    Rear lights

Are they drying matt or gloss? When I have tried this with previous vehicles it turns out completely matt
  2. Yes I agree, but it's all I can afford at the moment and it's a lot better than the mess it was before!
  3. little update, had a go (and completed) the bumper tuck mod this afternoon. I will post photos when I give 'er a wash tomorrow
  4. oh i do like the idea of 'whipping out the woolly mammoth' infront of people though, may go for it just for that!
  5. I just saw an advert on facebook for this, has anyone tried them? seems pretty good at its job http://shop.autofinesse.co.uk/aqua-deluxe
  6. it says lifetime on the picture, 2 year in the description, better check that
  7. misleading title, I was just getting my 'hunter' pack ready to find where the s*&t lives
  8. maybe I will borrow them off my sisters fiat 500 just for the MOT 'oh yes, I am 99% sure they are OEM..'
  9. ok, well ill give that ago. It does make sense. It wont be ridiculously low as I would ideally like to see where I am going when I drive. I guess the best thing to do would be to report back after the MOT!
  10. ah, lovely loopholes If only..
  11. That sounds risky, but I guess the chances of being in an accident are a lot lower than going for the MOT, which is probably why that was my first thought. He didn't mention anything about it not being road legal so I may be able to get my money back? gutted though because I was excited about that
  12. I saw that one another forum, but they said that wouldn't work ;(
  13. see I don't understand that, because my wiper blades pretty much reach the top of the windscreen, which would leave no room at all for a sun strip?
  14. I have ordered an opaque sun strip from eBay, but have had a quick look up on google as its 8'' deep, and there seems to be mixed feelings on what will pass MOT and what wont - some saying that it can only come down into 'wiper zone' by 20mm, which is no good at all, however I see many cars with a really deep one, any ideas?
  15. infact for a second review, my neighbour started using it a few weeks ago on his BMW...He lasted just over a week now its in the back of his garage in a lump
  16. I used the exact same one for a previous car, whilst it did cover it well - I think it has an elastic trim to cling to the bumpers - but once its wet, its a bugger to dry, and if you put it on wet, say, since it snowed in the night, then melted, it will freeze to the car the next -0. I stopped using it in the end.
  17. I spent some time at the weekend CF wrapping the interior, it was tricky but not impossible, a couple of mistakes, but luckily its quite tricky to see them! I did the common parts on the doors, and the centre dash, which finally looks complete - I installed the head unit and didn't have the surround, so it looked very under construction until now. It also matches the CF wrap on the gear knob - something I only noticed when I took the photo!
  18. I'm tempted as I love the look of canards, but do you think they would suit my zed? most cars with canards have a black splitter/lip, but I cant really do mine black due to the size of it (see the photoshop request thread!) so not sure if it will be ok?
  19. heres a photo from a better, sunnier, cleaner day
  20. Is it not because you forget the artist exists? Then get reminded with their death. Until you mentioned her I completely forgot about Cher, but now I'm singing 'do you believe in love after love DUUUIIUN DUN DUN DUN'

    hood wrapping

Ok thanks guys, I'm sure I could give it a go, but for the price of buying the bits, setting time aside to sort it with a mate, and potentially ruining the wrap, and ending up with nothing, I think it would be worth the extra and getting it wrapped by the pros, though I have been wrapping interior bits in CF, and that's is going well so far!
  22. my daily commute is a blessing and a curse, its only 10 minutes to the office, so nice and slow, and good on fuel - and little chance of skidding or loosing control in this weather, but not enough room to open 'er up
  23. I've edited this with a photo not so dirty!
  24. not to resurrect an old thread, but this is the exhaust which came with my zed. So I cant comment on how it went on, however it seems to be on ok! the sound is great, and cracking under a heavy foot. If you are tempted by them, don't be too put off by some of the comments, as I am one of the lucky ones
  25. brilliant thanks for that. not a fan of the painted skirts and bumper, so I'm glad you have helped with that before I did anything drastic! Pretty sure I love the hood, I will go ahead with that!cheers
