  1. A few teams (Brazil, Spain) are doing what they need, and no more, in my opinion. We'll see a different side to them in the knockouts. Belgium were my tip pre-tournament, and nothing I've seen has changed that (although, Brazil do look a little better than I thought they would). Agree about Colombia, sadly... far more creative than us. Have to disagree about Portugal though, I don't think they've looked very cohesive.
  2. Now sold. Lock/Delete thread as you see fit. Thanks for being a great forum during my Z ownership. Cheerio. Gary
  3. Hi guys, my 350Z is now up for sale. Simply hardly being used, and I need a large family car. 2005/05, 47800 miles, FSH, Rays albeit refurbished in anthracite, Pioneer AVHX8500DAB head unit with USB input in arm rest cubby and full steering wheel integration (original supplied). Billet weighted gear knob from this forum (original supplied). Clear front reflectors (original orange ones supplied). 5/16th plenum spacer fitted. Clutch line replaced with braided version, and full bleed using RBF660. Great condition, apart from usual front-end stone chips. Open to reasonable offers.
  4. I've experienced something similar, although mine stayed past 2800rpm. Its happened maybe 10 times. Come off gas and it goes... back on and it usually doesn't return. Only happened when I've been driving "spiritedly" so i think its heat-dependent... maybe a weird intermittent exhaust blow.
  5. You're probably right... but as it is, they're sat there doing nothing, taking up space, and I'm facing having to take them to the local scrappy (which will be two trips as I don't want to risk cramming all 4 in the Zed!) So, if someone wanted to swing by and pick them up, it'll be a win-win for us both.
  6. I realise no one wants these, but worth a shot. I have 4 touring alloys recently removed from my car. 2 are in excellent condition, 2 are very lightly kerbed most of the way around the rim. They have tyres, 4 x Bridgestones, they have tread left (2 have plenty) but 2 are looking perished and were advisories on my last MOT. Free to collect, 10 mins from J20 of M5. If anyone is seriously considering these, then I will get pics and measure the tread depths.
  7. I think everyone should try a bit of coding, in my experience most people get a bit of a kick out of it. I've been a developer for nearly 20 years, most of that as a senior/team lead. Almost entirely using Microsoft IDEs... and the ubiquitous HTML/CSS/Javascript obviously. Never tried Python though.
  8. In all serious, his first contradiction is to state that "He" controls the constellations, whilst in actual fact the whole reason we "know" this will happen on the 27th is because we know the constellations/planets follow an entirely predictably and unwavering path. Sort of shot down his own argument there
  9. That'll be my dad's 67th birthday... he'll enjoy welcoming the rapture whilst savouring his birthday whisky!
  10. Agreed, I think you've gone too dark. They look like part of the bumper, which is daft as why would there be such a chunky recess there? Lovely shine on your paintwork though
  11. Marvellous... probably being thick, but how should I supply my details and pay?
  12. Next up, to fit the refurbished Rays that have been sat in the back of the shed for the last year
  13. Having completed an oil change, new air filter, and replacement of clutch slave cylinder (including new braided line and full bleed) I finally got round to fitting some bits I've had for a while. So, new clear reflectors and silvatec indicator bulbs. Then polished the headlights with the DA, and sealed with Megs headlight protector/sealant. Very happy with the results, although the Megs stuff has left some hard-to-shift residue on the headlights. The eagle-eyed might just spot the new stubby aerial too!
  14. Well, that was fun I hadn't spotted that the flexi-line was fixed to the car with a big spring clip... sort of assumed it would come loose once I disconnected the hard line. Realised in the nick of time before too much fluid had escaped, re-tighted it up to properly have a look (topped the fluid back up to max). That spring clip is a right pain to remove, but managed it, then swapped over the old to new flexi-lines, again without losing too much fluid. Manage to start the bleed with the slave cylinder clamped in, as per a tutorial I found on youtube... also used the vaccuum bleeder for the initial bleed, as you're pulling a lot of fluid down to fill the new line and slave, so the traditional method would be a pain. Regarding the valve in the line, I read that that prevents using a pressure bleeder to back-fill the system, but there's no reason for it to prevent use of a vacuum bleeder. Regardless, I finished off the bleed the traditional way, with the help of the misses. All seems good, but haven't been for a drive yet as doing more jobs to the car.
  15. Yes, that's all in hand... have new slave, shiny new braided flexi, and have read the bleed procedure from Nissan's own service manual. Oh, and a few bottles of Motul 660 to freshen with. (Slightly annoyed it recommends NOT using a vacuum bleeder, as it means I'll have to rope the misses in to help!) Anyway, question remains... will fluid whoosh out everywhere when I disconnect the old line? I'm guessing not, but want to be prepared!
  16. Possibly a daft question... am replacing my clutch slave cylinder and flexi line... when I disconnect the old flexi line, will the hydraulic fluid **** out everywhere? I don't need to drain the fluid out before unscrewing the old line do I? Car is an 05 DE, so external slave.
  17. That's terrible news, there will be a period of mourning in the Gappy household. My eldest daughter (7) loves Edd.
  18. Football shirts! My family used to buy me a Spurs shirt most xmas', and got all put out when I'd never wear it out... used to play football in it mind, that's what it's good at!
  19. I'm sorry mate, I'm not familiar with the term but the capabilities of s health (the app which will track your activities) should be well documented online somewhere, or there may be a more advanced app for tizen (I hear some people laughing, but you never know ). Cheers... why is it funny though? Have I missed something?!?! Great review by the way, much appreciated There may well be a Strava app for the S3. I use runkeeper and I know there isnt an app for the S3 yet (there is for the S2 however), but S Health can be linked to runkeeper (and everything else) so it should be able to update it. S Health on the S3 is actually very good. It automatically knows what exercise you are doing. I go for a 3 mile walk most lunchtimes and the watch automatically knows when im walking, monitors my progress, tells me my speed etc then logs it in the S Health log. The same with cycling... you dont even have to tell it. It knows you going for a cycle ride, knows speed, how long, how many calories you have burnt, even your route via the gps. According to S Health, last week I was in the top 5% of all S Health users for my number of steps. Appears Strava have no plans to support Gear wearables natively. Apparently you can get it to upload to Strava by first syncing to S-Health... which is disappointing as I really wanted to justify buying the S3. Congrats on your steps though
  20. I need a new fitness tracker as i smashed my Fitbit Charge HR over xmas. Was toying with finding the extra spondoolies and going for the S3. Don't suppose you know if the watch by itself can record a Strava run/cycle?
  21. I don't know what your problem is mate but the majority of posts I've seen from you are overly aggressive and self righteous, there's no need to attack people because you disagree with them. Yep... and still no apology for claiming Meister's post was plagiarised. Are you on commission from KW or something? Nope. But Jerrick earns for his wares sold. Make of that what you will. And the stuff Jerrick posted is all available from the internet - nothing new there. https://www.qa1.net/...monotube-shocks https://www.tein.co....ecial/ni_toryu/ A couple of links out of the hundreds available Nope, I think you misunderstand... you accused him of "copying and pasting" his post, but now you're merely backing that up with "well it's public domain info"... that's not the same thing at all. It's been public domain info since Principia Mathematica, that doesn't mean all physicists are plagiarists! Have your winky and smiley back
