  1. I may be intersted in buying them depending on your price. Do you have a rough idea on what you are after?
  2. Saw various Z's at Basingstoke this evening, wondered if there were any members?
  3. Coldel, that front end looks great. A de-badge is defiantly on the list of to doo's in the new year. I'm on the hunt for some face lift head lights at the moment, that's gonna be my next big mod.... if I can find them at the right price!
  4. Thanks for taking the time to write that up. In terms of cost it's not actually as horrendous as I thought. Shame you're not closer, I would have loved to lend a hand to get some experience in fitting it.
  5. Hi bud, I had the belt snap on my SC'ed E46 330 and drove it home (only about 50 miles) with no adverse effects. I don't see an issue with what you're planning and driving it 300 miles, as you say there may be a slight loss of power due to a restricted intake but as long as you take it easy it should be ok. I stand to be corrected by some one with more experience though On a side note I'd be interested in hearing more about what you're doing, i.e. what parts you are fitting/ costs/ instillation time as this is something I will be looking in to in the not too distant future.
  6. Ta, mate I'm not 100% on the vents myself but they are growing on me, I think they match the stillen louvers quite well. I still have the old bonnet so if they start to bug me I can swap them over again. Ideally I would like a HR bonnet but the cost of buying and painting it could be better spent els where at the moment!
  7. Cheers for the kind words chaps, it's getting there slowley
  8. Few more sneaky updates. Ferodo DS2500 front and rear pads fitted, louvers painted and fitted, buddy club pro spec exhaust fitted, vented bonnet fitted, meisterR's set to height, neo chrome nuts fitted
  9. It has been available for mountain bike for a while and works well. Its saved me a few times from some very long walks down from the top of Afan park. I wasn't aware they made it for cars though, can't hurt to try it!

    Exhaust wanted

I assume so mate, I've just fitted a Buddy Club on mine that was previously fitted to a HR and it went on perfectly.

    Exhaust wanted

I've got a toyo sport back box and centre section. Not renowned for being the best quality but it sounded really nice, not overly loud but more than standard. Fitment was spot on to. I'll be giving it a polish up this weekend and can PM some pics if you want?
  12. "It was at this moment, T-Bear knew he'd f**ked up." Rely sorry to here this pal, I hope they don't go to hard on you.
  13. Great looking car OP. I'd go for decat's just for the rasp you get above 3K. Any power gains are a bonus

  15. So time for a few more updates. Today I finally got round to fitting my new MeisterR coilovers, SPL front camber arms and ebay special adjustable drop links. I have previously run BC BR series on my e46 and was very impressed with them, no issues in over 4 years so they were looking like a strong contender. After seeing MeisterR is sponsor of this forum my interest was peeked as I've never heard of them before and after a quick google and forum search I didn't find any bad reviews. After speaking with Edwin and Jerrick they recommended I go for the Zelta-S set up instead of the R's as my car is mainly used for street rather than a ball's out tack monster. I was very impressed with their knowledge and their honesty, there was no real pressure to sell, they seemed more interested in helping me make an informed decision on what to go for. So about the coilovers, they arrived the day after I ordered them, super fast delivery! The quality look amazing and the anodised red is very nice indeed, seems a shame to hide them away under the wheel arches! Fitting was as straight forward as can be expected, took me a couple of attempts to get the ride height I was after (and I'll still end up tweaking it tomorrow). I really like the remote damper adjusters for the rears, they almost look OEM on the rear strut. I also took the opportunity to snow foam and jet wash the inner wheel arches which are now spotless! I gave everything a liberal coating of Scottoiler FS365 corrosion protector to to keep away rust. I haven't taken it out yet so can't comment on the ride. Once it's had a week or two to settle I'll be getting it booked in for a full set up @Abbey Motorsport. I'm also in the process of polishing up a Buddy Club Pro Spec exhaust to give me a bit more noise, the previous owner said it was very loud which I don't doubt, but looking at the gaskets or lack of gaskets I think it was quite a bit louder than it should have been!
  16. So these little beauties arrived today courtesy of Tarmac! They clearly need to be painted and I think the only way to go is black. The question is do I colour code them to the car or go for a satin black finish?
  17. A "birds eye view" drawing of the garage with the position of the wall and the direction of the roof timbers would be helpful. But if you have no timbers sitting on the wall and it's just a flat roof above then I would suggest it's not load bearing. As Veilside says thermolite/celcon blocks are very light weight and would normally have a timber wall plate on top if they were supporting a structure such as rafters or joists. This is just my opinion though mate, always err on the side of caution when removing walls. Don't take what anyone says as fact unless their looking at it in person!
  18. Look's like it's running parallel with the garage roof joists so I doubt it will be a supporting structure. Is your garage single story with a flat roof?
  19. I know what your saying but just because the whiteline ones are more expensive dosent nessasarly mean they are better quality. The lack of item description is a bit worrying but at the end of the day they are just 2 ball joints connected up with a block of aluminium, I don't understand why the whiteline/spl ones are so expensive for what they are.
  20. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/g35-350z-front-adjustable-stabilizer-drop-link-sway-bar-1-pair-/251803079289?hash=item3aa0a21279:g:iIYAAOSwDk5UBZRe Has any one used these? Look like decent quality and half the price of SPL equivalent.
  21. I'd have to agree, you need spats to balance out the rear end, looks bit top heavy in my opinion! Great work so far though
  22. A dremel?! Must have taken you weeks! Even my grinder was getting a bit toasty haha. I know, the throttle body now looks awful, that will getting sent off shortly. It's a never ending story as you know, I'll do the TB then that will make the next thing look bad and so on..... Why don't we just have an easy/ leisurely hobby..... Crochet anyone?
  23. Cheers mate I got a 115mm dronco polishing kit for my grinder, only £16 so I thought I'd give it a go. It comes with 3 discs, first one being quite course to flatten off the metal, the second one to smooth it out further. Then there's a LOT of wet sanding by hand, starting off at 600 grit then working all the way up to 1200. I used a drill attachment to get in to the harder to reach areas but as I say the job is far from perfect. I was a bit naive in thinking it would be an easy'ish job but I certainly wouldn't do it again, I'd pay the £99 swap for one of the mopped Mark ones as his look perfect and rely are a bargain given the work it takes as a DIY even with a grinder.
  24. Neo nuts and louvers please Chris. Also I can't help but notice you have missed coilovers off that list ...
