  1. Maybe a fiat doblo is just the training vehicle for becoming an Audi driver 🙊😂
  2. I bought this oil to do an oil change in my track car diff. I noticed the same about not using in LSD. However when I enquired about it this is how it was explained to me. Because the LSD is a viscous type it has an oil/ fluid inside the actual diff centre for it to work, this part remains sealed and the fluid is not changed (you wouldn't be able to change it without stripping the diff down anyway) So what it's saying on the bottle is this oil is NOT for the viscous LSD diff centre. When you do an oil change like you are suggesting, you drain the diff case out and refill it, this IS the correct oil for that. So basically this oil is lubricating the crown wheel and pinion, bearings etc. The two lots of oil/ fluid never mix between the diff centre and what's in the diff casing, you only ever change what's in the casing and this is the correct oil for it. This is how I had it explained to me and how I understood what I was being told. If I've not got it 100% correct I apologise and will stand corrected. Although I thought it was worth a mention and hopefully it will help others on here who were confused as I was wether or not to use this oil.
  3. I'd be interested to know if this works, my other halfs diesel x-trail has done about 85k miles and I've been wondering if it's worth getting it terracleaned. I can't decide if it's just a gimmic. If somebody gives it a go first and reports back that would be great 😉
  4. Thanks Adrian, I'd thought that would be the case. Having moved house not too long ago, I'm still trying to find a 'friendly' local mot tester.
  5. I've got the chance of a set of motordyne ART test pipes/ resonated decats. Does anyone know if there is any chance these will pass an MOT? I'm assuming not? I don't want to get into swapping them every year for the test.
  6. Are they for sale? If so, how much? Cheers
  7. Thanks Adrian, I was just trying to find your number on the website to phone you. Saved me a call. Cheers.
  8. I'd initially planned on going for Berks, but had been steered away from them. Apparently they can give trouble with emissions at MOT time after a few years? Also reading up on them, there may be fitment issues with me having a stillen cat back? However I'd be interested to hear people's experiences and opinions on that.
  9. Thanks, I'll ring torqen in the morning and see what they have. On their website doesn't look like they have cobra's though. What would people recommend instead in a similar sort of price range? Around £500 ish. Also I'll try track down James junior and see what he has. Thanks guys.
  10. I'm looking for a pair of 370z HFC's in a hurry. The problem I've got, my car is booked in for Friday this week to have cobra HFC's fitted and a remap. I've been told by the guys doing the work the cats arn't going to be there for Friday, they've been let down by the supplier. The issue being I'm travelling from Yorkshire to London for this and have a hotel booked Thurs and fri night which can't be cancelled/ refunded. So basically I'm stuffed. So has any hero on here got a set of HFC's they are willing to part with that I can collect on my way down to London tomorrow (even if it involves a de-tour) I would prefer cobra's and prefer new ones, but at this stage I will consider anything. Or if anyone has any ideas where/ who might have a set in stock that advice would be hugely appreciated.

    Kit Cars

My rage buggy has a fire blade engine and bike sequential box. It uses a quaife reverse box, so you just pull a lever and the rotation of drive to the back diff is reversed. So you've got 6 forwards gears, pull the lever you've then got 6 gears backwards. So in theory 120mph in reverse 😬 I've not got the balls to test the theory though 😂
  12. Some stainless steels are magnetic still though but if not then there is also the other option of the "Silverline pick up tool" which Lexx suggested. I know some grades of stainless used in other applications are infact magnetic. But I'm sure the stainless used for bolts is non-magnetic. Or certainly the stainless bolts we use at work arn't magnetic. I've learnt that one the hard way when I've dropped them 😂
  13. So presumably it's only on 370z autos?
  14. I hope it's not a stainless bolt you've dropped if you're going to try fish it out with a magnet. ðŸ˜
  15. Why have you limited yourself to the Nismo 370z only?
  16. Sons of anarchy is well worth a watch
  17. The engine I was referring to was highish mileage and unknown history, so was a £1500 gamble. If your talking about an engine with only 4K miles then obviously it's going to be worth a lot more.
  18. Think the last one I saw for sale was about £1500. Obviously price is going to depend on age, mileage, condition etc though.
  19. I've just got the brakes to swap over for a set of brembos I've bought, then I'll be getting another track day booked. So it'll be out again within the next few weeks hopefully. I'll report back if I notice much difference with the diff.
  20. +1 for the cayenne. Previous to my 370z I had a cayenne turbo for a couple of years. 4.5l twin turbo, 450bhp, it was an awesome car. It was an 11 year old car when I sold it, yet in the 2 years of my ownership never gave a moments bother, it was 100% reliable. As mentioned above the coolant pipes can fracture, but I found that a lot of them had been upgraded from the original plastic to aluminium then there's no more worry. It also handled surprisingly well for the size and weight of it. If you put it in sport mode it firms right up and gives very little body roll, then if you drop the air suspension to its lowest setting you can chuck it round corners pretty well. But you've got the added bonus of 'normal' or 'comfort' settings if you don't want a rock hard ride all the time. I would happily buy another cayenne without any hesitation, oh and the turbo (or turbo S if you can find one) IS the model to go for.
  21. It was a straight forward swap. All the mounting points, drive shafts, prop shaft etc all bolt up exactly the same. The worst part was man-handling the thing into place, it's a heavy little unit when you're laid on your back on the driveway.
  22. I've got a 350gt jap import auto/tiptronic that I use as a track car. It had a standard open diff so after the last track day I decided it needed an LSD. I've just fitted an LSD from a manual 350z. To be honest I didn't know they were different ratios, looks like I'm in for a bit better acceleration then. I'll let you know what difference I notice.
  23. Sounds like you're having fun with it. What 4 maps did you get with the Ecutek? Also did you get launch control and flat foot shifting? I'll be getting mine done soon and can't wait 😀
  24. It has very rare brymbo brake upgrade. Worth every penny of £7500 😂

    370z boot!

I took the useless weight thing that's bolted to the inside of the boot lid out the other week. It releases first time now no problem.
