  1. Yeah the locals are critical of the car. In US delivery and manufacturing issues have led to cancellations. Markups and Stop Sale for both Auto and Manual hasnt helped. From 2025 they have stricter emissions and noise regulations coming in Japan. I wonder what Nissan will do then. Toyota are planning to stop production on certain cars like the 86. They are already talking of Hybrid and Turbo Charging 86 post 2025. Supra will bow out by 2025 with a special edition. Next generation Toyota will use Hybrid and more Tech. Nissan are in a dilemna as theyre not really interested in Hybrid. If they cant sell in US then theyll have to cease production sooner than we thought. Theyll give some time to get enough numbers. As they havent even met preorders yet. Of those 942 many still haven't received their car. US Dealers are point blank telling people this is our markup of 20k what you wanna do? Some are lucky and dont pay a mark up after calling 16 dealers across states. 2023 Nissan Z Production Lags Far Behind Due to Paint Problems: Report (thedrive.com)
  2. I also had a look at Z4 sales in EU and US combined. The new Z4 did in europe 11,000+ year 1 and lately 9,000+ these are good numbers in the current climate. Then again they do have 3 trims including 2 2.0 Liter Trims. Majority of sales comes from the lower trims as more affordable. In the US the Z4 only sells 2k cars per year. Where the Z could sell double or triple that if they can actually produce the thing fast enough to meet preorders. Also Alpine managed to sell 2700 A110 in Europe. 2000 cars might be ambitious for Z at £50,000. Probably not for rivals like Supra. Who sold 6800 cars in US and not more than 1000 in EU. Thats where the issue might be. EU has no issues buying convertible. So maybe Nissan should consider a convertible version for Europe lol. Only see it possible with a different EV model entirely.
  3. Interestingly the GR Corolla costs just as much to buy on certain sites. Japan has markup issues as well lol. I can understand why as the production is so slow anyone that wants one now or even this year will have to pay up. I dont think the Nismo production will be any faster. There will be a wait for sure. People that ordered in 2021 some are still just getting their cars!
  4. Closer look
  5. 86 only has 2 years shelf life. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/toyota-gr86-hybrid-possible-gr-yaris-triple
  6. Lol hard sell in any universe....im glad it exists, when its an electric the new gen can argue amongst themselves about sound choice and fake manual software updates
  7. Yeah let them, because all people would do is complain.....Nissan aren't losing sleep. They gave a new Z they didn't have to. Z doesn't make them money. Soccer moms do. Juke, Qashqai, X trail sell boat loads and bring in the moolah. Driver focused yet most complaints were, suspension being too harsh and not knowing what it wants to be...yet its rivals got a pass.., Nismo being a clout vehicle being slower than base car around the track, manual 1st to 2nd gear grind, CSC plate issues not to mention a host of other things. They tried to address those issues where possible.... People want a manual Nismo, how many of them are buying.... Im not gona lie if it was available in UK id be ordering one now in Auto Something else will have to do when shopping around. 🫢
  8. 60 grand Nismooo.
  9. They know the Z is a low investment project. Toyota didnt offer a manual at first and still sold 3000 cars year 1. Most Americans dont drive manual. So theyre not going to spend money on recalls for the nismo. Also when looking at performance and speed. Auto does a better job. If you wish to be enthused, engaged and spirited either get the sport/performance or get another car altogether. It is what it is. They may offer it later if the demand overrides the cost.

  11. HiPhi Z on sale in 2025
  12. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/usa/heres-why-new-nissan-z-nismo-doesnt-have-manual-gearbox 155 lbs heavier. No manual reason being people wanted it to be faster than base. One of the reasons
  13. What you dont realize is the Z is easily moddable...A remap puts it at near 500hp...add a downpipe/exhaust/injectors/fueling hardware its near 600hp...A 560hp Zed already ran 10.47 seconds and under 11 along with its cousin Q60... Sure we dog on USA but I respect the fact they push more boundaries than the UK can ever dream of....They never give up and are not scared to blow things up to reach goals...If it's about the dated gearbox...BMW Torque Converter Auto M2 already smoked its rivals without a DCT being 200kg heavier than previous Stock is 12.3 - Stock 0-60mph: 4.0s (as tested by Hagerty) AMS 0-60mph: 2.59s Stock 1/4: 12.3 @ 116 MPH (as tested by Hagerty) AMS 1/4: 10.47 @ 129 MPH Stock: 373 WHP / 373 TQ AMS: 525 WHP / 581 TQ Ill always love Zed and the opportunity its given to the masses to enter the performance car arena. Many have gone on to buy more sports cars (Lotus, Alfa etc) or GT and Supercars and the like. Nothing lasts forever and maybe the Z lineage has run its course. The Z is made primarily for USA....Sure they might resurrect Zed in a different format in 10 years time worldwide. At that point it will be tumbleweed judging by the response to non ICE vehicles on here. A different crowd and some youngsters will be the new fanboys. Telling their parents 350Z belongs in the Museum. The new coupe from Sunderland/Tochigi out performs it in every metric. Which its likely to.
  14. The manual had issues at launch hence the recalls and stop sale in US and Japan. So they didnt want to take the risk again with 384 ft lbs even though people have used the gearbox to over 400 ft lbs. For them to sort the manual out would cost money. Theyre only sorting the standard car via recalls. Auto is minimum money spent fixing manual gearbox. Also its competitive at the drag strip. Can always buy the body kit for the standard manual car lol. 20hp is nothing to lose sleep over. Seeing as Nissan didn't change the car from the concept I don't think they care anymore. Their focus now is Electric going forward. As far as they're concerned theyve appeased fan hype. New Z, New Nismo take it or leave it.
  15. Lol what happened. Missed the fun
  16. MG Delivered the MG4 for 26k 2nd most sold EV atm. Then they came with the 430HP X Power Version for 36K. Only thing to worry about is depreciation and build quality. The european models seem to be depreciating at an alarming rate. If China can sell their stuff here, the rivals will have to deliver more sub £40,000 cars. VED Taxation should force that as many people wont be in a hurry to pay £520 road tax.
  17. Huawei Avatar Self Drive
  18. Alibabba, MG Owners SAIC and another company. Those headlights though. Like the idea of a double dash and passenger display like in the Taycan
  19. Possibly. My brothers Toyota IQ remains £0 from 2002. Im not sure if it applies to older cars pre 2011. 0.9 liters may remain 0-£20 pound as well as small hybrids
  20. 🤣🤣🤣
  21. What can they do when the government is putting a deadline on ICE. Left the EU but still subject to their emissions laws. Oh well it does look nice.
  22. Tailgating Boyracer magnet too.Yeah theres a chance if its too high and protruding the car you could slice someones neck open whose jaywalking.
