  1. This the one I believe: ebay item: 172056375014
  2. I like the yellow! Hello and welcome!
  3. Using a clay bar is such a light, delicate process I don't understand why you would need the pressure or mechanical advantage of a polisher. A clay bar requires no force by hand and a simple well lubricated gliding action to gently lift contamination from the paint. I see doing so with a polisher would only create marring to the paint. Using a clay bar on paint is only to be done if necessary, if you can feel contamination and know the car hasn't been cleaned correctly then yes clay the paint prior to polishing.
  4. Larry of Ammo NYC, will tell you everything you need to know. His methods are safe and his attention to detail is superb. Watch all his videos!! Someone else I would recommend watching his Jim White of White Details. Similar in that his drive for as close to a safe 100% correction as possible is great to watch!
  5. Not a complete car but components and panels. To me it isn't the same as a painted panel, the clarity from paint is enhanced but it works on all surfaces really, it still protects and along with hydrophobic coatings still offers water repellent properties.
  6. I would imagine there will be a patch left from the uncoated area underneath the badge, it would require the coating to be removed from the panel, if it was home applied, machine cutting would remove it, you can then reapply the coating.
  7. Good result. Like others have said you will need to completely sand back until the residue you are removing during the sanding process is clear, this way you know you have removed all of the uv damage, work back up the grit levels and compound and polish to restore the sanding marks. Again like mentioned a ceramic coating aimed at uv blocking will be best to avoid its return.
  8. I use gtechiq myself, always had great results. It's just important you clean and decontaminate the surface first and then apply the coating in small sections, buffying off throughly. Always test first, there's loads of videos on how to apply these types of coatings in YouTube.
  9. Firstly congratulations on a 14 year pass run!! Definitely seen this arm on my z with a 'kink' to it. Its been on the to replace list for a while, from memory they were £45 approx, might be worth getting one even if its just to see if they have the same kink angle.
  10. Ticket received and will aim to meet you at Holiday Inn. Fingers crossed all for good weather!!!!

  12. So... as the title says, I finally got round to the task of swirl removal and ceramic coating the zed. I've been building my new garage, so the car detailing has been put back and back until finally the garage was complete and I had time to invest! The process: Clean Pressure rinse Snow foam, non-contact wash Pressure rinse Wheel bucket, wheel cleaner, wheel woolies, plush mitt. Wheel arches cleaned. Pressure rinse. Decontaminate Two bucket method full car, contact wash. Tar removal via product, followed by clay bar. Polish Two stage polishing, 1st stage - swirl removal with Meg's 105 and microfibre cutting pad. IPA wipe down. 2nd stage, refinement with Meg's 205 and finishing pad. IPA wipe down. Protection Application of CarPro Cquartz ceramic coating to all glass. Two coats of CarPro Cquartz ceramic coating to all paintwork. The paint is soft and quite thin, so overall pleased with the result, some further wet sanding to the bonnet will happen to remove final imperfections but it'll keep me happy for now. Given the thickness of the paint it's original. Hopefully you enjoy the photos Scroll down for more!

  15. Would you sell just the trim, do not need the switches?
  16. Good luck on the car search, I'm sure you find one that suits your needs!
  17. Welcome, post some pics when you get one!
  18. I like the idea! Found this blog post about the mod.
  19. Thanks for that, the indent I can see is for the Z emblem, there should be an actual cut-out below that in my mind. I've emailed them anyway!
  20. So I was told the part number has changed, and the correct one for my chassis is F3100CD4MA, but they couldn't confirm whether it came with a cut-out for the side indicator.
  21. Okay thanks. Any idea where I can get a UK wing part number from? (Other than phoning Nissan, unless that's the best option)
