  1. Never seen one of those before. Got some more details on it? Here you go mate. http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/nissan/350z/724/NIS234M/transmission_mount_
  2. CD009!!! Brought from a thoroughly nice bloke in Devon. Will probably bite the bullet on this one and get it fitted by a garage. Without access to a ramp I really don't fancy it on my drive way!
  3. That's worrying, I've got Hosetechnic to as recommended by a few folks in here.
  4. Couple more updates. Got some canards from tarmac sports. Haven't had a chance to take proper pics yet, just snapped a couple after a run out to test the new transmition mount at the weekend. Please excuse the state of the car, it's covered in pollen and my 1 year olds hand prints. I must admit I was amazed at the quality and fitment. They required no adapting and bolted straight on once I'd drilled a few holes in them. Next on was the VT transmition mount. Gear change certainly feels better and no noticeable increase in noise inside the cabin. I wouldn't say it's a night and day difference but as you can see, my oem mount was in very good condition. I still have the annoying crunch in to 5th gear but the mount has reduced it and it's hardly noticeable when the trans is warm now. I'm still picking the cd009 up on Saturday so that will hopefully put an end to my transmition issues.
  5. That sounds like a great shout mate. Have they given any kind of time frame for availability? Also I'm guessing your set up is fairly noisy with the LTH, how are you keeping the noise down for track?
  6. Header install compleat! Coolant system refitted, filled and vented. Took it out for a test drive today and all seems good. The header install isn't actually that bad, I managed it in my garden on axel stands with little more than a few spanners and a bit of pragmatic thought. So my current exhaust set up is DC ceramic headers, ART pipes and the Injen SES true duel system. It sounds great, has a real race car note to it higher up the rev range but isn't overly loud lower down. I suspect I will be over some of the dB limits on stricter circuits but thanks to Rob, I have a plan of how to cut the noise down a bit. Picking up the CD009 gear box later this month though I won't be fitting it straight away as mine is perfectly functional still so I'd like to get another couple of track days out of the current box and clutch then change the whole lot in one hit. Rob also advised me that changing the oem gearbox mount to a torque solutions one may help with my 5th gear crunch so I'm in the midst of sorting one of them out to
  7. Massive thanks to Chris and the team. Parts shipped over from the US in under a week, amazing service.
  8. Thanks mate, would be great to offer them up to see if they fit ok on my exhaust.
  9. Thanks gents, I'm also very pleased I kept her, I'm loving working on it as much as driving it at the moment which is a bit sad but it keep me out of trouble She is quiet as a fart in a lift which surprised me with the injen system. I think it's mainly down to the stock cats but to be honest it dose kill the drive a bit. As Rob has recommended, I'll try going with the decibel devils with the ART's and see where that leaves me.
  10. I used 6.4mm ally bar on the passanger side, basically an exacty copy of djtimo's build thread. Sadly you can't do that on the drivers side as the transmition side sits highter than the door side so would end up with a wonkey seat. The best option I found was the OMP seat mount but even then I had to cut and weld the subframe to avoid the offset seating position.
  11. Installed DC ceramic coated headers today. They are short tube so don't offer the same level of gains as long tube but paired with ART pipes they should provide some improvement. Compared to OEM they look like a vast improvement. The downside to Bedford was the gearbox developed a slight snick when engaging 5th gear so I'm in the process of sourcing a cd009 box. I think I've found one and should be collecting it at the end of the month if all goes to plan.
  12. Not really sure to be honest mate. I'm sure you are right on static it'll make no difference but at Bedford the instructor seemed to think it can have an impact on drive by limits. I'm passing noise limits as it is but that's with stock cats and I have ART pipes being fitted shortly which I think will put me over. Just trying to do every thing I can to shut her up whilst keeping a decent intake/ exhaust set up
  13. Would love to hear a comparison. I'll drop you a pm for more info mate.
  14. Hi all, Looking to reduce the noise for track work which sadly means the induction kit needs to be replaced with the OEM style air box. I replaced the original Injen filter with a BMC one which has covered no more than 1000 miles. I still have the original filter that I will include in the sale but it could do with a clean up. It will also come with the pipe that relocates the filter to sit in front of the rad to make if a proper CAI. I have also wrapped the pipe in heat reflective tape. See my build thread for more pics or I'll happily PM them to any one interested. I would also be interested in taking an 06+ OEM intake set up in part exchange. Postage is available at £10. Rich.
  15. Sadly not, I believe the 350z HR and 370z box is not compatible with the DE. Thank's for the heads up though
  16. Glad I saw this, I was planning on ordering the C.F. boot they have on eBay. Thought it seemed a bit too cheep to be for real.
  17. Yep, a vx220 caught fire, an rx8 self blew up on the first hot lap and a very unlucky guy chopped his finger off whilst shutting his door or boot!
  18. Nice to meet you to Wendy Apologies for not being more sociable, it was a hectic day! Next time give me a shout and you can have a blast in my Z to see how it compares to the BMW.
  19. I would be well up for a group track day. Please keep me in the loop with this one gents!
  20. These have now sold. thanks for all then interest.
  21. Recently had a change of plan with my Z and have fitted bucket seats so these are now up for sale. Complete bolt in solution, although you may need to fit a resistor if you have air bags in your current seats to prevent the air bag warning light. I'll also be removing the seat belt plug so you will need to swap yours over. Very comfy and much more supportive than the oem seats. The subframes are the low max ones from JDMdistro and the seat height is roughly the same as my oem import seats. Passenger side in very good condition, drivers side has a little more wear in the usual areas but nothing to bad. I'll upload some pics of the drivers side tomorrow, it's still in the car at the moment but will be out shortly. Due the the size they are collection only from Farnborough, Hampshire. I may meet half way within reason
