  1. Good idea, I'd be happy to stick £20 in. With the added bonus, if I don't win its going to charity anyway.
  2. I use auto finesse 'iron out'. It's fantastic stuff, would highly recommend trying it.

    some pictures

Not usually a fan of red cars, but that looks great. The wheels suit it spot on.
  4. Come to think of it, I'm sure 501 and W5W are just the same thing from what I read.
  5. On the packet for the ones I fitted in my 370z it says W2.1x9.5d on the top left. Then down the right says W5W. They fitted fine in mine.
  6. I got 2 buckets from wickes the other day for £1 each. They often have buckets in B&Q for £1 also, no need to pay over the odds for a bucket.
  7. Would you advise the Ecutek over Uprev? What's the difference in cost between the two? I'm looking at getting mine done within the next couple of months and don't know which to go for. Any advice would be appreciated.
  8. That looks tidy from those couple of pictures. As well as owning a 370z as my road car, I've got a skyline 350GT that I'm slowly, in my spare time, turning into a track car. You'll be glad you've got one with brembos, the standard brakes are completely useless.
  9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172151544887 They're the ones
  10. I've put osram led's in my sidelights on the 370. I've tried various led's in different cars and found osram to be the best quality. I've got the 6000k cool white ones, been in over a year with no trouble, they have a 3 year guarantee on them. They arnt the cheapest but they are well worth spending a few extra pounds on (think they were about £10 for a pair)
  11. It's an exact fit, fits pretty snug around the bumpers etc. When I went to nissan to order it they only asked if it was a coupe or convertible. There was no mention of a specific nismo one. If you're anywhere near North Yorkshire you're more than welcome to come over and try it on your car.
  12. How much are they? Do you have a picture of one actually fitted?
  13. I'm from just outside Thirsk, North Yorkshire. I see a couple of 350's in thirsk and ripon every now and again, not sure if either of them are on here though.
  14. I've got a genuine nissan outdoor cover that I bought about a year ago. I've only used it once for one night, so it's like new. It's for the 370z gt coupe, so don't know if there's a different one for the nismo to fit the bigger spoiler? I seem to remember it cost £313 direct from nissan, but I'd be willing to part with it for a decent offer seeing as it never gets used.
  15. I fitted EBC reds in my 370. They've been great for 'fast road' type use with the added benefit of a lot less brake dust on the wheels.
  16. I wouldn't say it's the 'best' car I've owned. But the one that gave the most fun and the one I most regret ever having sold was my little 205 gti 1.9. Not the fastest, most practical, most comfortable or most reliable but just loved it for the sheer thrill of blasting round the twisty B roads in the Yorkshire dales.
  17. To buy the equivalent age and mileage cayman you are looking in the region of 50% to 100% more £ than the 370. I would agree the cayman is a better car, but I would find it hard to believe it is twice as good. If money was no option then fine. But I still stick to my point that value for money the 370z wins. Ultimately what put me off the Porsche was a friend of mine had some huge repair bills on his cayman. I understand what you are saying that general servicing costs may not be too bad on them, but just the fact it's a Porsche there is potential for some astronomical repairs if you're unlucky.
  18. When I bought my 370z a year ago it was a choice between either the 370 or a cayman. When you look at cost/ value for money the 370 wins hands down I would say. I bought a 3 year old 370 with less than 18k miles. The same money would have got me a lot older and lot higher mileage cayman (with potentially more problems) and a lot higher servicing and running costs. The Porsche is a fantastic car, but you are paying a premium for the badge. I didn't go for the peugeot because its ugly as hell and a bit of a lemon. I didn't consider a TT because I'm not a hairdresser
  19. It certainly sounds like the expansion vessel could be the culprit. I would be amazed however if the expansion vessel hasn't been checked when looking for a problem with pressure loss. It's pretty basic and the first point to start once any visible leaks have been ruled out. If they check it and it does just need pumping back up, that is to be expected and does need doing from time to time. They will know straight away if the diaphragm has split (then it will require a new vessel) It could just be the schrader core needs replacing, but saying the full vessel must be replaced every time it needs pumping up is like saying you must buy a full new wheel and tyre every time your tyres need any air putting back in them. You wouldn't buy a full new wheel and tyre just because the valve was leaking would you?
  20. Are the intake hoses new or used?
  21. What year is your 370? Has it not got Bluetooth? Mine is just set so it connects to my phone as soon as the ignition is switched on without needing to plug into anywhere, just leave my phone in my pocket and plays all the music stored on my phone controlled through the car stereo. I have however got the connections you describe in the cubby box, I've never needed to plug into them though.
  22. How much was the ECUTEK compared to the UPREV if you don't mind me asking? I was considering having my 370z upreved later this year, but looks like ECUTEK could be the better option if its not massively dearer.

    care

So is there any difference between using BP ultimate or shell V power? I've always used ultimate in my 370z, as the nearest shell garage is a good 30mins drive away whereas BP is just down the road. If I started filling up at shell, the tank would be half empty by the time I got home again
  24. No problem. When you come to do it, if you need any more pointers, feel free to drop me a PM
