  2. The power assistance lessens the faster you go, so it's light for manouvering but gives better feel at speed. The ratio is fixed though.

  4. Yeah, don't try anything silly, and as I mentioned before stay relaxed and you'll be fine as long as your tyre pressures and wheel alignment are good. The more tense you are, the more it will feel like you're fighting to keep the car on the road. Zeds do have the ability to bite, but they're not one of those cars that will take every opportunity to do so - you have to push your luck for it to happen. Happy zedding

Well I guess you could say that the campaigns have at least been of the appropriate level for some of the public As the FTSE dropping was mentioned as an indication of how bad Brexit is for the economy, it's now bounced back up to 6220 (a huge gain of 199 points today), so does that mean that Brexit can now be seen as a good thing for the economy?
  6. But as far as Warsi's 'defection', this is just about publicity for her as well. If she had any integrity and truly believed in Brexit, she'd campaign herself about what she thought were the real issues with EU membership - maybe she could even provide some genuine facts which would help the voters. Switching to support Remain just shows that it's not about what she believes is best for the country, but getting to hang with the crowd that benefit her - I'm struggling to believe that she actually changed her mind about what's best for the country based on a dodgy poster. It's the same as the last MP to switch that I posted about - her reasoning was that she didn't like the lies that were being told by the Leave campaign (specifically the £350m for the NHS figure IIRC).

  11. I don't think I've read that. There's certainly been plenty of speculation about what kind of trade deals we'd get. The most likely outcome seems to be something like Norway, which basically means free trade but have to abide by the rules of the EU, so like I said nothing much would change. It wouldn't make sense for the EU to refuse any kind of trade deal. If you read the planning document by the Leave campaign you can see them leaning on the Canadian model not the Norway one tariff free on some markets but not in other like Finance. Interestingly though is that they are 'advising' the government on what to do, in actual fact the government could do anything it wants to do in terms of a trade model. Given our locality to Europe (unlike Canada) it is very likely I would think that movement of people would be in it. I think they refer to the Canadian model more because of the point that I made regarding the Norwegian one - that it's basically the same as what we have in terms of the compromises that have to be made, except that we wouldn't get to vote on EU legislation, so for the purposes of the campaign it doesn't make sense. Once all is said and done though, I would imagine the Norway model would be the most likely outcome.

If we want to have access to the Free Market whilst being outside of the EU(like Norway) then we have to accept the EU's 4 freedoms - Which include people (i.e. imigration), goods, services and capital. So access to the free market would mean no change to the imgration rules - which is a cornerstone of the leave campaign. The EU's chief exutive has already stated the UK won't have access to the free market if it leaves. There is no appetite in Europe to make the transition easy as they don't want anyone else to leave. Right, so like I said nothing would change. I don't believe the bit about not allowing free trade if we leave - that sounds like big talk to encourage us to stay. Some people talk about trade with the EU as if it's them doing us a favour. It's not - we get goods and they get money (or vice versa). It's mutually beneficial, and they would be shooting themselves in the foot by not allowing a trade agreement.

  14. I'm 99% sure I'm not going to vote. Realistically I don't think the result will make much difference (if we leave we'll probably secure similar arrangements to what we currently have), and the campaigns on both sides have been laughable. I have a feeling that we'll be staying in anyway.

  18. In other words back to where it was last September , the FTSE fluctuates its hardly a crash Indeed - as much as it's become a cliché, this is a scare tactic. The crash last August due to the China slowdown was far more severe, and we've already seen the FTSE at around 5500 in Feb this year (low as at yesterday was 5911, now bounced back slightly).

  21. Yeah, I'm happy that I went with the zed in the end, apart from the odd occasion that I need 4 seats. That said I still admire the E92s when I see a good one, and annoying there's a really nice 335i that lives round the corner from me in the right colour, right wheels and the M Sport kit. It's probably a bloody auto though, which is something else that people seemed to go for but I didn't want.
  22. Welcome. Re 1 and 3, that's personal preference, but as you asked I'd say no (particularly to different colour badges front and rear). Regarding tyres, if you're likely to drive in snow then you'll need winter tyres - otherwise the MPSS I have on my 350 have given great grip in the cold and wet.
