  1. Any idea if I can still wax it or will it stop the ceramic coating sticking?
  2. Nice motor! Yeah, if I could afford it I'd get full paint correction and ceramic coating but I definitely can't at the moment. I'll give the autoglym stuff a go for now.
  3. Not heard of that, I'll have a gander 👍
  4. Much appreciated mate, I'll get on to it.
  5. Anyone used Autoglym rapid ceramic spray? If so, any reviews? My car is black and no matter how much I wax it, a couple of drives in our lovely winter weather and it looks like it's not been washed in 5 years.
  6. Don't think I'll get anything like the gains that they say, even with the 5/16 motordyne which I also have, but with the Map I'll hopefully get a bit more midrange torque.
  7. Hi mate, thanks for that. Getting mrev2 spacer fitted soon when I get remap so I'm sure they'll spot if there is oil where it shouldn't be. 👍
  8. Would make sense that the later revup is exactly the same engine as the GT4, just read some things over the years on the forums saying there were subtle differences. The main thing is I'm not burning oil which I'm obviously happy about. I know people tend to sort out the gallery gaskets on the HR's, wondering whether it's worth changing the valve/rocker cover just to be on the safe side? Or is it just a matter of if it's not broken don't fix it?
  9. That's interesting about the wheels.
  10. Yeah, the GT4 is the anniversary edition which is mine.
  11. Hi Guys, apologies if this is in the wrong section. Had my car for last 6 years, it's done 54000 miles so far. Seen alot of people over the years go on about oil issues on the revup motors, and I know that the GT4 was the first revup motor. Touch wood, I've never had any issues with oil consumption, but without any concrete article of the difference between the GT4 and the later revup models I have heard people say things like the Pistons on the GT4 were still de which prevents the oil issues, or even that the GT4 was just built better than the later revup models because they made so few of them. None of this could be true of course, but just wondered if anyone had any more information to go on?
  12. I've got the JDM option momo steering wheel , so pretty sure it won't fit. Good idea though.
  13. It's been said that the revup engines typically have oil issues, but I haven't in the time I've had it for. If you do decide to get a 350z just make sure it's been looked after regardless of it's spec, and you should be good.
  14. I've got the GT4 (revup) never had any problems in the 6 years I've had her. Just saying....
  15. I've got the motordyne mrev2 & 5/16 plenum for my 350z GT4, which I haven't had fitted yet. But hoping it'll make a difference to midrange torque as it's my daily and I don't track it.
  16. Just finished reading your story on the zed from start to finish. Amazing. 👏 👏 👏
  17. Finally getting all my relevant jobs done before getting it mapped. Paul West at TPW engineering (who used to be at TDI North) is not far from me and it looks like he's saying that in collaboration with Abbey you can now get ecutech for the 350z? Anyone know what the key differences are between this and an uprev?
  18. Wonder if it would help with torque figures on a dyno?
  19. Sounds like a decent piece of kit to be fair, is is it worth replacing the other pulleys whilst I'm in there?
  20. Probably a stupid question, but would the fluidampr pulley help with lightweight flywheel chatter?
