  1. Got my tickets sent out to me so hopefully everyone else has as well . Not sure if im being overly enthusiastic but since its a week to go should we maybe start figuring out convoys and such? Ill be hopping on the M1 at junction 10 Or potentially could take the A5 if thats preferable for others?
  2. Always the risk of being the first person to do it xD Although if you are the first person to get it right you are some kind of hero in that community Yeah I think it would be a pretty good one havent been to santa pod in years. Didnt own a car for uni and I dont think a 1.6 Astra would hold up well on a drag strip
  3. From what I remember he was having issues with it cutting fuel intermittently. Would nail the throttle and speed up, stutter, speed up, stutter. Think he sold it not too long after we left uni xD. Dont have my Rota for that bit yet but ill see if I can get the day free
  4. Thats fair enough xD One of my friends from uni her dad had a Legnum, think he was in the middle of tweaking its tune all the way through the year she was in the same house as me. I have been tempted by the RWYB days, even if you dont run yourself its a lot of variation.
  5. They are the Rays.......they just look black because of the dirt......I need a day off to wash her so badly xD. Ill have to get a good proper look at yours at some point Are you going to any events? I dont think I remember seeing you on the list for Trax?
  6. Ahh very nice it sounded bloody fantastic I will admit im running a little jealous at the moment xD. I did go to an MK meet the first month I had the car but my work has managed to give me a shift on every single one since its a pain in the backside. Im changing jobs soon so hopefully i can jump on for a few in future. As far as I know the cars completely stock, probably a good compliment to Nissan on their stock exhaust But i would like something a little louder and a little deeper, thats the goals xD. Also wheels....and probably a wing.....and some engine tinkering........probably would go all out if i had the money to be honest xD. Still though ive got to compliment you, all your bits together make for a really epic looking Zed and it sounds the part too
  7. That is on very pretty Z. Didnt even realise they had a white interior O.o
  8. Saw you go past me and couldnt help tucking in behind, orange with some nice black wheels, what i think is a charge speed rear and a nice spoiler. Had a plate ending in ZZZ and an exhaust which sounded fantastic. I tried to give you a little blast as i went off at Junction 10 but my stock exhaust sounds so quiet compared to yours xD.
  9. Just to let you know I think (could be wrong) The HR only came in the midnight blue the darker one and not the Azure blue which i think was just for the DE era cars. Could be wrong but im pretty sure thats the case. I spent ages looking for an Azure blue HR xD
  10. The few pointers I got given for looking was like Alex said make sure you have the double intakes for the HR engine. Check the rear arches for rust, if you can look under the car I would look at the W brace on the rear (Big chunk of metal that goes from left to right on the underside of the car shaped like a W gives the car rigidity) Since when I bought mine my one was made of rust and I had to have a new one fitted not too long into fitting it. Ive also heard people say listen for a metallic rattle when the car starts which i believe is related to the chain. Other than those all I can say is make sure its the car you want Take the extra bit of time and look around. Do you want one with the GT pack so its got the leather seats and the big Bose sub, some had satnav installed. The colour of the exterior and the colour of the interior together. I love my Zed to death but I really wish I had known about my W brace being buggered, I would have still bought the car I think would have just haggled the guy down a good bit more xD. But regardless of everything I hope you find the Zed thats right for you
  11. Yeah i will have to try and sneak a drive of a proper FD some day, although it might just make me want to buy one more xD
  12. If I could afford it I would xD Would be interesting to feel the difference between cylinder and rotary. Just worried that if it were say an RX-8 I might have a dimmer view since they seem to have a pretty bad rep.
  13. Well thanks for the infomation The 20B is the flame spitting sort of racing spec one right? If I do ever manage to nab myself an FD I will be sure to check its got the proper heart in it
  14. So all the engines were 13B they just had different sub text behind them. I guess ill have to come into a bunch of money if i want to own an FD at any point from the sounds of it xD.
  15. Yeah sorry thats what i meant sorry if i said it badly. I meant there was an RX-7 shell up for sale had everything barring the engine and transmission so i went looking and tried to find the RX-7 13B but I struggled to find any and they were all really expensive. There were loads of RX8 13B's but Ive heard they are worse in most regards than the RX-7 one, which confuses me a bit since you would assume progress but again I could be misinformed.
  16. Sorry typo I meant to say the 13B in an RX-8, those are floating around a lot. From what i understand (which could be wrong) its still called a 13B but some of the internals are different?
  17. This thread reminded me of a picture I saw once, a girl had decided to put rhinestones all over her steering wheel and dashboard. Surely that would pretty much turn the airbag into a great big frag grenade in a crash?
  18. Always had a soft spot for the FD, I would love to own one but its a bit beyond my budget xD. I saw a nice rolling shell and thought about trying to get it into working order but i dont have the space, not to mention trying to source a proper 13B would be a pain too many of the RX version ones :(. Guess ill stick to admiring from afar for now xD.
  19. Or click the mousewheel in and move your cursor up, farther up you go the faster it scrolls.
  20. Jeez feel sorry for the cars being that neglected. :/ Even on a pretty heavy drive ive never seen my temperature gauge move up much if any. Assuming its just sat inside a shop to be that hot is just insane O.o
  21. If its straight line speed or sort of racing from the lights probably an impreza or an evo. Get it remapped or spend some cash and shove a bigger turbo on it (just you know dont blow it up xD) Then the combination of AWD fairly lightweight and a huge helping of boost will probably take most things out there from a dig. But the comments above are right just take a test drive see if the car meshes well, yeah i know my 350 isnt the fastest and ive been beaten from the lights but I get a fantastic sensation from driving her fast. Just got to find the car that makes you tingle xD.
  22. The price will vary on a fair few things but some simple points would be the trim options and the engine. You get your standard car with cloth seats and the basic interior then you get the GT pack which comes with the leather seats and a big bose sub behind the drivers seat, some cars also have sat nav built into the dash. More of these it has the more likely its more expensive. The 350 comes with 3 engines you have the DE which is the first variant, the revup which is a slightly revised DE with a higher redline and some tweaks (also sometimes a bit of an oil consumption problem) and finally the HR engine which supposedly has 80% new components. Again the newer the engine the more expensive it will be. Theres also the modded ones out there, so some will be modded to the heavens and will be super pricey and less modded tend to run cheaper unless its a super low mileage super clean unmodded keeper. Then theres the imports which come under the fairlady badge. Sometimes run cheaper but will me in KMH unless converted and might run you a little bit of a premium depending on your insurer. The best thing you can do to be honest is go and have a look at some, check the rear arches for rust also the W brace (the structural bar under the back 1/3rd of the car) if you can manage to see it. Hopefully this helps
  23. You went blow for blow with the A45 AMG as well, after all the praises everyones been singing about that car the owner must have been sweating a bit that a 10+ year old RWD roadster matched his AWD super tech hatchback xD. Also obligatory im jealous of your car comment xD.
  24. Should be an interesting project either way Yeah it does tend to come down to peoples preference on noise for the JZ swaps from what ive seen anyway.
