I know one off designs are not cheap and can carry trademarks etc. Theres CAD design, 3D Printing, lots of trial and error with fitment. Not sure if anyone here has attempted or ever had a one off part made for them or designed one themselves. Besides what do you think of this one off custom front bumper made in Japan? Is it too much? or a nice design?

Did you buy a blue Automatic? Sold just now? 👀 -
Lol GR Yaris might be great around a winding track that takes 50 seconds to complete, and fun in its own way. I dont think the audience is the same at all. For me the GR86 with a Supercharger is a better bet. Just a shame journalist are claiming 21-26 mpg. I guess it may or may not be the reality. Youre right you could import a used performance model with 8,000 miles and 1 year old for say £28,000 retail as was £35,000 new with options according to US exchange rate. By the time you pay customs and VAT youre heading in the wrong direction of £37,000. Better off waiting a few more years and like you said its not special enough to warrant that kind of headache when there are so many other options from Toyota, Mazda, BMW etc...Plus upcoming models. Realistically youd need to wait 3-5 years and dealers in Japan or US would have to be struggling to shift them for any price within reason. The 350 and 370 still do the job. If you dropped a VR in an auto Z its practically that. The new Z is apparently carrying Z34 chassis number. The reviews may not rate the car as highly. Have to wait and see 8 months to go

Yeah I saw a nice Auto one for sale. Timing is a bit off, but I might prefer it over white when the time comes. -
Cool looking Zeds

Le Mans Blue? Looks fresh. -
80 litres seems a lot. Its actually bigger than the 370 tank. Despite no digital reading I actually prefer old school gauge. Reserve means 30 miles on a light foot. Ive seen needles fall below the last line and still give good mileage. I suppose digital readings are great but on the 370 you get dashes below 15 miles. The reserve light can activate at 40 miles. Considering you never completely grind to a halt or run out, theres reserve to take into account, plus gunk as illogikal stated. Im sure E10 being less potent may affect the readings lol. Okay thats far fetched but still.

You're right. Speaking of Nismos £38,000 is the dearest. Im sure someone will still pay it for the last of the Nismo with 2k miles. I remember when they were £30-£34k with less than 3k miles. If it did come to the UK I wonder what the prices would be on the 370 2017 onwards with decent mileage.
-
the nail in coffin is the price of a shipping container now. There will be imports just a thing of price and if the dealers know much about Z lol. Theres a dealer 6 miles from me that imported the Patrol V8 only 1 in UK apparently and a few American cars and trucks. So we ll see what happens in a few years. If I ever get the funds apparently he can source a car. I expect it to be at least £40k+ by the time it arrives and maybe up to 3 years after release. It could take more than 4 years to go down in price like the 2015-2016 370 Nismos did briefly. Once production ends it could create the same issue we have now with the 370z. Sudden bump in newer models..

Im sure they will do similar colours to last time. White, black, silver, red and I reckon there will be a possible blue and grey option this time. Depends on demand which I think will be high for USA....dont know about anywhere else.

Alpine/Lotus EV platform could be "shared"

The blue render shown above is subtle enough. Slightly different front bumper and rear with the addition of a lip spoiler and side skirts. For something that tries to represent Z of past its not over done. Yet it looks like an improvement over the plainer looking GT. The simplicity does remain from the previous gen. Its more plain and straight. The addition of those bits in the render are a nice touch to give a bit more style. Many will probably modify and add similar bits by week 2 of getting the car. Ill just look for the least annoying "I did this to the Z and you wont believe it" youtuber to check out next summer. Since it dawned on me unless a local importer brings it in a container may still cost over £10k 😂

It would be disappointing if there is no Nismo version just Nismo parts. Imagine Nismo bodykit sold alongside Nismo lowering springs and shocks. Nismo stitched Recaros, Nismo sway Bar, Nismo steering wheel, Nismo rims with Tyres all for a round figure because no Nismo version. Could be an opportunity for Nismo to make money on key aftermarket parts. Or should we say OEM plus plus. Might be better off than trying to produce and sell a Nismo Z at $55,000+ with little profit and much effort.
-
Lol but people have been comparing it to the Nismo if you go back in the thread.... Because for Nismo owners it might be toss up whether its worth 15k extra to trade up or not. Its not an unfair comparison as many have said Nismo is nothing more than a fancy bodykit. I dont know much about Ferrari editions. I do know some 458 hold higher value and those owners might have compared their special editions or low milers to the new car and realised their 458 are more sort after and pure. All subjective mate..... I hear what you're saying though.
-
Just going with the later iteration. Since it didnt change much. Some people in Japan are claiming theres no Nismo. There will be Nismo parts guaranteed as Nismo signed up as traders on one of the New Z forums.
-
Its aight....Still rate the 370Z Nismo higher in design terms. More quirky, can be mistaken for a new EV. This looks good but seems much safer and less risk design. I think its worth £30-£35k but the extra 10k to get it here bar the covid excuses is questionable

I saw a white one with 25k more miles for 22900. I think they'll come down slightly not by much though
-
No ones going to admit to everything tbh. Theyll only tell you what you need to know. Barely admitting common issues when asked.

Saw that video. Not a huge fan of yellow. Seems like the paint would fade over time in typical Nissan fashion. Still a full 9 months from release. Seems to be a bit of a craze right now interesting to see what the sales will be especially that the Sport has no LSD.
-
Lol all day on my CRZ save a lot but I stick to Bosch etc and the main brands though.
-
Ive run my Z on both. More on 99 than 95. I dont drive hard most of the time anyway. My mate has run his M3 E92 on 95 for 6 years. The only time the car has had Super Unleaded is when Ive driven it and replenished Petrol and tell him off for using 95. The main issues are the standard Rod bearing, Throttle Actuator, Gearbox issues. Yes the cars been driven somewhat hard on 95 but he's usual bought Shell or BP which might make a difference from supermarket fuel... Obviously thats a different car and maybe hes just lucky.

Didnt think the time had come for Lotus to go EV lol...

Comparing the stats with the new Z. Different price bracket but similar power. Emira uses Toyota 3.5L engine Supercharged with 309ft lbs/420nm and 395hp-400hp. Acceleration is rated at 4.3. 1405kg (dry) Z uses the Infiniti 3.0L Twin Turbo Engine producing 350ft lbs and 400hp. Acceleration is rated at 15% more (Nissan claim). Putting it at 4.3 for the manual and around 4 seconds for the Automatic. 1475kg (claimed) In real world terms its probably going to be 4.6 for the manual in ideal conditions and 4.0 for the auto Z. The Automatic Emira only comes with the less powerful 4 cylinder from AMG. There will be many factors that give Lotus an edge. Weight being the key. Meaning the Lotus is marginally faster in a straight line but could disappear on the track. Id like to see a comparison between the two. I think the weight and gearing could give the lotus a huge pull at higher speeds and bends. The 9 speed in the Z may actually be effective in that area of higher speed long straights along with the twin turbos. Although the Z carries more weight. That penalizes it in the pickup from low speeds despite more torque its carrying a lot more kg. Lotus being lighter maybe has some black magic. £75,999 is a different price range altogether and superior looks. The 4 cylinder is out next Autumn should be lighter along with the Base in 2023..4 cylinder will be lighter than the V6 Lotus im sure with 360hp its very close to the V6
