  1. Have you connected the blue remote switch wire to the hose amp harness?
  2. Looking good and very stealth engine bay! :-)
  3. Which version do you have? When I had an issue the Sky engineer swapped mine for the later version - not touch sensitive for the FF/RW etc - and it’s so much better than the old one.
  4. I have Q 2TB, mini box, and Sky Fibre BB. Trouble free and excellent performance. Occasional reboot of box required but that’s the same as the old Hd box.
  5. I’m waiting for more info on meets - believe there has been one or two at the Portsmouth Arms pub before - it’s less than 5 mins from my front door too
  6. A few photos of the car when it was dry enough to get a wash recently!

To start with, the floor mats were one thing letting the interior down, so they've been swapped for OEM items that fit and look so much better. I also noticed that the front of the car was missing a few trim pieces, so these were purchased direct from Nissan at a higher-than-expected price, but needed doing. (Hey, if you've got a nice car, may as well ensure it's all together without bits missing, right?) The interior took another few quid from my wallet (and stay tuned for February's update too, I opened a can of worms there!!) and as I wasn't a fan of a cold metal gear knob I decided to switch back to OEM. I actually managed to pick up a 370Z knob at a decent price and in great condition, so felt that was a step up too. Given that the car doesn't do many miles at all over the winter months, I decided to invest in a decent battery charger/conditioner. The CTek unit came highly recommended and I can say that so far I've been very impressed, especially as I managed to get one during a 20% discount offer on ebay. Another internal annoyance was the boot carpet - it was stained and didn't fit properly with the harness bar. So the use of a decent pair of scissors and some strong cleaner/dye and the carpet looks night-and-day better than before. I then noticed that the interior grab handle on the drivers side was pretty scratched, so rubbed it down and gave it a lick of paint too. Finally, the car had some brushed ali dash trim pieces fitted around the fans but these were peeling off - and as I wasn't a massive fan I decided to remove them, and cleaned up the dash with IPA. The final interior item for January was to purchase the Connect2 steering wheel integration cable. However, this then "encouraged" me to make yet more changes - read on to the Feb update to find out more! In terms of external modifications this month, I realised that the standard RPF1 centre caps were a bit naff and very expensive. As I plan to get the wheels refurbished in black in the near future, I took it upon myself to make some centre caps myself. This consisted of 4 x Honda 68mm caps, sanded & repainted before some custom-designed Enkei domed cap logos were fitted. I'm unsure of whether or not I'll fit these until the wheels have been done though. My car came with some carbon fibre B-pillar trims fitted, but one in particular was in a really bad shape. I polished and cleaned it up, but it had several cracks and given that I couldn't buy them individually, I decided to wrap with some 3M 1080 CF vinyl wrap. I actually prefer the look of the wrap and given that it is reversible at a later stage, it was £7 well spent. Selling my OEM cats that came with the car returned a few quid to the project budget too. Photos
  8. Thanks. I’ve got the January project post on the way soon, stay tuned for more updates
  9. Hi, appreciate that this is an old post, but having just started installing this same head unit today I have exactly the same problem. My old HU also had the same issue, and I have worked it out that the HU is powering the Bose amp - this then creates the “hum” or white noise I think you are referring to. I believe there are two solutions to this, both involving an additional switch. 1- insert a switch on the blue/white cable between the HU and amp power connection. This stops the amp from powering on and effectively turns off the speakers. 2 - insert a switch on the red power connection in the harness. This would completely power down the HU when not in use. Disadvantage is that the whole unit is off, but advantage here is that you can reboot the HU if it crashes without switching ignition off/on again. Personally I’m going for #1 above. If the HU crashes a lot then I may rethink the solution, or actually put both #1 and #2 in anyway. So long as the switches are mounted somewhere discrete I’ll be happy.
  10. Hey folks, ive currently got some RPF1s on my 350Z - with some small spacers and longer wheel studs (all by the previous owner) I also fancy getting the wheels refurbed in black. The wheel nuts currently fitted are Muteki open ended in neon blue, and these will need to be changed as the wrong colour and I believe they aren’t the strongest anyway (rumours of them stripping when used with a gun?) So, what are the options for other wheel nuts, in black? I’m concerned about the longer wheel studs but given the use of spacers etc I think there’s approx 20-25mm thread showing on the outside face of the wheels so maybe not a problem? Need to be Ok for an average tyre depot to use a gun when needed, without scratching the wheels to ****. cheers
  11. But then you have hassle with MOTs....?
  12. Hey guys, can anyone recommend a decent garage to MOT a 350Z TT in the hants/berks area? I’m not far from Horsham Developments but apparently they don’t do MOTs. If required, feel free to PM me some recommendations - Thanks!
  13. I have an INGZ lip spoiler, and have just installed the SGS struts for Nismo spoiler. It holds the boot up well and I highly rate them. Its a little stiff closing the boot but really no worries at all - rather that than too weak.
  14. If you could send me a pic it’d be good - and let me know what you want for it. Needs to be in excellent condition tho, cheers.
  15. Hey folks - Still looking for: Standard 350Z gearknob in good condition 26398-CD000 - bolt cap (for the rear light housing, on the top edge) Anyone got anything for sale?
  16. Post updated now, with a few photos of some minor jobs completed this month. To do list for next month is starting to take shape, and I'll post up the January log once we're in the new year. Looking forward to getting back out in the car again soon!
  17. Ah sweet, thanks. Do you also have the scuttle panel screw cover? There are two and they are rectangular in shape, just under the wiper arm. (I’m missing the passenger side one) cheers!
  18. Also have a set of std suspension. Located in Hampshire. Cheers
  19. Hey folks, Anyone got an OEM 350Z gearknob in good condition for sale? Thanks
