  1. wrong! it's up to the seller to prove that there is no fault when they sold it, you don't have to prove anything edit: within the first 6m. SOGA Wrong. SOGA no longer applies. http://www.which.co....le-of-goods-act Rule stays the same although you're very correct, SOGA no longer applies "If you discover the fault within the first six months from delivery, it is presumed to have been there from the time of delivery - unless the retailer can prove otherwise"

  3. christ, I wouldn't be paying anywhere close to £7k for one in that state! You should be able to find plenty of decent options about that pre-06 for that sort of money and still be able to be very choosy with what you buy. You could pay <7k and get one which has done low miles and has been well looked after. forum cars always seem to be generally better cared for. and welcome to the forum
  4. Out of curiosity what's your budget like? Not sure whether it's just the photos but that car looks horribly cared for... and is that £6995 I spy on the first pic?! the 'shelf' is structural, like a big rear strut brace surrounded by lots of plastic. as far as parts availability there are plenty of second hand bits available on here (likewise with cars for sale) and traders as well that can sort you out with bits like badges I imagine
  5. When I was looking there was very little for less than £6k that didn't have excessive miles, cat d/c or was in ropey condition - either crap paintwork, lack of history, worn brakes, the stuff that if you cared you would get done rather than think 'aah I can still drive it' Ultimately you get what you pay for and if you're happy buying a performance car with 125k on the clock and no history then go for it and you'll pay less but you'll be paying less for a reason
  6. Not always We actually ended up twin drifting it at one point, that was mad. christ he's got some decent opposite lock on there! oh one more piece of advice...sort of similar to the mirror comment above. Don't be the guy who's holding everyone up in the corners but then nails it on the straights only to hold everyone up again at the next set of corners. very few things more annoying!
  7. smooth is fast! if you're sliding a lot you're losing momentum, see if you can find a guide online to the lines of the track to have a glance over before the day. if you get the lines right you're halfway there. had a friend come out in my 944 and he was all over the place, felt as though he was pushing it but the laps were massively slower just because he was trying too hard and as said above don't try and stay with other drivers. a well sorted 182 or vts/vtr with track tyres and a half decent driver will smash a newbie in a Z with road rubber on

    Courier Help

try UShip.com You put on details of what you're transporting, where from and where it's going and couriers give you quotes. I've just sold a motorbike and helped the buyer sort a courier through them. £98 from near Guildford to Catterick, N.Yorks
  9. Realised this maybe wasn't overly clear... to clarify... You DON'T have to remove the drop link (which can be a nightmare as they sometimes spin within the droplink) or the two A-Arm bolts. just the bits I've detailed above
  10. Sorry for dragging up an old thread but may save someone some time/effort.... Did the springs on mine this weekend, with the front shocks you don't have to remove all that is detailed in the first post. - strut brace off - brake hose clamp nut taken off - abs sensors pulledout of holdings on shock - bottom shock bolt off - top three nuts off and done! bit of wiggling and a bit of pressure on the suspension and the shock lifts out.

    lip spoilers

it's a bit of a nightmare choosing really! Originally thought I'd go with a carbon lip spoiler as it has a carbon splitter & canards, carbon chargespeed mirrors and the alloys are black...then decided it might be a bit much so thought I'd go with red...then I went with maybe no spoiler at all, keep it nice and smooth and now I'm back to the Blitz style one, possibly with carbon on the underside.. First world problems!
  12. Interesting! Knew JDM's were a bit cheaper but wasn't aware that it was that much of a significance. And is age all that relevant? if the models didn't change spec until 06 (or 07?) then I'd go for the one I considered to be in better condition, more cared for, lower mileage. We're filling up this guys for sale thread here, would it be possible for one of the mods to split it out and stick it in 'general' or something, unless it's just me whose interested and no one else gives a sh...
  13. Just out of curiosity...why? When I was looking to buy mine I couldn't find anything even close to this sort of mileage that seemed well looked after for £5k low mileage, seemingly well looked after cars, some others on here have been advertised for considerably more for similar mileage. or am I missing something? Edit: why would this one be worth £2.5k more? Not knocking the one in the link, it's lovely. as said, just curious! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/101224-2004-350z-modified-silver-black-gt-reduced-75k/
  14. I've been through this before when the gf bought a Mazda 3, had over 100k on when we bought it, not main dealer and turbo went after 2 months, spend many letters to the dealer, £800 for a new turbo before being told the engine would need replacing, more letters, refusal to do anything etc etc. used trading standards and the SOGA and got full amount for car plus all expenses back. took a while but got there. as someone else said send them everything recorded delivery and keep copies for yourself, as it's within 6m from date of sale it's on them to prove that it was fully working when they sold it rather than you prove it was damaged when you bought it. if they're a big place then i doubt they're going to close down over the possibility of refunding for an 8k car
  15. is it 110 the limiter kicks in at?
  16. Is there an easy way to tell if an import has had this done? I've got an import and don't really want it restricted in any way, shape or form!
  17. at idle there is no load on the engine though. it's all about being in the right gear rather than the highest gear possible. I always think if you put your foot down and it doesn't pick up cleanly you're in too high a gear

    lip spoilers

Not entirely convinced on the RT one, slightly less smooth coming down from the roof through off the end of the spoiler than I'd like... although it may end up being the one I get Does anyone know if there are any reps of this? This is ideally what I'm after, bigger than standard just adding a small flick at the back https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=10678 http://www.bodykits.com/Chargespeed/Spoilers/Nissan-350Z-Chargespeed-Rear-Wing/845020/
  19. welcome! seem to be a lot of us down this way, i'm near haslemere
  20. £5k off?! I can't believe they paid you to take a car off them!
  21. he parted with actual, real, fully legal tender in the form of cash to buy an MG ZR/Rover 25...that's all you need to know.

    lip spoilers

I do quite like the Blitz one but at £320... are there any similar that are a bit more wallet friendly?!

    lip spoilers

another spoiler thread! Taken the huge wing off the hatch and fancy fitting a small spoiler (was tempted by nothing but not sure how I feel about that...), don't want anything as big as a ducktail spoiler just a bit of a flick at the back would be fine, and preferably in carbon to match the other detailing on the car. has anyone got any recommendations (or photo suggestions would be massively useful!) thanks

    Teins

Not sure if this is really in the right place but... Any of our member dealers got a decent offer on the Tein S Springs? Cheapest I've found is on ebay at £155 but would prefer to get them through someone on here if possible! cheers
