be at TDI North) is not far from me and it looks like he's saying that in collaboration with Abbey you can now get ecutech for the 350z? Anyone know what the key differences are between this and an uprev?
  10. Wonder if it would help with torque figures on a dyno?
  11. Sounds like a decent piece of kit to be fair, is is it worth replacing the other pulleys whilst I'm in there?
  12. Probably a stupid question, but would the fluidampr pulley help with lightweight flywheel chatter?
  13. Cheers mate. 👍
  14. Are these suitable for road use Are these fine for road use mate, or just track? refurbing the arbs myself but was stuck between these and Hardrace bushings.
  15. Could be an issue with your MAF sensor or throttle body might need cleaning. I'm sure someone will be along soon with a definitive answer.
  16. Okay, 🐻 with me. Thought I could replace the stock anti roll bar with whiteline kit included drop links, just in terms of removing rusted oem parts. However after a quick chat with Tarmacsportz they've said it can't really ride at stock height should I change to whiteline drop links, so would have to run oem drop links with whiteline arb at least until I eventually plan on dropping the car height . I'm sure I've heard somewhere that aftermarket arbs will chew up stock droplinks though? Is this correct?
  17. Great set of tips you've got there 😉
  18. Lockwood & greenwood in Ashton under Lyne should be able to help mate.
  19. Good stuff mate, much appreciated. 👍
  20. Guessing the cat brace needs to stay on for cobra hfc's? Heard they'll crack with out it, Is that right? I know people who run art pipes don't need them, but i would imagine it's different with Hfc's?
  21. I'll find out what state this one is in and give you a bell Alex. 👍
  22. I'm also going to get whiteline arbs and droplink kit. Is there anything else I should possibly look at whilst the exhaust/cats are off? Slave cylinder etc?
  23. Hi mate, yeah I've got new rear kidney brackets on order, and getting rid of the board assembly, whilst the works being done. I'll have a look at the state of the subframe brace and go from there. Cheers for your help.
