Looking at your first picture and some cod measuring on my lappy screen. The near side pipe looks like it sticks out further from the straight line of the back of the back box. Might be worth measuring it,if it's different they should exchange the back box for you.

If you are having them sprayed,get the centre caps done at the same time. If powder coating maybe spray them a contrasting colour.

It's with it being garaged and the dampness of winter. Also IIRC the parking brake is seperate to the rear disc and pads.
