  1. Around £60 per month, I do very little mileage, work round trip is only 4 miles (I'm lazy and love driving the Z) so I only do the occasional long run on the weekends, I leave all the heavy lifting to my other halves Seat Leon
  2. Good to see another local on the forum, I'm from Haverhill
  3. Just seen the trailer for Shadow of War, this looks awesome! Shadow of Mordor was a brilliant game, this one looks set to blow the pants off it.
  4. I'm actually looking forward to this series much more than I was for the last one. Rory and Chris Harris are who I'm looking forward to watching, I think it's because I have a genuine interest in their opinion, Matt LeBlanc I can take or leave, but I have nothing against him, and if he relaxes a bit and settles in he might not be so bad, but in the last series he was incredibly wooden. As for the GT, I've got to a point where I'm not bothered if I watch it or not, which is a real shame. They've decided to use old gags which were amusing the first time, but aged and unfunny the second time around. They have more money than sense for this series, which really shows, as they are just destroying things left right and centre. I mean I love seeing things blown up, but it feels like they've taken it a little further than it needed to go, and stopped talking about the cars in the process. I would imagine they have seen a hefty drop in their viewing figures from the first episodes, hopefully they take note. Oh and bin off the American, he's a w*nker.
  5. A chap I know swears by the stuff, and uses their range to clean his Escort RS Turbo, and to be fair it does look bloody tidy once it's been done, but I wondered if any of you folks have used their products? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone else find that strangely hilarious?
  7. Hope that works out for you mate, a friend of mind attempted the same thing, he spent weeks going into his local Tesco to see a woman who was working on the tills. Eventually he plucked up the courage to buy her a bunch of flowers and ask her on a date, only to find out she's a lesbian with a girlfriend who likes to dress up as a man on the weekends. I shlt thee nay.
  8. Serviced my Z at the weekend (recently purchased) and it wasn't until I went to inspect my belts that I realised whoever owned the car previously, removed the air con belt completely... I'm a little ashamed I didn't notice when I bought the car, though it did prompt me to go over everything else with a fine tooth comb, rest of the car is present and correct! I think it's going to cost me about 16 quid for 2 new belts, happy with that. I'm missing 1 stamp from the service book, I've written in the book myself for the P2 service I've just done, so the car is all caught up, I've no idea how any potential buyer in the far future will respond but I'll keep the receipts for everything with mileage written on, so at least they'll see I've used good quality components & fluids etc. I just struggle to justify what it costs to go to a mechanic or main dealer for a service, having always maintained my own vehicles I was stunned when I found out what it costs, to see people pay £300+ for a service just blew my mind, I'm clearly in the wrong business!
  9. Ok, so this is a little off topic (stick with me!) but we managed a couple of 14's on first time shakedown runs with this: http://imgur.com/a/oUdga The car is called Jurassic Parts II, Big block V8, no idea what sort of power she puts out as the whole thing has been custom built from the ground up. It belongs the father of a friend of mine, it's his retirement hobby, and I've been invited to be part of the pit crew, so I get to assist with anything mechanical I'm unfortunately too big to drive it which is a hell of a shame, but if any of you visit Santa Pod for some of the RWYB events this year you'll likely see us do a couple of passes, hopefully a bit quicker than 14 seconds! All going well, we hope the car will do 8 second runs, all depending on the size of the cojones of whoever might be driving
  10. Starting to narrow it down to being just my laptop/chrome on my laptop... Running with no extensions at all, cleared history, cache etc, still does it. If I go over to IE it works fine (minus the issue with typing). It's only this website as well, everything else works great. I'm confused!
  11. Just given that a go, unfortunately no change, but it's always good to have a tidy up
  12. Ugh, I've just had to refresh this page around 30 times to reply. I wish I knew what was causing it. I can get it to work in internet explorer first time, maybe I should split the difference and try firefox....
  13. Thanks, I've just done that which has been a slight improvement, the number of times I have to refresh has gone down significantly but it's still not 100%. Can only think it's due to our network being routed through Sweden (where my company is based) that might be causing the issue, as I don't have the same problem at home when using phone/ipad... Might take my laptop back with me today to see if it does it on my home network... I forgot how awful Internet Explorer is! Edit: I definitely think it's a problem my end, not the forum, just trying to see if anyone else has had this issue before!
  14. I seem to be having a right mare viewing the forum when using the chrome browser on my work laptop (I'm on my break, honest!) I find myself having to refresh the page multiple times before it loads, and even then sometimes it won't load anything with a hyperlink or images, or it will only display half of the posts when viewing a thread. I'm having to use IE at the moment *shudder* which for some reason, is only recording half of my keystrokes at the moment?! It's taken an age to type this! HELP!
  15. I would definitely say Destiny, I'm not a massive fan of co-op gaming but the few times I've really enjoyed it, I was playing that. Also, Goat Simulator. Because it's hilarious.
  16. Not sure why I didn't find that thread when I searched , but I'm tempted to get the carb cleaner out almost straight away and give it a go, some bloody good results on there!
  17. Much appreciated, some great info! I've thankfully got a can of carb cleaner, so that's one thing at least, I'll have to stock up on other bits.
  18. So under my bonnet is rather grubby. The car has spent a little too much time in London smog (previous owner), plus it doesn't look like anyone has ever done a good detail in the engine bay. I want to change that, as I love my Z and I want it to look tidy My car cleaning kit currently consists of: Karcher Snow Foam (poor) Buckets Sponges Wheel Brush Microfibre cloths Chamois Squeegie Autoglym polish Zymol Wheel coat I know anyone who appreciates detailing will probably wince at that pitiful list, but it was enough for my old Civic. I do know that it won't cut it for the Z. I've got a Karcher K2 (need to get one of those foam lances mentioned in the other detailing thread, bought a Karcher own brand one which is phenomenally useless) but would really appreciate any cleaning tips, and recommended products to use to get it shining under the bonnet. I suppose more than anything, I'm after a damn good cleaner to remove a few years worth of dirt and grime, that and I've never had the confidence to go to town on the engine with a pressure washer, it makes me slightly nervous..
  19. to the forum! Lovely tidy Z you have there.
  20. Thank you, still learning my way around, been a few years since I used a forum in earnest!
  21. Ah! I'm a bit shy of local car shops in my area, we only really have a Halfords which overcharges for most things, so this was a bargain for me lol, well if a mod sees this thread, feel free to delete at your leisure! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
