I heard shipping fees have gone up due to covid. Things will soon settle down when business losses start sending companies into the red. If its a large container like the one we have at my workplace it could fit two, three cars and some tires. Lucky for you its a local release just the value added taxes to worry about.

2003 was still in High School throwing controllers for not making the Gold cup on ps2 Gran Turismo. The decision to not bring it was justified tbh. There will be a few grey imports. Its just whether youre willing to pay that or get a German equivalent 440i M Sport 2020, used GTR or very low mileage Nismo or TTRS, S5, C43 etc. Only then people realize those used cars have gone up and are just as expensive.

Some of the road surfaces in London are so bad youd be praising ones in third world countries. I digress I'm guessing its going to be difficult to build a business case for the Silvia. If it does get approved I cannot see that not coming to Europe either. I think the designer hinted at wanting to bring it back. There may be a market for it. Since the GR86 wont be turbo. Maybe the Silvia will offer something different in that sense. Sad that theyve given up on EU. Mind you American buyers of Z are mostly younger guys with access to funds and large finance packages. They also get less penalties for being a young driver. That itself drives sales which is why USA were selling 150 370z per month pre pandemic. 3 times that of EU. Even if there was a possibility for EU. I dont think theyd sell more than 500-700 cars in a year compared to 4,000+ cars in Canada, Australia, Japan and US. On par with Supra but with addition of manual trim could be more based on cheaper pricing Obviously a couple of us will end up getting it at some point. It may not be soon but it only took me 8 years to buy 370z after seeing it in Las Vegas in 2010. Glad I was able to get the Nismo 2 times. We shall see how things play out in terms of pricing. Importation is NOT a big deal. Dealer support isnt needed either.

Watching TV ill have some of that, council tax, when you add it up its above 20-40%. Its good they reviewed the costs for road tax in 2017

Now just to raise a real business case to reboot the Silv..........

I cant speak for others but from what ive seen a lot of people who had the 370 are going to buy it in USA etc. I dont know about 350 heads as the attempted evolution to 370 was deemed not good enough. They are just trying to cater to different crowds because remember when the Germans do it its amazing and great and the journos love it. It may not be an upgrade but the car has to evolve... people wanted tech, theyve given you tech. Criticism was Z was barebones compared to the German equivalent..... I had the 370 nismo twice no issues with the steering but ive also had an electric steering system which works well too. Depends on how intrusive it is. Each to their own though. Its going to be a daily for majority of Americans, canadians and Australians who buy. So comfort safety etc will play a part. If ppl want barebones go get an older lotus etc According to some other forums there are a few people whove never owned a Nissan or Z looking to buy. So theyll attract new customers maybe to make up for the ones that dont want to get the new car. Can check the figures in 2023 that will tell us what numbers it did. 4-5k per annum puts it in line with the Supra. Speaking of USA ive lived there and seen a lot of 20 something daisies in cars like Z.
-
youre assuming 5ft Miss Daisy wouldn't be buying the car with her tiny biceps. Not everyone has the same comfort level when it comes to manouvering the car at slow speeds Also a lot of people ripped Nissan for dated tech... So they offered what the Germans offered. Lol.....
-
you cant have modes with hydraulic steering. Id prefer hydraulic though. Theyve only replicated what the Germans have done with comfort steering parking and slow city driving. Works well in my Honda. Never been an issue for me though.

https://carbuzz.com/news/nissan-doesnt-care-about-new-zs-0-60-time Apparently Nissan doesn't care about 0 - 60 or beating the Supra. Its not about that. Its going to be quicker than the Nismo 370 especially the Automatic. 15% increase puts it at 4.2 seconds not far of the E92 M3. I think that plenty fast for the road Both trims will feature launch control
-
Not sure but had a couple Japanese guys complaining on one of my videos about why they didnt make it 2.5 liter or something like that lol

F type doesnt have those 300zx lights, or front LEDs. Also the F type will be £14,000 more expensive the Performance trim at £50,000+ Remember there are also yellow Mustangs floating about, yellow TT etc But Yes its rarer. I just dont think it did the Zp any favours. Nissan are offering it as a colour option outside of the limited edition or maybe the shade might be different who knows

"always a catch"....

I dont see blue Jaguars around. Ill take blue or white. 2023 I reckon depreciation would be primarily minor by then. A couple grand off used models due to demand. High taxes could see a couple come up on Nissan used car network. I got some practice in with Nissan JP. Sites a bit twitchy. Real issue is the duties and vat

135 is more modern and ive heard a lot of noise about tuning capabilities. They tend to be loose at the rear. The 370 offers more enthusiast drive for those not chasing luxury or numbers. Also get the feel good factor when out and about and wanting to go for a drive Depends what youre after.

Check out this interview with the comms guy. They address criticisms

From what ive read its 10% import duty and 20% VAT. If you pay £28000 for a used one. Thats £2800 duty plus £5600 VAT and addition shipping costs. excluding IVA and MOT plus insurance. Youre looking at £38,000+ all in unless you wait and get it cheaper or go live in Japan for a year and own the car for 6 months to be exempt from VAT and import duty. similar rules apply with Ireland. You could wait for private dealer imports but im sure theyre paying similar figures. Meaning forecourt prices of £35-£45k anyway. An alternative is to get someone to buy it for you and gift it. Then HMRC will decide how much duties youll pay since its high value. Its more likely to be exempt from VAT if it was worth £3000 and under. If its £30,000 thats a different discussion. Basically be prepared to pay 30% fees importing from outside EU. Cars imported from within EU have greatly reduced duties if used.

Lol aside from the 2-3 emails sent to Nissan UK from me and another forum member, I dont think people were chomping at the bit for it. Not like the Americans and Nissan USA. EU still tells UK what to do while Germany and co are failing to meet emission standards by still operating a 170 mph autobahn. Im sure theyll keep failing post 2030 while the UK plays trendsetter. Apparently some green party over there wants to limit petrol and car parts sales. Not sure how true that is. The ICE car importation ban may be moved forward. So the longer you leave it...... EU does all this while amazon gets cut and China burns enough to cause a fog most days

Is the demand there for a convertible Z? Probably not. Better of focusing on the Nismo version. Which a lot of people are wondering about. It needs to have a straighter flatter line all the way to the back almost like a bmw 3 series e9x convertible
-
Apparently its still on the table. The 370 had better flowing line from front to back for Convertible. This looks like an Alfa and the top of the bonnet to the door all the way to the back doesn't really flow
-
I think its more 370 Nismo at the front for the GR86. I saw a pov review from TheTopher. The amount of chutter coming from the Engine, seems like its a media car thats been ragged
